Knew this one was a loser when I put it in. Just had a feeling. I am sure Vin will be on the boys again tomorrow. Probably a good chance we lose again. Team above 500 that can hit will pound the shit out of our boys most times I reckon. Tonight's call was the ovah grovah - two team that have seenthe opposing pitcher in the last week.... well, hindsight is 20/20.

Thanks winners. Vin swears the home plate umpire had money on the Rockies last night. Did you see some of those calls he whined.

There were a few but it didn't make a difference said I. We got thumped.

Well we gotta win sometime, he sighed. Big man today. Here's pitching well and they didn't see him last week. Colorado tend to do better with the fastball pitchers so he should have success and get us to the bullpen .

Gray is a fly under the radar pitcher.
Hard thrower who gets a lot of ground balls.
Over a K per inning.
Let's hope CC has another good one in him.

Wow. Hope you enjoyed the game Len. I imagine the little Yankee boy was going nuts. I didn't get to watch the game but was following on the Internet at the office. Stared off great but then CC git roughed up and it looked like it was over. Thank fuck Colorado's bullpen is crap. And our young guys pitched some good innings. And Chase Fucking Headley with a walk off homer to win it! Get in!

Day off tomorrow (2 in one week???) and the Twinks Friday night for a three-gamer.

Then Texas brings the pain for a four game set Monday.

We better get those wins while we can!

Tanaka on enough rest for a grizzly bear in the winter and the big three at his back versus a gas can called Milone with an arson squad (130 runs allowed - the worst in baseball) backing him up. Do you really have to ask, said Vin when I spoke to him.

Yanks, hopefully big. Hate laying this much juice but it's no problem as long as you win right? (Gulp)

The over 8 looked good with 7 runs after 4 innings. Turds forgot to score after that

good call

Thanks guys. I thought about taking the run line on this one but decided to risk the juice. Glad we pulled out he 2-run victory for anyone on -1.5. I was thinking the same thing about the over Stevie but we got a good illustration of why baseball is such a maddening game. Well on to today!

Stop. Homertime.

We own the twins, Vin says. We own them. And hopefully big Tex's time on the DL will bring his bat back. Sometimes some time off makes all the difference. And it's a perfect day for the slider! Papa Midnite will get us to the 7th and then Done BMC will seal the deal. Yanks win again!

Note: this bet gives me gas. Juicier than Hi-C and Santana pitched a great game against us last week and I think Pineda sucks. He'll do well for a while then have a complete melt down and the other team will have a huge inning. Or he'll start out with the melt down. And the Twins have been swinging the bats better. But, what the hell do I know. Come on Yankees..... I just hope that big slider-throwing bastard doesn't have a huge brain fart like he always does....

I hope Joe gets creative and finds ways to get Refsnyder's bat in the lineup with Tex back.
Going to be tough for a guy with a bat and no real position.

A win is a win and they all count the same but let me say this - we are playing hands down the worst team in baseball and these games have been absolute dogfights. And big Tex still can't hit. Thank God the Twins shortstop puts butter on his glove before the game. Enjoy the rest of the games everyone! Robo versus Duffy tomorrow. The Twins have hit Eovaldi pretty well - they like fastballs and while Duffy has a hogh ERA none of our bats have ever seen him. Vin is on a homer binge before the Texas series but I think the Twins might have a shot tomorrow. We'll see what the little Yankee boy thinks.

I wish he'd show some balls and bench Tex for a game and play Ref. Then maybe Tex would remember how to hit!

Vins on the over today. They're fastball hitters says he. And their guy suvks so we should rough him up too. No Done BMC today so we should see some runs.

Well, for an over to hit more times than not, both teams need to score. I know what happened today. Instead of picking the worst team in baseball to beat his his team, Vin went with a total. He almost never plays totals. Ah well, a winning week (just barely with all that juice we lost Monday) but keeping our heads above water to fight another day. GL the rest of the day if you play!

A soft spot in the schedule for the next couple of series could point the ship in the right direction , but then again those teams could be saying the same about the Yanks.

Well the Yanks end up the soft part of the schedule 11-7 with an absolute head scratcher today.
Not a bad time to play Texas with some injuries to their rotation but not too optimistic.
Like Parcells used to say. " You are what your record says you are".
And it seems they are just that . A .500 team with no consistency.

Len - agree %100. Vin is on the Rangers tonight, despite them calling up a pitcher from the minors. "I don't care if they put a donkey on the mound," says Vin. It's tough to win ballgames scoring 2-3 runs. That won't work with this Texas team, who will get hits and will score.

LOL, calling this one early. Charlie Brown wants this game and is running the dogs. Rangers down by two so I'm tearing upo my ticket.

Betting on a team this inconsistent on a consistent basis must be the definition of insanity. I really feel like I'm watching the No Fun League sometimes.... Well, as they say - who's more foolish? The fool (Vin) or the fool who follows him (me)? Looks like the "sharps" get to count their money tonight!

Big Man against the mighty Hamels tomorrow....

I've read the recap several times and I'm still in disbelief. Latest game ever at the new stadium after a 3:35 rain delay in the ninth inning. In the ninth inning. Unbelievable.

My jaw hit the floor when Vin declared the Big Man would get another W tonight.

You did read the papers i asked. (He always reads the goddamn papers.)

You know he's facing Hamels tonight (not just any lefty but a Lefty that has been really dominant of late) and what's more the Texas offense can actually hit and score runs on a consistent basis. We knocked around a guy that just came up from there minors last night.

We have hit Hamels pretty well and have seen a lot of him says Vin.

The Rangers have a pretty good history with CC too said I.

But that was the old Cc says Vin. He's changed his game and pitches. You'll see tonight.

What about the rolled ankle?

The man says he's fine. I believe him. Besides, nothing makes you want to swing a bat more than getting jobbed out of something that should have been yours. ARod has watched the last two from the dugout but he gets a chance to show management they're wrong tonight. A lot of guys with a lot to prove, and Done BMC will be ready to avenge the loss of their perfect record when going 1-2-3. I think the boys will win two of these games and tonight will be one.

Man this bet seems crazy but the line does look suspiciously low. Well, here we go. Revenge. Bombers Up.
