Winners should be expect to be paid. Winners should hold the forum, management, ownership responsible - the posting audience here too, me included. Winners not being paid should be no different than a book stiffing winners. SBR going to need to downgrade there own rating. If they continue to deny any responsibility, how can you take their ratings seriously as a "protector of the player" when they stiff there own.

Why would he say he only found out about this dispute 2-3 days ago?

I don't know but at that time, the only questions about being paid were posts in the contest forum by hotshot and maybe one or two others. I sensed something was wrong when I noticed that a hotshot post was deleted (don't assume it was bas). Another post also was deleted in that thread yesterday.

Since BAS and I have always only dealt with money orders, I was usually paid later than most other winners. I didn't begin posting about this until I saw the pay pal people also hadn't yet been paid.

BAS did pay me either shortly before or after Thanksgiving $3,000 for winning the college contest. It was a few weeks after it ended, which wasn't unusual. A number of things could have happened with BAS and we aren't going to know until some of his personal contacts here reach him or he returns. He has been in this business a long time, so I'm going to assume if he's able to pay he will and hopefully sooner than later.

When I read BAS initial post in this thread, it had the feeling of a farewell letter. Especially since he didn't even mention paying the contest winners. Hopefully I'm wrong and we're paid, but only time will tell.

I saw the update, BAS had a heart attack and strokes. After he started this thread, he had another stroke and doctors took his electronic devices away. Presumably to reduce stress, totally plausible despite the fact at least one poster said "he never heard of such a thing"

That's all the update I need to hear.

People should be concerned, about BAS's health. I trust he will be fine, but if he's not that's the only risk they have for not getting paid.

I've had worse things made up about me than that. Would be annoying to be called a racist though.

As far as Mob goes, he's obviously got some type of mental health issue. And Loomis hasn't posted here in years so whatever he is complaining about happened a long damn time ago. Maybe check with your therapist (get one if you don't have one) about how you can get over that.
