The finals doesn't start until July 8th

I've seen some conflicting stuff out there concerning the dates for the Finals. I've seen a July 8th start as well. But then I've also seen some references to the dates TBD at the end of both conference finals series.

What if both teams swept? Would they seriously wait over a week to start the Finals? If so, that's kinda lame.
