Too funny.

First I was getting complaints that I was taking teams out of contention too fast. Now I can't take them out fast enough!

Green Bay has to be elimated, no? Looking like the AFC wins the Super Bowl this year. Not Miami of course, but one of the other remaining teams.

i guess so. only 6 teams in the nfc have a winning record. only seatle is on the list. I don't think an NFC wildcard has ever won the SUPERBOWL.

The next 3 teams out will be the NFC teams. AFC all the way, they won't even have to play the superbowl, it's already won.

Well one thing is for certain. With ONLY Green Bay(LMFAO), NY Giants and Seattle remaining in the NFC we can start pounding the AFC to WIN THE SUPER BOWL!!!!! Especially since, Green Bay and the New York Giants very well could not even be in the playoffs and the only thing Seattle might win vs any team in the AFC is a game of tiddly winks LOL....

Oh Big Lou if this is correct we all could make enough to retire. Oh wait a minute, I am retired LOL....

Regards
Bernie

I dont see how the giants can possibly be still in. They are the terrible and they just lost to pathetic atlanta. If the giants go to the superbowl I'll give you 500 dollars big lou and if they don't you give me nothing.

The Giants currently have 1 1/2 strikes against them so it's just a matter of time before they are officially eliminated.

Lou, humor the Board. How many strikes do each of the remaining teams have? The Giants have 1.5...Green Bay obviously made it through another home loss and is under .500 but they must be getting close.

Appreciate the information.

I don't think it is correct to think that because only NYG, GB, and SEAT are left in NFC it means that one of them will be the NFC representative in the Super Bowl. Just that they are the only NFC teams left which currently still qualify as a super bowl WINNER under Lou's system.

So...you are not really getting an edge if you rush off to put futures bets on, say, SEAT to get to the Super Bowl. Lou's system nothing about who GETS to the super bowl ('cept for the winner). If Seattle is eliminated next week, they still could be the NFC rep in SB. So could Minn be the NFC rep in SB -- Lou's system just says that they won't win IF they get there.

Personally, I kind of like this suspense. A bit like an Agatha Christie novel, but with fewer hints or details. Every week, we see another "character" knocked off, and the list of "suspects" gets smaller. And we all keep trying to guess who is the next to go.

I love the suspense too...it's going to be great when we get to the week before the Super Bowl and the only teams left under Lou's system are the two teams playing in it!

The winner will be announced after the regular season has ended and before the first Wild Card game is played.

Big Lou,

Theoretically, isn't it possible to know the winner through your system any Sunday now? The remaining teams could knock themselves out all at the same time and there would be only 1 team left. Ta-da!

Uncle Moneybags,

Some of the parameters used to measure the best teams remaining run right through the last game of the season. We will know officially after the regular season has ended.

Philly and Stlouis in the NFC Championship. Tennessee and KC in the AFC championship. If I had to chose a superbowl I say Philly/Tennessee.
