1-0 with Investment play tonight..and 4-2 with action plays..

Looks like buying the Jazz bets back, is gonna bite me in the ass, as both are on pace to cover..would of been nice to stick with my guns, and gone for a possible 6-2 night on action plays..but my IP hit and AP stayed above .500, so all in all a good night..be back tomorrow..

I know what you mean, 2nd quarter in PHO game totalled 70 points, nobody was playing defense, not even any effort on that side of the ball..

Thought it was a legitimate cause for concern..bought my bet back during the half, when I saw the opportunity, and right after, we see a 64 point 3rd quarter..I felt like that was a pat on the back for my buy back..and then the 4th quarter came around..and well, that felt more like a kick in the nuts...

Had I played everything on my original card, and hit that middle that barely missed, I would've ended up 8-2 last night with the Pacers +10...4-2 is still good though..especially considering that my Investment play hit..

I do what I do on my part, I cap the games, break em down, see where there is an edge, then I make my moves accordingly..however, one of my capping methods deals with line movement..when that doesn't correspond with my play it tends to make me a bit nervous, and hence the buy back..sometimes it'll cost me, sometimes it'll save me..I'd like to think that over the long run, it has saved me more times than it has cost me..:toast:

Never really been a fan of systems, prefer to cap games the good old fashioned way..

It's funner for me too..did have an insurance type of system, that I developed a few years back, where I used a combo of NFL and NHL games, in parlays to eliminate the possibility of losing money on NFL action on Sundays..it was either WIN or break even on Sunday..actually a little more complicated, as their were 3 different levels you could win on, but that was the gist of it...worked out quite nicely, but it was very time consuming, so decided to leave it on the shelf, and until the day comes where I accumulate enough money to invest and make the time worth it, Ill probably leave it that way..Now I prefer the X's and O's of capping games with as much attention to detail as possible..funner that way, imo, and very effective, considering the drastic dip in time spent..guessing ur system is computer based? and founded on some sort of statistical analysis? maybe im wrong, just guessing..

Should have played nix under last nite lol. NHL system is fast and easy and save lot of time capping, and I don't have much time. It is based on where the money is going basically. Gators got it done last nite!

1/09 Action Plays:

Orlando/Atlanta over 192

Hawks/Magic's recent game went well over this total, even with Atlanta playing flat footed on offense in the 1st half. Simply too many offensive weapons here, for both teams, for me not to take the over again. Turkoglu cannot be stopped, neither can Howard, Atl has no answer for these two. 3pt shooters for the Magic coming into the game hot, and will get their fair share of points. Expecting ATL to come out with more energy than they did in their previous matchup and try to run more, and create on offense. Joe Johnson presents a mismatch for Rashard Lewis, as Lewis simply cannot guard him and I expect the Hawks to utilize the mismatch in this game. Really feel like this number should've adjusted 4-6 points after the last game. For two teams who love to shoot the 3-ball, and possess a variety of offensive weapons that can score from anywhere on the floor, I feel comfortable playing the over in what I think is a low number..might upgrade this to Investment before tip-off..

Boston/Cleveland under 184

This total is just a few points too low for me to make it an investment play. However, this matchup, has defense written all over it. If the game, is half as grindy, as last years playoff series the game will stay well under the posted total. The #1 defense vs the #2 defense, and the Celtics talking about wanting to get their defensive swagger back? I'll take the under here.

Orlando Magic -5

Magic thoroughly dominated the last matchup, both offensively and defensively. Had it not been for a 4th quarter where the Magic went cold shooting the ball, and the Hawks could not miss a shot, the Magic could've/should've easily blown the Hawks out on their home floor..The final score did not tell the tale of the game, as it looked to be closer than what it was..Taking a chance, with what is a high number, to cover. But the Magic, are the better team by far, imo, and playing at home, where they have been unstoppable all season, only helps the cause..

Toronto Raptors -5

Grizzlies too terrible of a road team for me to pass this up. Feel like Raptors will come out, score early and often, and control this game throughout the better part of it.
