The 1997 Denver Broncos allowed 4.7 ypr on defense, the worst ever by a Super Bowl champion. The Chiefs are currently allowing 4.9 ypr, 31st in the league.

Five worst defensive ypr by Super Bowl participants:

1997 Broncos: 4.73 ypr (Won Super Bowl)
1984 Dolphins: 4.71 ypr (Lost Super Bowl)
1987 Broncos: 4.44 ypr (Lost Super Bowl)
1973 Vikings: 4.39 ypr (Lost Super Bowl)
1982 Dolphins: 4.39 ypr (Lost Super Bowl)

So how did the Broncos overcome that defensive flaw? Easy. They had a dominant running game, led by Terrell Davis. He could not be stopped. His seven straight playoff games rushing for over 100 yards between 1997-98 is an NFL record. That's how you overcome a suspect rush defense.

So are the Chiefs a dominating rushing team? Don't think so.

very interesting thread. i just dont understand people who make fun of you. lots of teenagers here. you are a knowlegeable man and i appreciate your contributions. i have been doing something similar for many years now and and stil have 2 teams alive in the NFC (gb one of them) as well as three in the afc (including ten and bal). this is why i find this thread very interesting. i check back every week and compare our survivors lol. gl to you.

Green Bay is the only NFC team left. They have a decent chance, and I respect your analysis but I am not too sure of that my self.
