If you had guts you would have counter argued right after the post was made, not waiting till Paul and the Suns had a great shooting night

Meh, as Ricky Watters would say for what? for who?

If I said 2 days ago "Well no SD because XYZ and if CP were to get hurt the line would move significantly in the other teams favor because he is 1 of the Suns best players" Would you really care? And it is such an obvious statement that it doesn't even need to be said.

Anyway, GL. I don't even like the Suns.

I had the Clippers to win the West which got submarined by Kawhi dying and I would've hedged had that game 2 George/Ayton sequence fiasco not happened.

To be honest, I don’t think the CP3 Suns are much better than the CP3-less Suns.

Then you haven’t watched very many Suns games this entire season. And/or don’t understand the intricacies of the game too well.

What Paul has brought to this team has been amazing. A couple bad games with a bum shoulder, then a couple more coming off Covid should be throw outs when looking at the big picture of how valuable he’s been this season to PHX.

If you take a top 20 player off a 50 win team, they're going to be much worse. That's almost pretty much universally true.

The Suns have a good backup but it is easy to have a good start or two, try doing it when the other team has seen you play 38 minutes a game over 2 weeks. He's a backup for a reason.

And Booker would have to do way more playmaking without CP which would really hurt his efficiency (the only other offense creator they have)

Not to mention all the intangibles he brings like experience, leadership, motivation, poise, coach on the floor which is immensely valuable to a young team.

This is a bizarre discussion to me but to each their own.

Bingo. ?

Theres no shot in hell Chris Paul is currently a top 20 player in the league

Think he is most valuable for his intangibles, poise, experience, etc. and that helped a young team out. And like I said, they are better with him. But he is not a world changer. They would’ve been worse off in this series without Booker

But top 20? No shot

Ok just curious, where is he ranked for the 2020-2021 season? And intangibles like leadership and getting young players to reach their full potential absolutely should be baked into the cake of the intrinsic value of a player. Hard to quantify obviously but guys like Ayton/Bridges have taken their games to the next level thanks to CP. Does Crowder even sign there for the midlevel if CP isn't there? Probably not given the bubble he was coming off of, sure he wanted to go to a team he thought that could contend.

Either way, he's a massive net positive for the Suns and every advanced stat bares this out.

(Fwiw I just ran through the standings in 20 seconds and I had him in the 25 range and that was being very liberal giving him almost no close ones) If you think he isn't that good then fair enough.

I think he is mid 30’s if you give him the nod is a few close ones. It’s that intrinsic value that gets him that high. he’s just not that talented anymore man. Like he’s fucking 36 who is basically a midget NBA-wise — 35th-ish isn’t bad at allZ There are a lot of good players in the league right now.

He was the best player on the court tonight but majority of the games that he’s been involved in these playoffs he’s been pretty underwhelming. I will cut him some slack for the shoulder though.

Like I said, he made the team better overall this year. But this is still a solid playoff team without him — and being just a healthy, solid playoff team is good enough to win an NBA championship this season.

Where's that pre-playoffs thread where I said CP3 was locked in this year and ready to finally take a team to the Finals? And then Avocado took shots at Paul and said no way because he's a playoff choker.

Find that thread for me Avacado and bump it. I'm too lazy to find it. ;)

Avocado doesn't seem interested anymore.

Maybe cuz CP3 and Book are making him eat some shit?

I'm surprised railbird isn't a Suns fan. Not a lot of tattoos on that team. I know he hates tattoos...

Finally we get the long overdue Chris Paul choke!!!!

At least it’s a long series now, though I like Phoenix still

That was an unbelievable showing for the Bucks.

For 2.5 quarters I don't think they missed a shot. Seemed like it. Contested shots too. They earned this one.

Holiday won that game in the 1st half. He was money.

Ayton? That was the quietest 20 points ever. He seemed non existent. He's been AWOL for the 3 Suns losses.
