I KNOW the truth hurts, but it was something you needed to hear...

:103631605

Nah. Not for me, maybe you.

My team (I'm originally from L.A.) USC has outscored your SEC teams 167-38 over the last 4 games this decade... so far. But none of them want to come out here and play or even want us over there anymore. Why is that?

:think2:

I'd have never mentioned it 'cuz we don't brag like y'all do. We take care of our business on the field.

Y'all talk about it too much and then don't go out and prove it on the field around the country like you should be doing. Y'all are a bunch of puss-ies 'cuz you don't. That's the truth too. Hurts, don't it?

of a trend. Poor MSU & Ol Miss, looks like they're really the "poor sisters", but we already knew that. It is interesting tho.

it doesn't....top to bottom, there is no way you can say this isn't the most competive confrence, their is a reason that SEC double didgit dogs are always a great bet, you won't see a trend like that form in any other confrence.

I agree that the SEC is the best conference, but what I don't get are these Tenn and UGA fans, whose teams have really not done much. I don't count beating Hawaii and losing to WVU in the 2 Sugar Bowls as doing much.

For those in Tennessee that are geopgraphically inept, like yourself. They played Va Tech in DC, Reggie Bush's Sophomore.

ok they are scared of the big east! and lets not leave at it USC..all the pac-10 are scared of th big east! .. until i see arizona state play at south florida ill assume its fear. it has nothing to do with playing a limited amount of games per year

TN plays 3 of the ap top 10 in the first 6 weeks of the season ...plus the trip to UCLA ...i wish mike hamilton could schedule 200 games a year and play everyone , but rest of you will have to wait your turn

The only thing irrational about this is your denial that USC has taken on anyone from anywhere and has anything more to prove about their OOC schedule.

Well, not really... I take it back. There's plenty of irrational in what you say aside from that, such as what playing Duke would prove... or the rationality of your argument that playing Duke would settle something that say Auburn, or Nebraska or Arkansas hasn't already proven.

You say they are CS because Duke is ACC and USC hasn't scheduled ACC for a while. Last time I checked VA is in the ACC.... next question.

Anyone who would call USC's schedule any kind of chickenshit is either uninformed or demented. In your case it's obviously demented because you can spell a little better than most of your fellow backwoods inbreds.

I formally challenge Florida, LSU, Auburn etc. to lay it on the line and show they can beat decent ranked BCS teams outside of their own conference during the OOC season. Hell even Alabama showing up to play Washington would be something. The Big-12 does it. The Big-10 does it. All the big boys do it except for those "superior" SEC schools. And you haven't even noticed?

As far as guts goes, USC's got nothing more to prove. It's your chickenshit conference, and it's their top teams at that, who avoid national competition. Selfish little stuck up prissy debutantes. Don't want to soil their prom dress. Yeah, they reign supreme in a cute sort of way... supreme over each other... but nobody else as long as they are unwilling to play the rest of the country like everyone else does.

Now what the fuck does playing a game in Afghanistan have to do with LSU traveling to play USC in a home-home? Can you not think straight? Have you lost it? Not a soul on this board would miss a game like that... except for the fact that your teams don't want to ante up like the rest of the country does. I guess we'll all miss it thanks your guys who prefer to "play it safe." If that's not an indication of fear, nothing is.

That has nothing to do with a playoff or the reason why many college presidents in the Pac-10 are not interested in a playoff. The reason why is because the Rose Bowl has been paying out BCS type $$$ long before the BCS ever existed. They don't want a playoff to cost the Rose Bowl its prestigious position of being the richest of all the Bowl games. Compensate the Pac-10 for giving up a cash cow like that and you will see a playoff system.

An SEC schedule? You mean if they had to travel 3,000 miles for 4 conference games? They would go 8-4 at worst.

I don't understand this thread at all. I follow the SEC and ACC primarily and know there are some very good teams in both conferences. I also know there are some very good teams in the other conferences although I don't have access to the same kind of inside information on those teams. The primary reason I visit this sight is to get info on teams in those parts of the country I have little good info on to allow me to decide which games I want to bet.

There are several very knowledgeable posters on this board that seem to know their regions very well. This info has helped me win money on many games the last several years that I probably wouldn't have bet without their input.

Debating which conference is best does not help me pick winners and is about as useful as arguing which woman is the prettiest. It boils down primarily to one persons opinion vs anothers and can be argued ad infinitum backed up by statistics each wants to use in their argument.

Until there is line I can bet over the "best conference" I'll just view these threads with amusement. The value of this site to me is all about info on individual matchups by knowledgeable posters regardless of which conference the teams are from.

I will say this about OOC schedules for the SEC teams. It's all about money. The stadiums are for the most part filled regardless of the opponents and it's cheaper to stay closer to home and they don't need to travel for recruiting purposes. Simple as that IMO. Its one reason TENN most always plays a strong out of conference schedule because they are forced to recruit nationally. They don't have the instate high school talent of a FLA, LSU, BAMA, GA, or AUB.

JMO and I really value the info of posters from other regions that provide insight other than "Team A sucks or Team be will kick their ass"

Again, JMO. BOL to everyone this season.

Still waiting on that proof Ferris? It's been over 24 hours so far and not a single post. You've got a lot of work cut out for you if you want to prove I lied. I doubt you will find anything after the fact... rubbing it in or whatever you accuse me of doing.

Damn, come to think of it, what a nightmare that game must have been for you... even still. Now you are fantasizing people like me stuffing your own ego death back in your face. Hallucinations.

I purposefully avoided rubbing it in. After all, you are the one who has to live with Fulmer's new contract for another 10 years. I feel a sorry for you, stuck with a coach who appears to have "turned the corner" as his golden years approach, when guys like him should be out fishing and having a good time playing golf. If I was you, I'd be up in arms. What a waste of perfectly good talent on a coaching staff that squanders it. So much for Cutcliff the savior eh?
