This is the kind of info we come here for, and to get it from someone respectable is a bonus. I don't care where he got it, I used it, it helped me and I appreciate it. What IS the problem?

I dont know what the info was and I knew it didnt make it a lock, but I seriously doubt Winky is going to pull some shit on everyone here. Thanks for the headsup.

nice to see i helped stir up some interest at this site.

too many reponses to reply to all here.

i will say that while i used to work at espn - i left in 1991 and the only people i know there have ZERO ties to the nfl telecasts - NONE!

i know i have been one to bust touts here for saying what i did - and that did make me very skittish to post what i did. i know i was not the only one to like seattle here - so it's not like i am alone in rejoicing on how the game ended - ATS wise.

for those who want me to come forward and post here what i knew - and who i found it out from sorry - NO WAY i will EVER do that - EVER!

IF i were to do that - NUMEROUS bad things would happen:

my source not only would dry up - but possibly get in a TON of trouble - and probably lose their job - and NONE of this is something i want to see happen.

look - i would LOVE to tell all - but i really can't - and i hope you understand.

the fact is we (seattle bettors) got the cover - and really that is the ONLY thing that is important. how we got there - who cares - we got there - and that is all that matters.

as i said in the very beginning - when it comes to "inside info" the only other time i have stated i have some - or could get some - was at the csuf hoops booster meetings when the coach of the team told us EXACTLY what the game plan was. other then that - i have NEVER claimed "inside info" and odds are - i NEVER will again on anything outside csuf hoops.

for the record - there is ONE person who posts here who knows what the info was - and they were told because they 100% PROMISED they would never say (and you can guess all you want - you not only will never guess right - but i will never say, too).

this is the LAST reply to this thread from me - so anyone else got something to say or ask - fire away - but unless you send me an e-mail - that's it.

glad to be a lightning rod here

Winky- Who am I?

The homefield is a big advantage plus the playoff inexperiece of Seattle will be too much for the Seahawks to overcome. I think they will be outscored in this game. Also, the game may mean something to Holmgren coming back to GB but not his players, I think they will be happy with making the playoffs, not advancing.

Finally, if this Windydink character, who I have seen stupid posts like this before has so called inside info then let him bet with it because it wont make a difference....

Hey Winkydink is there a bratwurst shortage in the GB area for the tailgaters? That is probably your inside info.

GB 34 Seattle 20

I loved this game so much I only teased the Packers, and to prove it I showed all my teaser bets but not my Green Bay straight LOSER bet.

Bottom line: Whatever the info was, it was pretty accurate because Seattle was NEVER in danger of not covering this game. I'm a huge GB fan who bet Seattle and I was ALOT more concerned about the Packers getting the win than the Seahawks getting the cover. Congrats to all who had Seattle - now its on to next week...

I have looked at Winky's posts here for about a year..and have ALWAYS found him to be a creditable poster and guy..and I do NOT even know him...But I consider his opinion and info always to be creditable and honest to the very best of his ability.

To think or even consider that he made this announcement for attention is ludicrous..I truly believe he found ourt something and wanted to share his info with all of us to HELP us make $$$$$...why would anyone think different unless they are just bored and looking to bust someones chops...and if you will read his initial info I believe he said he was going to hedge his bet by also taking the points as well as the moneyline and that they might not win (I read the original post way way last week when he first put it up)

I BET ON SEATTLE AND WON!!! AS WELL AS ALOT OF POSTERS HERE BASED ALOT ON HIS POST!!! And he was "right on"...I Love a 7 1/2 dog that takes the fav into overtime...gotta love having a winner regardless of how the game finally turns out...

And if anyone would have listened to the broadcasters, they did mention that Holmgren had had a conversation with the refs prior to the game about GB defensive backs and how they played and the refs agreeed to treat things equal and differently...

So, with all this said, Winky, if you read this I would like to thank you for your posts and info on the Seattle game and win or lose will always value any info you provide..
