Wish I knew Jankovic has a cold , it really affected her play but cant take anything from Dementieva either . After the second set I thought Jankovic would take this one home but it wasnt the case , she had plenty of breakpoints at 1-1 in the third set and wasnt able to break which really decided the outcome .

To me the duo from Poland is clearly the better team on this surface with many matches on clay courts under their belt . Nestor and Zimonjic are sure good doubles players too but not on slow courts . They were almost out yesterday against Blake&Fish yesterday but managed to pull it out in the decider .

My favourite player to oppose - Olga Govortosva - suffered a double-bagel loss in her last outing, trounced by young gun Alisa Kleybanova who proved that form to be a little quesitonable with her next-round loss to Vera Dushevina. Olga has average movement, a dodgy second serve and makes a lot of needless errors probably because her choice of shot isn't always great either. Karin Knapp, well known early on in her career for her baseline consistency and counter-punching grit, is surprisingly on a 4-match losing streak and won only one game against big-hitting Kaia Kanepi in Berlin last week. Back to her home coutnry, the Italian will enjoy the home crowd support (7-3 in Italy since July last year) and a superior clay court record. She is deceivingly effective on serve when in full flight, and will put the ball in the right position to frustrate Govortsova who will try and push for something a little extra. Olga, in my opinion, needs to take some time off the top tier and return to some lower ITF events to get that winning feeling and some self-belief, and until then I will happily oppose her with most. Knapp to progress.
