There are pros/cons to coaching in LA. Probably nice that no one gives a shit if you lose but also pretty bizarre situation where you gotta use a silent count at a home playoff game. It is a weird setup compared to every other NFL situation.
Yeah right?

Only big market that actually loses professional teams. And actually to smaller markets. So weird.

The luster was off The Goof after '19-20 when he struggled and Rams had a team ready to win now. Deal was a no brainer. Stafford also played at a very high level in the playoffs and it is presumptuous to think Goff could do that. You compare his '21 play to Goff from '19-20 it isn't close. You think Kupp became the best WR in the NFL precisely after they made that deal and it had nothing to do with a QB upgrade?

I doubt McVay did much arm twisting to get that deal done, that's just some ESPN narrative stuff.

They gave up 2 first round picks, not 12. People act like they gotta file bankruptcy now....Umm nah, they're just in the same boat as 15 other NFL teams, who cares? Their owner is worth 15 billion, he's good. Don't worry so much.
It's not just Stafford. I mean, we can get into the weeds on Stafford vs Goff, but overall, I feel those two parts are interchangeable....certainly not worth TWO firsts and a third.

Also, don't forget the Ramsey trade - TWO firsts (and a fourth) as well.

That's FOUR first round picks for one season of "win now!'. Sounds more like Millennial Madden than team building to me.

You don't need Captain Obvious to tell you why Millennial McVay is jumping off this sinking ship.

If it were that easy, other teams would do it. They were a playoff team the year before that as well. Everyone died and it fell apart this year, that's the NFL. They also lost Whitworth, Miller and OBJ to FA/retirement/injuries.

Tomlin has 2 playoff wins in over a decade. maybe he should convince the org to make some trades?

Stafford played out of his mind in the playoffs last year and Kupp became an elite WR with him. To think Goff could play at that high a level is a pretty big leap. The superbowl ended last year on a Stafford game winning TD drive with his #2 and #3 WRs and TE all out. Yeah he must have sold his soul to get all that done, but you can't take it away from him.

Also 2 late drives in the 4th vs the 9ers, yeah he had an angel with him for Tartt to drop that INT but again, that's football. Game winning FG drive vs Tampa as well as hanging 30 on them.

I don't really care what McVay does with his life, but to say upgrading Goff to Stafford to get over the hump was a bad move is a pretty big leap. They won it all and the guy played great...Knightrofins worrying about dying before the Phins win a playoff game over here and you're hating on a SB win.

With all said i would still love to see a video of Nancy Pelosi going to a Trump appointed judge and telling him/her

"you better not give him a court case or i'll fucking cut you!"

Or her going to a election day volunteer "you better throw that Trump vote in the trash or i'll sneak in your kids window and cut that bitch cunt to brain!"

It's very clear lol

Meaning the majority of people live their life in a bubble and only think and live their normal daily routine

If something surprising happens, they accept it for what it is and just say "oh wow"

But there are always people doing twisted things that others would not imagine they would ever do

The employee stealing from the company and doing it brilliantly

The neighbor who is a great churchgoing guy loved by the community, but is a child predator

The politician who has a great reputation, but was a compulsive gambler

Governments taking ppl out

It goes on and on that's just examples

And people are doing more twisted things than ever now

It means you have to always be thinking outside the box, expect, and be prepared for the unexpected

The phrase conspiracy theory is just an easy out or cop out for most, or they simply aren't bright enough to think deeper

If something suspicious happen, the odds are there's a lot more behind it
Also your examples would involve a small number of people and once again not understanding you point.

People aren't always what they seem? no shit. Public life, personal life, secret life. Not very mysterious.

edit: i did like the politican with secret gambling problem. I see what you did there. ;)

There is a decent chance McVay wins more playoff games in 2021 than Tomlin wins from 2011-2031 combined. That is kinda wild to think about.

Maybe McVay will be Dallas' next head coach instead of Payton
That's what I think.

Jerry loves the swagger along with the glitz and glamor. He will be dreaming of his Super Bowl suite as he woos, pursues and chases Millennial McVay.

I think the last time they won a playoff game was December of 2000? A day or 2 before new years eve.

I dont think i'll be seeing one this sunday either

Hopefully they get another one in my lifetime. With getting the vaccine and according to the RX, i may not make it til sunday

Dude..

2023 Rams NFL Draft:

1st round - TRADED TO LIONS (Matthew Stafford)
2nd round
3rd round
4th round - TRADED TO PATRIOTS (Sony Michel)
5th round - TRADED TO BROWNS (Troy Hill)
6th round
6th round - FROM PACKERS (Corey Bojorquez)
6th round - FROM TITANS (Robert Woods)
7th round

Also, don't forget the Rams reportedly offered four draft picks -- two in 2023 and two in 2024 -- plus Cam Akers in exchange for Christian McCaffrey. LOL

Until maybe 2 years ago. Didn't Pitt fans want Tomlin gone?

I remember many thought he was an idiot even in the beginning...

So? They won't be good for a few years. Who cares? A lot of NFL teams aren't good. And they have no fans anyway.

2024 they will have their picks and then they're back to being like every other NFL team. Big whoop.

You crying for their owner worth 15 billion or something? Trust me, he's good. Doubt he's feeling like an aggrieved party if McVay goes to the booth. You just said he's an overrated coach anyway, so why would the owner or fans care he's leaving? Seems like a nothingburger.

He won the super bowl.

The ram best era was "greatest show on turf" made 2 super bowls won 1.

Under him in less years made 2 super bowls and won 1.

So funny. and this isn't small market baseball. They probably won't be bad for very long anyways.

Hell. They could even make play-offs next season.

It's funny. Fans of teams that just keep making play-offs almost every year--would trade it all for a super bowl.

Wins super bowl---well i wish they would make the play-offs 8 years in a row.

Maybe they get Caleb Williams in the 2024 draft and he's the next Johnny Unitas, maybe they won't get a good team again until 1 of us in this thread is dead (sadly)

NFL is a who knows when predicting 5+ years out but Rams ain't exactly a Packers/Bears/Patriots/Steelers/Cowboys type team with eyeballs constantly on them to where their future is all that interesting.

He could be Johnny U and they still might not win a super bowl his entire career.

Only took Elway what---15 years to win 1.

Marino---never

McNabb----never

Brees---x amount of seasons to win 1

Favre---1

Rodgers---1

Manning---1 (unless you want to count the broken down one in which he was the back up qb for a portion of the season)

Does a fan of any NFL team really care if they dont have a 4th, 5th, or 2 of their 6th round picks in the next draft?

Yeah, it sucks not having your first round pick this year considering its a high draft pick but ask any NFL fan what would they rather have? A super bowl win or a top 10 draft pick 2 years from then.

What are they taking?

I'm waiting for you to tell that the ONLY reason that the rams won last year is b/c the super bowl was in LA

I wonder if Houston Astros fans are still pissed because they won 50 games for so many years.
