A nice win with the Hawks today..even nicer, in light of the fact that my money almost went down the drain with Washington..Only wish, I had also bet the Under 198.5 for the game..It was the better of the two plays, imo, even though both won..Still, 1-0, and profitable night with the heavy action play cashing, so no complaints..

I've decided that I will, keep a weekly tab on my plays, for the time being, both in terms of units won, and Wins and Loses. This way, I keep myself motivated to continue to add, to the profits this season..This week's tally, will start with today's play, and continue through and up until this Sunday..My advice is, for anyone following, to adjust your bets to better suit your bankroll situation..Betting at your level is extremely important..in fact, I'd go as far as saying, that betting at your level, it is the #1 rule when betting on sports, and a rule that should never be broken under any circumstance..The amount of units I am up by the end of the week, is not important to me..What IS important to me, is that by the end of the week there is a + and not a - in front of the unit tally..That is all that matters, to me..Tonight's play was for 4 units..I think and hope that this will be fun for me, and for anyone viewing..

MrN need to ask an important question. Last night you went from Wash to taking Atlanta. Now I'm assuming it was an action play. Today your saying that its a 4 unit play. So just to get a read on the strenght of your plays,(based on the units assigned), are all the action plays 4 units?

Crazy, that is a good question. Before I answer it, however, I'd like to take the time and mention why I have not included a Unit tally to this point. I was afraid that by introducing a +/- Units record, I would influence the amount of money placed on a given game, by anyone following. Something I am not interested in doing. Which only means, that I am now placing my faith, in each person's ability to adjust their bet size to what suits them best, in terms of what their bankrolls are. Once again, betting at your level is extremely important. We are all grown, and mature people, who should be able to understand the significance of betting with appropriate amounts of money. At least, I hope this to be the case..

Now, to answer your question, Action Plays will generally range between 1.5 - 3 units..Yesterday's, bet on the Hawks, was bet as a "heavy action play" and so 4 units were wagered..Investment plays, as you know are heavy hitters..The smallest Investment play I have made this year, was for 10 units..Only one Investment play I made this year, was for that amount..my largest Investment Play on the other hand, was for 30 units, and only 2 Investment plays this year, were played for that amount..On average, the Investment plays have been for about 15-20 units..However I do not, feel comfortable posting that big of a unit size, for someone to follow..And so for posting purposes, Investment Plays, will all be posted for 7 units, regardless off what I bet them for..I think this will help me sleep easier at night, for obvious reasons. Small plays are 1 unit..On occasion, I will bet a Small Play for .5 units, but its rare, and I have only made two .5 unit bets, this year..Again use proper money management, and bet on your level! Hope this helps..To recap, here are the Units I will be using for posting purposes..It is worth noting that I may bet 3.5 - 4 units, on occasion as a "heavy action play", if the circumstances are compelling..

Small Plays: .5 units - 1 unit

Action Plays: 1.5 units - 3 units

Investment Plays: 7 units

No real opinion there, both teams garbage. You have a 5-24 team on the road playing against an 8-22 home team. One is on 3 game losing streak, the other is on a 6 game losing streak. Both terrible defensively, and undisciplined. Throw in the fact, that one team is missing their center for the year, and the other is making coaching decisions to bench key players, and you have too many thing going on in one game, imo. Not very interested in this game, as a bettor, or a fan.

Wow somehow I never got the opportunity to see your thread until now, just read through all 30 pages. Great job on your picks, as a play poster my self I should mention for everyone that is ragging on NumberZ, just don't play the picks where the line is off. With such a large base success rate even only taking plays where the line doesn't move you would have to be up.

Oklahoma City Thunder -4.5 (4)

Not sure, I understand the love for the Washington Wizards in tonight's game..even if OKC is playing shorthanded, I will gladly fade a terrible Wizards team playing on the road, where they are 4-24 this season..Wizards also might be without Butler, which would only help, and worsen their chances to upset..A small number to be working with, imo..Heavy action play..

Boston Celtics -7.5 (1)

Lot of points to be laying on the road, I know, but Nets look banged up right now, and also playing b2b..Harris dealing with asthma, Vince Carter dealing with elbow problems etc..I expect K. Perkins to keep Net's center, B. Lopez in check tonight, and like the back court matchup in this one, with Rondo leading the charge..

Dallas Mavericks -3 (1.5)

Both teams playing 3 in 4, but Spurs more likey to be affected, being the older team, imo..Mavs playing at home where they have been unstoppable lately, SU and ATS..Hoping Howard will play in this one..Throw in the revenge angle for Mavs, and coming off an embarrassing loss to the Thunder along with Cuban's bitching out the team, as a motivation factor, and it warrants a small action play on my part..
