Some things I need to address

We appreciate your stance and agree that this was not a situation handled well by anyone. For some background, prior to the contests taking place, these contests were moved to the community sub-forum (prompting backlash) where it was made clear the contests are for the poster community and not endorsed by The RX. What our response today was about is that it is troubling an individual with forum moderator rights has not answered any questions from members waiting for well over a month to receive their winnings, even when there is time to sign in and post on other topics. We expect better from any forum moderator and can do better.

We do accept that it was probably a poor idea to allow the contests to take place for this very reason, as any contest where funds are held particularly by an individual and not a company or a group of individuals is not scalable, but as the contests had run for many years without incident we didn't want to take away from the user experience from longstanding members.

BAS is still free to post and signed in as recently as Wednesday. Moderator status is not what's important right now, before he returns to the saddle we need some idea of when the winners are getting paid and what steps we can take to avoid this from happening in the future.

Why do you feel it's more important to create distance between your own head moderator than accepting responsibility? Shouldn't this post be more along the lines of we are working on finding a way to pay the winners. It may take X amount of time, but winners will receive their money. Wouldn't that have been a better response?

We also know now Hache claimed all the electronics were taken away from BAS, but found out today BAS logged on Wednesday. So who’s telling the truth? This entire story is riddled with inaccuracies.

15 pages. 15 pages and I didn’t say a word about this situation. The moment I offer one opinion, I’m arguing?

You just said you only found out about this situation 2-3 days ago. We now know that’s a lie because Capt. Lee posted he told you about it on Feb. 3. Stop pointing fingers and own up to another debacle the RX has caused. And stop lying.

stop being a NARC maybe he forgot like the lady with the water under her shopping basket :ohno:

It's time you take your venom back down to the Rubber Room where you were advised to keep it in the past.

Or maybe Capt. Lee is lying huh? We should ask him.

While BAS was on vacation, yes he sent a pm.

At that point he was still gone and I told him he should be back in week or so.

Not even relevant to the point that I have no dealings with that personal contest between posters that is not sponsored by TheRx.

It is run by BAS PERSONALLY and he is responsible for it, not myself or TheRx.

I did not even browse his PERESONALLY RUN CONTEST until maybe 3 days ago & stumbled upon the concerns.

It's really not that complicated.

But when its run by the head mod, obviously there is an assumption that the RX is involved

It isn't that simple and I have no skin in the game. But I find "RX Forum" posts injudicious. They are responsible and it's time they understood they have some accountability here.

Well, and this is exactly why SBR does not allow private contests there and even against it here.

Management made that clear here when the took over, but BAS has run these contests for many years and asked if he could still run them personally.

He was granted that permission based on 2 stipulations:

1. The contests are not promoted on the main forum or sports forums as they always were in the past which most will remember, and complained about when they were moved.

2. BAS made it clear that TheRx was/is in no way associated with or responsible for these contests

Bottom line even when & if BAS returns and everyone is paid & happy, odds are these contests will not exist here any longer

Hache is 1000% correct, BAS made it perfectly clear theRx was not involved or responsible. As a matter of fact, the "Rx" name had to be removed from the contests and a new sub-forum was created

I remember all the legalese to a "T". All the implied stuff is wrong, and it's exactly why these contests will cease to exist.

Can't believe people are giving Hache grief. The drama queens around here are showing their true colors, my respect for them will be forever tarnished because I just don't like interacting with assholes

Defying, I'm NOT talking about you my friend, just want to make that perfectly clear. I'm talking about the muckrakers, you're NOT one of them

I have no idea where or if BAS pointed this out, but I specifically remember the discussions as I was included

I'm not saying that statement isn't true. In fact, I know you well enough to tell others its true - you're not a liar. However, We didn't know these changes. We play these contest in good faith. I would see no risk in playing in an RX/SBR backed contest.

Winners should be expect to be paid. Winners should hold the forum, management, ownership responsible - the posting audience here too, me included. Winners not being paid should be no different than a book stiffing winners. SBR going to need to downgrade there own rating. If they continue to deny any responsibility, how can you take their ratings seriously as a "protector of the player" when they stiff there own.

I'm confused about something. If it's 100 percent certain BAS will pay as others have stated then why does it matter if the RX is or isn't involved? Seems to me the only reason you would ever need to defend yourself is if you feel there is some doubt about the story or about the money. Maybe I'm reading too much into this.

Looks like BAS has been fired/demoted.
Might be hard to believe for some but BAS really fucked up this time.
