Of course it is a part of the game, but I have never seen anything like this year.

And the East didn’t have it because LeBron James played in the east. And those Cavs teams would’ve probably demolished any of these teams

Only benefit of this is we see some smaller markets get some love

The East teams weren't very good, most of those years I'd say the other top 4-5 teams in the league played in the West. Which is a big reason LeBron is so polarizing, because he had a ton of series that he was absolutely 100% supposed to win and a ton of series where he was kinda drawing pretty slim, thus despite the fact he played forever he was in very few competitive series in his career since going to Miami.

ehh dunno about that....I'd like LAC if Kawhi was healthy but he isn't

I like Bucks chances now that they got by KD

One thing I will say for the next rd though is I think Giannis is gonna be able to be on Simmons like he was on Butler and potentially fuck the Sixers (if they win) offense up pretty bad

Yeah I would say Clippers with a healthy Kawhi, though they actually looked better down the stretch of games without him

Ben Simmons is gonna play like shit regardless. The fact that Philly hasn’t traded his ass is kind boggling to me.

Yeah but if Giannis is on him, he can go under on all the screens and just play free safety. He did that vs Miami on Butler and Butler is way better than Simmons offensively. That seems like it will muck up a ton. Also, D Green's D on Jrue/Middleton would be big in that series and he's probably out for most of it.

I like flawed but unique players like Simmons in general, but if you can't shoot at all your just in the wrong era unless you can just beast people like Giannis.

This CP covid thing is pretty hilarious though, if he really has to sit for 2 games that seems insane.

Bucks seem like a terrible matchup for Philly as I drill it down in general

He had a fair amount of series where he was a decent to slim underdog (2018 Toronto and Boston come to mind). I’m sure there are others, but in general you are right

i should add that when I say those past Cavs teams would demolish these teams, the 2018 Cavs would’ve at least struggled a bit. That was a dogshit team but with arguably the best version of Lebron ever

Bucks are crap. They just got lucky that the Nets' stupid coach decided to play 4 on 5 basketball for the last 3 games.

Bucks in the final would be very similar to Bucks vs Miami last year. They would get murdered by the 3 point shooting and wont be able to keep up

Lol obviously Harden should've been out there, they would've got killed without his presence. Even him at 50%, line moves 4pts for a reason and it is because the alternative is ugly. His value over replacement in this case is not small. You just didn't get to see the alternative (besides 2nd half of gm 4 when they got killed)

Even if his limitations are glaring, he's still doing stuff that his backups would have 0 chance of doing. Drawing FT's, making passes, primary ball handling responsibilities, the gravitational pull of his presence on the court.

Their bench scored 0 pts tonight lol, this is not a deep team

There do seem to be more factors pointing to Milwaukee, but Embiid should be able to cook and Philly has some depth guarding the perimeter. We'll see about that series.

All 3 teams left in the East are pretty fucking flawed though. Brooklyn advances with a healthy squad, which makes it disappointing to some degree. But that's the game I guess

CP3 shouldn't have to sit if LeBron didnt, and I'm a huge LeBron supporter

Bucks won't have to face a team like last year's Lakers though. It's going to be competitive the rest of the way most likely, just not high quality at all

We'll see I guess, I hope philly wins tmrw. Don't really wanna see Hawks in the conf finals, cool story and all but nah

That is a better series for Lopez because Sixers don't run a lot of high screen roll to get him moving like the Nets were doing with KD (and Kyrie before he died), he actually held up better as the series went on. He's a big body that can just bang with Embiid.

Also, Embiid torn meniscus is a rough injury. Some nights he just isn't gonna have it, especially for the full game. Gm 1 is Tuesday fwiw.

Tucker should be able to defend Harris pretty well too

How can you not cheer for this Suns team? Dynamic. They actually play defense. Fun team to watch.

Now go ATL!

Hope the Hawks can pull this one out

Even if Philly wins this, what an embarrassing showing from them.

Clips hanging tough. They have a realistic chance to steal one here. Especially with Booker bleeding from the nose after that head butt.

PHX really needs CP3 back. Cam Payne is playing great filling in, but having Payne come off the bench just adds some serious playmaking firepower to the 2nd team.

The finals doesn't start until July 8th, so if the Suns swept they would have like 2 weeks rest, that's insane. Maybe refs hook ESPN up.
