you're a fucking idiot. he was not talking about TT... anyone who does talk about TT is a fucking idiot.

TT is not part of the discussion.

OU and UT are the two teams that are being discussed and one has already beaten the other by double digits.

Anyone who does not recognize that is a fucking idiot.

Also OSU and USC are not the same at all. If OSU had been a one loss team then it would factor in.

The only way anyone can justify any of this stuidity is to bring shit into the equation that is inconsequential. Texas Tech, USC, OSU, none of that shit matters.

45-35 on a fucking neutral field. if that doesn't do it for ya than you're a fucking idiot.

don't worry you are not alone.

I'm tired of this neutral field bullshit. The Cotton Bowl is in Dallas and you know it. I've been to over 20 Red River games and the officiating I've seen there over the years is so fucking slanted in favor of the Longhorns it isn't even debatable. Take this neutral field shit somewhere else! Damn.

Due to the way everything played out, Texas deserves to be in over OU if we are going by poll dynamics, the way things should work, fairness, etc. The system screwed Texas in that regard. Texas DESERVES to be in the Big 12 game.

The good news is I think the pollsters got it right though. That Texas win over OU was a nice win and all, but I am convinced if Texas and OU played that game 9 more times, Oklahoma wins 7 of them straight up. Texas played the game of their lives. Returning kicks for TDs, squeezing the ball into extremely tight spaces. No running game. Texas getting marched on on defense. And I'm not bitter, I had Texas +7.

That being said, both of these teams do not play defense. AT ALL. It is arena football in the Big 12, and I am not buying any of the hype of these teams.

OU has had multiple games giving up nearly 38-40 points. One game? Fine, we'll call it a fluke. But the amount of points all of these Big 12 teams give up on a game by game basis is disturbing. Offense for show, defense for dough.

All of this arguing will be for not. There havent been many national champions that can't D up at a high level. You'll find a few, but the overwhelming majority play very good defense. VERY good.

Sorry but they don't. We both agree that Oklahoma is the better team. However looking at the overall body of work, they have a better case as well.

The Longhorn homers are obsessed with the H2H aspect but conveniently choosing to ignore they lost to Texas Tech. Based on actual H2H results, Texas Tech as just as much a claim as Texas does. However they got it right with Oklahoma going in.

If the goal of the BCS is to put the two best teams in the title game - then USC should be ranked #1.

On a neutral field, USC would be favored over any other team. That is the true definition of 'best' because you can put your money where your mouth is.

USC/FL are the two 'best' teams - the system is a joke.

why is USC so great? because they can whip up on Notre Dame and Washington St? wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!

USC could not beat Oregon St, who I believe is a 4 loss team. That speaks VOLUMES for how "good" USC really is.

And it does not matter that USC would be the favorite over any team....what matters is if they could win the game. Just because you are the favorite does not make you the better team. USC was a 24 point favorite at Oregon St, look how that turned out

We beat them. That's statement is impossible.
Texas beat OU early in the season when these two team were still in immature processes. Week by week gone by, TX lost to TT while OU beat TT badly when TT was in their prime. How do you think TX is better than OU now? When you were kid you bullied me but now i am grown up , i just embarrassed the guy whipped you in public. You think you're still better than me?....nah:103631605

Woody, are you KIDDING me? Texas Tech? They just almost lost to fucking BAYLOR of all teams today, and got their asses waxed 7 days ago. You really want to see Tech next week with no Crabtree? I'll give you a break since you probably don't watch Big 12 that much. Sounds like you watched Tech twice this year, both on Saturday night primetime games. If you watched Texas this whole year, you'd absolutely think they would be deserving to go. Having to play #1 (Oct 11th), #5 (Oct 18th), #4 (Oct 25th), then go to #7 and losing on the LAST PLAY. Texas deserves to be the Big 12 South representative, plain and simple.

This is a nature of let down after their st lost.
Every team were rank #1 or #2 in the poll when they lost their st game and lost their ranking, they lost or not cover the next game.Check USC, GA, Penn st,TX, Mizz,.... and now TT. It kept on like that. Beware of betting:103631605

This is pathetic.......

Oklahoma lost to Texas on a neutral field....

Texas should be going to the Big 12 championship game...

I realize Ole Miss beat Florida....so does that mean Ole Miss is better then Florida? I get the argument...I do.

However, had Ole Miss gone 11-1 as Florida did, would we be having this argument? NO!

This is horrible........the BCS is horrible.......The Big XII's tie-breaker's are horrible....the fact that Texas, Oklahoma, Okie St and Tech are all still in the Big XII south when shit like Colorado, Nebraska and Mizzou stand alone in Big XII North is horrible.....

who cares really?

whats the difference---does it really matter who Florida is going to embarrass? Does it matter if they beat OU by 20 or Texas by 25? SEC breads NFL players on the 0 and D line and in the secondary. This will be seen come January when whomever Florida plays...my guess...they beat someone from the Big 12 by 3 TDs

The Gators don't have a track record against elite offensive teams with QB's like Bradford and McCoy. They beat up on a down SEC conference this year. The SEC went something like 3-6 against ACC this year. Florida is a great team and "SHOULD" make it to the NCG but I don't think they embarrass anyone.

I think Texas should go over OU though but the Big12 has it's rules and it is what it is Longhorn Fans. Your not getting screwed. There are arguments both ways that make sense. The Big 12 needs to redo their rules for tie breakers. When your down to 2 teams like OU and Texas, go with who won the head to head.

I agree, the head to head match should determine who goes to the Big 12 game, but better yet, we should change it in which instead of North v. South, just have the top 2 teams in the conference play for it.

Texas deserves?

There's a 3 way tie for first in the south. ESPN and ABC seem to forget this and only want to talk about Texas and Oklahoma. The fact is Texas Tech did beat Texas and Oklahoma played a tougher schedule. There should be a playoff system. There still would be a Big 12 team or two left out in 8 team playoff.

I never understood why the Big10 agreed to play the top PAC 10 team in LA every year for all the marbles. 90% of the time going back 20 years or so it's going to be either USC or UCLA playing in a home game. Meanwhile you have a roster from the midwest in LA for the first time on vacation and you wonder why it's a blowout every year. What a bunch of dumbasses.

Not saying USC wouldn't have beaten Michigan, Illinois, ect... the last few years but it's still a huge advantage.

I agree with you statement completely. Particularly back in the day when traveling out west was probably only done by players who came from some sort of wealth. Going to California for the first time is very exciting growing up in the Midwest.

The Big 10 should ask for a bowl game to be played at Lambeau Field on January 1st.

Neutral my ass, the game is in Texas!

That game is in Dallas, which is half-way, if not a little closer to Norman rather than Austin. There are just as many OU fans there as UT fans. Being from north Texas, I can tell you there are just as many OU fans around there as UT fans. Plus, the refs brought in are are neutral too.

Every year the OU/UT game is held there, for the purpose of holding it at a true neutral site because it is such a huge rivalry.

If you think UT has a home advantage in that game, then you are crazy. Even OU fans would agree with me.

I agree with the fact that the Cotton Bowl is a neutral SITE, with pretty much 50/50 fanbase, but you can NOT over look the number of calls that went Texas' way at that game. How many times did OU get called for late hit out of bounds on Colt McCoy when even the announcers were saying it was a terrible call? I believe there were three of those calls in ONE DRIVE. I will say the interception that OU made and wasn't called in the endzone was a judgement call and could have gone either way, but anyone watching that game could see those late hit out of bounds calls were TERRIBLE and kept Texas' drives alive when they were stalling.
