A very tough loss. What else can I say..

This one felt like a kick in the nuts the way it happened.

Unfortunately, there will always be games like this..

You gotta believe you will bounce back.

Ouch, that one hurt. FREAKIN BLAKE TRIED TO MISS IT AND HE MADE THE FT. Freakin sucks. You'll get it back tomorrow.

Sucks that it came down to it, considering that the Rockets led for the whole game, after the first few minutes of the 1st quarter. A 17 pt lead at half time, 10 pt lead at the end of the 3rd, only to lose the -4.5, by the hook, on a garbage foul by artest with 3.7 left in the game, when the Rockets had a 6 pt lead. Tough luck, on what was a brutal loss..Hate to see a big play lose like this..

A break even kind of night over all yesterday, 5-5. So no harm, no foul. Had fun betting all those games, even if, a few of them lost, in very disappointing fashion. Needless to say, you will not see me bet that many games often, but once in a great while, is ok. Just a hair away from a 7-3 night, but no sense in crying over spilled milk, so I'll take the 5-5 night and move on.

On another note, as the season progresses, it becomes increasingly obvious that the lines continue to tighten up. Not just in the NBA, but in all sports for that matter. In the NFL, for example, during Weeks 13-17, value slowly starts to disappear from the lines, the MLB is no different, as you see heavier and heavier Money Line favorites as the season goes on, with tighter totals as well. The story is the same for all sports, and the NBA, is by no means, an exception to this pattern. Teams have formed their identities as squads, and have more or less given the oddsmakers, enough indication of what types of games, you can expect them to play in. It is a truth, that should not be avoided. The oddsmakers have the edge over the bettor, in the later parts of a season, Both in terms, of having an increased amount of statistics to base a line on, as well as being able to more accurately anticipate, public betting tendencies. The early//middle parts of a season, is where you find the greatest probability for success, imo. Before, the oddsmakers "catch up", so to speak, with the tendencies of certain teams to play certain ways, under certain circumstances, and adjust their lines accordingly. All this does, however, is present us with a challenge. An opportunity to readjust our method of approach, much in the same way that they have. Oddsmakers, strive for perfection, and pay much attention to detail, all for the sake of increased profits. And so must we, the bettors, if we hope to do the same for our bankrolls :drink:

Continued success to all those already up big on the year, and best of luck to those trying to get back into the black :toast:

Crazy, during my short time here at therx, I have realized, that there are advantages and disadvantages to posting picks in a season long thread, also advantages, and disadvantages, to posting picks in a day-to-day thread...not sure what would suit me better to be honest..but, I would like to make it as convenient as possible for others, and so if there are enough people who would prefer I post picks, in a new thread each day, let your voices be heard, and I'll do it that way, from the beginning of next season..

i personally think it's much easier to post picks in a new thread each day with the date in the topic. Keep up the great work NumberZ!

Honestly it really doesn't matter because as long as you get the picks out everyone can see what day it's for in your post.

Really whatever accommodates you best is what you should do.

Either way is fine imo :toast:

I personally find it easier to post daily threads. Either way you go is up to you MR.N
I just love reading your insights and you taught me alot this year. One small change you may want to consider though is to place your "Investment plays" also in the Rx tracking forum. I did that with my finalized system so that its nice and neat for all to go through.
Good luck mate

I like the current method because it is easier to subscribe to a thread than search for a new posting each day. Thanks numberz.

What are the advantages to posting in the tracker forum, besides less clutter, etc.?
