Lenbo you jerk, FYI, I had the game in a 6 point teaser, all I said was GB would win and predicted a score. You lost again to me you idiot....

I guess all of the INSIDE INFORMATION made a difference to idiots like you Seattle players.

NFLPUNK-

A PUNK AND A LIAR!!
If you were so confident Green Bay would win by 14 you would have laid the 7.5 or 7. Either way a LOSER. Guess you can give it but can't take it. Nice call Winky. I won't interfere in your thread anymore. Just had to set the PUNK straight.

Geez, winky, you really don't get it, do you? I had Seattle too, but I did it without INSIDE INFO. Whether you won the game or lost is not important, it's the BS that you're spewing that has a lot people pissed off. I mean, even Wayne Root says he has inside info, and some scamdicappers say they even fix games - that's all good. The problem is that if those "game fixers" win three plays in a row, do I start to believe them? Do I not give them hell if their plays hit?

You "inside info" line is so full of sh!t, it's pathetic - especially coming from a guy that calls scamdicappers. Who could you have gotten that info from? Brett Favre? a coach on Seattle?

I mean, even it was a crokked ref that gave you the info, you'ld have to explain why HUGE calls went against Seattle and had to be reversed.

I had a lot of respect for you, but after your attempted sabotaging of Dawgman's thread and your announcement that you "KNOW" Cokin (whoopie) and this INSIDE INFO line, you are someone to be ignored.

I have to agree with Cincy. What type of <inside info> did Winky have that the rest of us didn't have? I too had Sea and had a teaser with GB and Car. It's a good thing that I ignored Winky's post that he liked Sea to win the game.

Winky,

When you first posted this I thought it was a bit of fun. Not giving your reasons has left you in a questionable position, especially as Seattle lost the game.

It seems you have gained a few idiot followers but lost the respect of many.

Who cares if he had inside info or not? Everybody takes this board way too seriously.

Inside info my ass. Give me a break.

Hey Lenbo, weren't you the one touting San Fag by 10 last week as your great (general public)pick?

Nice analysis by NFL4PAY on the game.

I'd like to weigh in on this. A handful here are blasting away at Winky for not releasing his inside information, stating that either there is no such thing or that he didn't have any. There were even comparisons made to sports services that advertise in tis fashion.

Since Winky wasn't attempting to sell anything, the comparison is without merit. What motivation would he have for claiming to have this info? If he were a rookie poster, then perhaps a case could be made that he was trying to impress everyone. But as he is one of the longest term members here, that clearly isn't the case...plus a post of this type was completely out of character for him...indicating to me that he had very well gotten hold of something valuable. Perhaps he is acquainted with someone within one of the organizations that tipped him off on some info and that this info put him strongly on that team's side. If this happened to be the case, I can certainly see why he would be unwilling to share the specific information, as this would constitute a breach of confidence.

To suggest (as many here have done) that it's not possible for one of the Rx contributors to know something others don't is ludicrous. I can tell you that the three biggest bets (at least based on my financial standing at the time) I ever made in my life were based on inside info. One was on a total in an NFL game some years ago, another was in a boxing match, and the third was in a horse race about 35 years ago. In each instance, I tipped off my friends that there was a real edge to be had...but didn't reveal specifically what the info was. They were free to either gamble that I was on the level with the tip or not. I guess it was up to them to consider the source and make their own decision. I can tell you this...to simply dismiss the info by thinking that no one else could possibly know something I don't myself...is shortsighted and actually rather egomaniacal.

And by the way...losing SU with a dog of more than a TD that got to OT is not bad. I'd be more than happy to accept that situation on a regular basis and take my chances in the extra session!

Salty- There's a HUGE difference in getting inside info on sports that are easily fixed such as boxing and horse racing compared to an NFL playoff game.

I waited until after the game to see if there was some info that came out during the game that the general public did not know about early that Winky may have had access to. There was no such info. Winky's inside info was BS.

salty makes some good points....and i don`t think winky deserves to get skewered the way he is.....

i actually was given bad info on texas tech`s qb not playing vs texas....but,i revealed my source and what was passed on...i`d have never posted it if i couldn`t let guys decide for themselves...as it turned out it was never totally verified as good info and i posted that....

but, whether you`ve been here for a day,or 10 years,it`s stupid to throw vague, shadowy information out there without some frame of reference......it sets a dangerous precedent in the forum....

you`ll get every glory hound throwing wild claims out there figuring that if they hit, they gain some reputation....if they lose, what`s the difference...nobody gave a damn in the first place anyway....

and all the while, some of the less experienced on the board might get burned....badly...

that`s all i`m saying.....

the check`s in the mail........i`ll pay you next week.......i promise not to c-me in your mouth(excuse the expression)......

it`s all b.s....imo.....

i don`t think the bashing is warranted...and as i`ve said,i`ve been around for awhile and so has winky....he`s a good guy....

but it`s understandable to be skeptical about this type of stuff....and healthier for your bank account....

i think winky would agree with that...

whatever....again,nice call

Raider...the info he got may have pertained to game planning. Seattle did go away from their offensive tendencies in this game, particularly on first down. (In fact, the broadcasters pointed this out.)

Inside info doesn't have to mean there's something underhanded going on...it's just an edge.

It's interesting that you immediately assumed that on the bets I mentioned that I had apparently gotten access to what amounts to "fix" info. That wasn't ever the case. I have never had any prior knowledge of anything such as this...guess I don't know the right people for that stuff. All three instances still involved risk...they weren't sure things...but I felt the info I had in these cases was sufficient to take a very large monetary risk.
