A break even kind of night over all yesterday, 5-5. So no harm, no foul. Had fun betting all those games, even if, a few of them lost, in very disappointing fashion. Needless to say, you will not see me bet that many games often, but once in a great while, is ok. Just a hair away from a 7-3 night, but no sense in crying over spilled milk, so I'll take the 5-5 night and move on.
On another note, as the season progresses, it becomes increasingly obvious that the lines continue to tighten up. Not just in the NBA, but in all sports for that matter. In the NFL, for example, during Weeks 13-17, value slowly starts to disappear from the lines, the MLB is no different, as you see heavier and heavier Money Line favorites as the season goes on, with tighter totals as well. The story is the same for all sports, and the NBA, is by no means, an exception to this pattern. Teams have formed their identities as squads, and have more or less given the oddsmakers, enough indication of what types of games, you can expect them to play in. It is a truth, that should not be avoided. The oddsmakers have the edge over the bettor, in the later parts of a season, Both in terms, of having an increased amount of statistics to base a line on, as well as being able to more accurately anticipate, public betting tendencies. The early//middle parts of a season, is where you find the greatest probability for success, imo. Before, the oddsmakers "catch up", so to speak, with the tendencies of certain teams to play certain ways, under certain circumstances, and adjust their lines accordingly. All this does, however, is present us with a challenge. An opportunity to readjust our method of approach, much in the same way that they have. Oddsmakers, strive for perfection, and pay much attention to detail, all for the sake of increased profits. And so must we, the bettors, if we hope to do the same for our bankrolls :drink:
Continued success to all those already up big on the year, and best of luck to those trying to get back into the black :toast:
