Football is about matchups, thats what people on this board dont understand, offense vs defense. The inside info thing by this Winky is BS or he would say what it is. Frankly, it doesnt matter what that puts says.
The bottom line is that Seattle has had trouble stopping the run all season. Last week they did a good job of stopping Kevan Barlow because the had 8 in the box on most running situations. They were able to do this because they played man on man on the outside and didnt need the safety help because Terrell Owens didnt play and they simply were not afraid of Brandon Lloyd, Tai Streets and Cedric Wilson. I knew they would do this and I went against everyone on this board last week and picked Seattle.
However, they cannot play 8 man fronts against GB because the Packers have Bubba Franks, Robert Ferguson, Donald Driver, Jevon Walker and Wesley Walls. Too many receivers who are capable of making plays downfield. Seattle will not stop Ahman Green with a base defense, and if they then try to put 8 in the box then Favre will have a field day against one on one coverage on the outside or with Franks or Walls being covered by linebackers one on one down the middle of the field.....it will be too easy.
On the other side of the ball Seattle may be able to do some good things also on offense. GB does not have a very good defense and I am sure you will see a good balance of Shawn Alexander and the passing game with many 3 and 4 WR sets to take advantage of GB's lack of quality depth at corner.
The homefield is a big advantage plus the playoff inexperiece of Seattle will be too much for the Seahawks to overcome. I think they will be outscored in this game. Also, the game may mean something to Holmgren coming back to GB but not his players, I think they will be happy with making the playoffs, not advancing.
Finally, if this Windydink character, who I have seen stupid posts like this before has so called inside info then let him bet with it because it wont make a difference....
Hey Winkydink is there a bratwurst shortage in the GB area for the tailgaters? That is probably your inside info.
GB 34 Seattle 20
