If you were starting a franchise today and could sign any player in the NBA, who would it be?
1. LeBron James, Cleveland — 50.0%
2. Anthony Davis, New Orleans — 25.0%
Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City — 25.0%
Last year
: LeBron James — 89.7%

http://blacksportsonline.com/home/2014/10/one-in-four-gms-would-pick-anthony-davis-over-lebron-kd/

So you defend your position that 100% of teams would take James by posting a link that's almost a year old that says 50% would take James?

Thanks I guess. No further questions your honor.

The survey was before the season started. AD got better and is still only 22

LeBron got worse and is going to be 31 next year

Next year the # on AD will probably be higher.

Also you said it was 0 and nobody in the world would agree like 15 mins ago.

Lol, you said every team but Cleveland would take ad. 3 out of 4 teams wouldn't take ad. You're argument is weak. Ad is not on that level yet.

Lol, you guys said every team but Cleveland. After ads playoff performance I bet he drops. He's really not some MJ/Lebron type player. He's more like shaq. Needs a Kobe. Will never win without a superstar on his team. Saw him in that first round against GS. Was not impressed, especially in the 4th. Fucking Bogut owned him.

First off a year is an eternity in the sports world .

I promise you that when that poll comes out next year those numbers are going to be reversed.

You said that I'm the only idiot in the world that would not take LJ #1. The. You post a link that's a year old that says 50% of the league would pick someone besides LJ.

And you say my argument is weak.

Lol

We said it is our opinion that he is the #1 asset in the league. We didn't say every single person that watches basketball is going to agree with that. You then said no one in the world is going to agree with our crazy asses, then you produced a link showing 6 months ago that 1/4th of the GMs in the NBA agreed with it.

As for the bball side of things, he is 22. He averaged 31 a game in that series and GS is arguably the best defensive team in the league.

His performance this season and his playoff performance isn't dropping him man. Pretty sure on that.

"He's more like Shaq".....I'm guessing he'll take that!

I mean, 3 out of 4 GM's wouldn't even take him, came 5th in MVP voting... got swept in the first round of the playoffs, needed to win the last game of the season to just get the 8 seed. Career 19.7 ppg, 9.5 boards, 1.6 assists? Lmao!! You guys are something special. But many of you also were saying Sterling would drag the Clippers ordeal out for years. We all saw how that turned out.

I'd suggest just asking me questions... if you are taking AD over Lebron you obviously don't have everything going on upstairs. And I can bet you the GM's that didn't choose Lebron were like the Knicks, Bulls, Heat, Pelicans, Thunder, Nets... pretty much any team that wanted him but he turned down.

AD over Lebron. You get good laughs from this site every day, lol!

Yeah I also found it humorous that that was the one site he could find to "substantiate" his claim; even though said source directly refuted the point he was trying to make (no GM in the game would take AD over LBJ).

If I want one player for one game or even one season, sure, it's Bron right now. But what our Eskimo friend can't seem to grasp is that he is on the the downward part of his arc while Davis is on the upward part of his. So as far as starting/running a franchise...comparing his 2014 numbers (or team's win/loss) to LeBron's is pretty meaningless to the whole conversation.

What I find humorous is you guys care what the site name is. It was a simple google search about GM's and the site is simply talking about a survey that was given to the GM's by the NBA. You guys can find other sites with the same information if you want. Really not that complicated, but you guys aren't the smartest people out there.

Heck, you guys think some player who's been in the league for 3 years and has won 0 playoff games is the greatest player ever, lmao!

What a clown show. Lebron is averaging 26.7 pts, 9.6 boards, 7.7 assists, 2.1 steals per game these playoffs but he's on the downward part of his arc. Can't write better comedy. Only GM's that wouldn't take Lebron are just sour that he didn't choose to play for them. AD is not even in the same conversation as Lebron. It's cute that a player who's been in the league 3 years, hasn't won a single playoff game, only made the playoffs because Durant was injured, averages less than 20 pts for his career, would be chosen over one of the greatest players in the history of the game who is only 30 years old.

Kids do say the darnedest things. Heck after these playoffs, I'd take Blake Griffin over AD.

Lmao, here's one from USA Today from October, 2014... yea... looks like all the GM's in the league except the Cavs would take Lebron. At least this time their is 3 votes, as opposed to how many people who have considered the Saints to have the #1 defense in the NFL. You're getting closer CHOP. Still ridiculous, but proud of you. And you got that dumbass HarryCarey agreeing with you. That's usually a good sign you're on the wrong track, lol.

Alright, before bed... I had time to ponder this and I think I was out of line. I think I understand what you guys are saying now. If I had to start a franchise from scratch, knowing full well we were going to suck for couple years while the better teams with better players got older and we accumulated lottery picks and developed players, and I wanted to have the best team in 5-6 years, I would select Anthony Davis #1 all day!! My apologies.

Glad you could gather yourself emotionally and realize all we're saying is that the best player under 23 is a better long-term asset than the best player that is 30+.
