i dont know BAS from anyone here but if i bring up an internet browser on my laptop im logged in to the RX so anyone could be using his computer from a hospital or something like that. not saying anything and not owed any $ but the recent login doesnt really show anything else to me since my computer logs me in automatically. not defending, trying to clarify.

Agree about the login. Doesnt mean anything.

i get your frustration. 2k aint small potatoes to me so i would be worried/upset also

Agree, hotshotgambler has every right to be worried and deserves ZERO backlash. The guy is owed 2k and the guy holding the money had two strokes, that alone is worth worrying about. Everyone wants to act like a bigshot and that 2k means nothing to them but in all reality 2k is a months salary to millions of people in this country. Remember everyone on these forums and the internet are rich, banging 10s, hit 60%......until they don't.

One lesson to learn from this which was mentioned by the RX owner is the fact that one person should NEVER hold on to that vast amount of cash without a backup plan. Anything can happen, car accident, freak occurrence etc. This is a lesson to all.

Thanks Gabe, I have a feeling if BAS returns I will face backlash, slow pay, etc.

I think BAS would understand your frustration. If all is true, very unfortunate. Something’s off.

Seems to me he could tell his wife, daughter someone to inform the forum everyone will be paid once he well enough to do so

I only discovered the concerns just 2-3 days ago.

It was a day later I spoke to management about it, which is why we're now hearing their statement.

Since it is and has always been a privately run contest by BAS and other posters, managed in a special forum that he created specifically for such, it's not something I personally monitored.

Hopefully we hear from him soon.

I have no horse in the race but how does Betalls boss NOT know he has the health issues you outlined? If I have a stroke and can't work for a few weeks my boss and his boss and his boss would know about it. And Hache you only knew people hadn't gotten paid 2 days ago?

My mind is boggled...My #1 concern is BAS gets well (it's only money) but this is like a movie script with twists and turns

Guys started complaining about it in the contest forum on January 19th.

I've made many lasting friendships in the last 20 years on the sports forums and been fortunate to have had many more positive experiences/dealings 90%++ than negative ones. I consider BAS/family good friends and have had 100% positive dealings with him for the many years I have known him and his family. I have had 100% positive dealings with all the Mods on this site for many years also. I am 100% confident everyone will get paid from the contests which have been running on the site for several years with no problems in the past to my knowledge.

I was away for a bit so I will continue to get updated but since I work in the medical industry I feel it's important to say if what I read is true that he had 2 strokes and a heart attack those are life altering events which can have many effects short and long term. It did not happen that long ago, does he have any type of paralysis?, sensory or visual impairments? Problems verbalizing or understanding speech, eating and swallowing? How's his motility and body able to process everything ok ie... Medication, drips ...etc... It can affect emotion, cognitive levels, perception and orientation. Everyone's body chemistry is different so we do not know how he is tolerating everything.

In my opinion the timelines are still quite short from when this all happened so having a level of patience is important since your wasting a lot of energy and time on aspects you have no control over for the moment. So I understand completely the strong opinions and emotions involved at this times but considering the events and circumstances having empathy, wishing him and his family a good recovery is important, having a back up plan moving forward for the contests is important. Waiting for your payout within acceptable timelines is reasonable in my opinion also.

Great post, and I am also 100% positive everyone will get paid.

Also it's totally understandable to see people owed get emotional about this , but at the same time it's beyond disturbing to basically push the narrative that BAS is running off with people's money. Some people have no heart at all.

I think you should let people feel however they want to feel especially when you have no dog in the fight.

Guys started complaining about non payment on January 19th. How did you not know about the complaints until 2-3 days ago when they’re posted in plain sight?

I think letting other people who have no dog fight call the super moderator, who is going through a life-threatening crisis, a "sack of shit" and a "stiff" isn't acceptable.

I think feeling pissed/worried/frustrated about not getting paid is 100% fine. But attacking BAS is not.

It wasn't his job to monitor that situation in the first place. He wasn't moderating those contests. I doubt every moderator monitors every single situation here.

Hache I figured someone had reached out to you as a mod to ask for help getting paid. Maybe not...

I still find it amazing that his boss doesn't know he had a stroke and heart attack?

Thank you

As I already pointed out, BAS created that forum especially for the contests he does with some posters here.

I have no connection or interaction with them.
