If this dispute were with theonlinebet (or any other book that isn't "rumored" to share ownership with this forum), then all the little bashing Rio-ites would be singing a totally different tune - the book would then be crucified instead of the poster by Rio's shills, oops, I mean the modsquad...

If Rio produces a tape in which I was even a little unprofessional and/or treated any clerk with any disrespect I'll donate $500 to the RX for operating costs. Maybe RIO and myself put up $500 or $1,000 each in escrow then have Shrink or another moderator listen to the tapes- if they can show anything that I mistreated anyone my share goes to RX- if the tape shows I didn't mistreat anyone RIO donates the $$ to the RX. So don't ever say I disrespected anyone "unless asking when my 10% is going to be added to my account" is mistreating an employee. Or perhaps saying "good morning" when it was actually past noon could be mistreating an employee- give me a break- grow some balls MVB- keep ur ass shut (I mean ur mouth).

You are quick judging people!Just because Rio is a great book to you doesn't mean this guy doesn't have a legitimate beef! We're talking principle not$$. They're are rude and obnoxious clerks in most offshore books! Hell they don't make much money so they don't draw the brightest people!! There are alot of great customer service people though! Could've been a mix up on the clerks answers, they'll get to the bottom of this without you bashing this guy! Give him a break, EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THERE OWN OPINION!

Take my $47 and sign up for a reading class- it doesn't matter if it's $47 or $4,000 we need to hold books accountable- WHERE's RIO TODAY???????? No response, maybe checking tapes or at lunch or gone for the day- I'll bet anyone here that after they told me the GM was at lunch- if I hung up and called back as someone else and said I wanted to depoosit $25,000- and wanted to speak with the GM- he would've been back from lunch- You guys need to read the post.

It is amazing how if someone complains about a sponsoring book everyone jumps on them for either crying or having some agenda.

Rio's policy was unclear by their own admission. Give the man his frigging $47 and be done with it. If the clerk mentioned 10% bonus and prepaid atm on the phone call that is clearly misleading.

They stopped honouring the 15% Bonus Play referral bonus quite a few weeks ago, in favour of free tickets to some Big League games.

The only problem is, they neglected to remove the 15% offer from their 3 websites (Rio, SkyBook, IIS) until the last couple of weeks (with Rio being the last of their sites to remove it). I think all 3 sites are up-to-date now, as far as offering the proper referral bonuses.

People seem not to understand. Running all these contests does not cost these guys a cent!

If it did... they simply would not run the contests! Period!

Doing all these supposed good deeds and then admitting to misleading customers is wrong. More wrong to admit you are misleading customers and then look for an excuse not to do anything about it.

Maybe should spend a little time cleaning up the rules on the website and a little less time making excuses!
