There's a 3 way tie for first in the south. ESPN and ABC seem to forget this and only want to talk about Texas and Oklahoma. The fact is Texas Tech did beat Texas and Oklahoma played a tougher schedule. There should be a playoff system. There still would be a Big 12 team or two left out in 8 team playoff.
Yep, everyone forgets it's a three-way tie. The natural instinct is for people to eliminate TT because OU destroyed them. However, they have as much a claim to be the Big XII South winner as Texas and OU do, before tiebreakers are factored. If any Texas homers disagree, it's because of how bad TT lost to OU. In essense, TT is being punished for being the destroyee, but no one is crediting OU for being the destroyer.
Also, Tejanos, keep in mind that in order for the Shorthorns to even have had a chance they had to root for OU to beat OSU. In other words, if OSU would have beaten OU, TT would have been the South champion, not Texas. So now all of a sudden, with OU's victory people claim that Texas is being screwed which makes no sense whatsoever.
