One of the most amazing and vastly underreported pieces of evidence in this case is the fact that the nearly 14 year-old-boy in from the McQueary episode went on the the record several times (after the story broke locally and then again nationally) to fully support Jerry Sandusky and to say that he was never molested by him.

I'll be honest and non biased. I was surprised to hear of any kind of NCAA sanctions. It's a criminal case. It's not about giving grades or any grade fraud. A criminal case with a guy in his 60's or whatever he is. In what world does that make sense, I am going to punish a 2013 recruit for something that may or may not have happened in the 80's.
The NCAA is a joke. You don't take wins away and give them back. So what has changed? The other Three Blind Mice, the President, AD and VP are going to trial later this year. Why didn't they wait until the trial is over to clear Paterno? Something doesn't smell right. And what's going to happen now, he gets his wins back and his statue will probably be returned next, and they act like nothing ever happened...
Yes, because abused kids never intitally deny and support their abuser. He has since acknowledged he was abused by sandusky and paterno said to grand jury he understood the behavior in the shower to be "extremely sexual". Seriously, a grip kid....joepa protected a rapist and he could have stopped more kids from being raped but didn't.

I could be wrong, but I doubt they would follow through with a lawsuit. The NCAA is a membership organization, although membership is virtually required if you wish to play football. But, a membership organization has the ability to define the offenses and punishments in that organization. The NCAA has the authority and responsibility. There is an anti-trust argument, but I seriously wonder if anybody wants to defend Paterno on the basis of anti-trust laws for hiding a child abuse crime for years. It would take a jury of Penn State alumni to rule against the NCAA in a suit. It seems to me this would be the last thing they would want. They would probably soon this whole thing disappears as quickly as possible.

FACT: Paterno testified McQueary told him he saw Sandusky fondling a young boy in a "sexual nature" after hours in the football locker room showers.
FACT: Paterno knew Sandusky was hanging out with young boys in the football locker room after hours regardless of what the boy says happened today. Sorry, that is just plain wrong. No grown ass man should be solo in the football locker room after hours with a 12 year old boy, punto. Paterno was the head of the football program and godlike on campus. If he wanted Sandusky banned from the football locker rooms tomorrow he could have made it happen. Anything else is bullshit. Are you telling me Saban, Urb or Stoops do not have the power to kick a former assistant out of their football building? I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale if you believe that. FACT: McQueary was only a grad asst at that time in 2001 and was later promoted and given a very lucrative salary several years later. Now, tell me if this makes any sense whatsoever in any organization. Essentially an intern reports to the CEO of the organization he sees a former VP who has access to the company gym fondling a teenage boy in the company's locker room. Now you either believe the intern and ban the former VP from the building forever or you believe your former VP and let the intern go after his time is up, right? Who the fuck keeps the intern and promotes the intern and still allows the VP to use the company locker room? Either the intern is a great and truthful employee the organization wants to keep or he is making a horrible lie against a legendary former employee and you let him go. You do not do both!
And stop with the "they never would have prosecuted Paterno" shit. I agree, they probably would not have but that does not make him a decent human being. Besides, who the fuck ever prosecutes dead people? What good does it do the prosecution to say they would have prosecuted Paterno after he is dead. Nothing.

And don't agree with you at all. A lot of men act as "big brothers" for kids without parents or shaky home life. Take them to fitness centers, gyms, parks all sorts of places. The kid was 12 meaning he was in 7th grade. He's not a young kid at all.
Trust me, I know. What does that have to do with a man engaged with the boy in after-school activities? Happens everyday in America.
I mean, let's say a DI football player befriended a kid with a rough upbringing. He takes the kid to the university and they shoot hoops, lift weights or whatever. Is that considered strange?
