Thanks XS. I was thinking Vin was going with the Mets today as he had said earlierhe the series was going to be a split. But no. Homer is as Homer does. Now he thinks Robo is going to beat Colon and we're going to continue hitting the ball. (He didn't appear drunk but I think he might have been high. He has a taste for the ganja and got a vaporizer a while back - can't even smell the stuff anymore.... Modern technology.) Anyway, this pick gives me gas. I know Cespedis is not playing for the Mets but we won't have Severino for the middle innings. Hopefully Eovaldi can go deep and the pen boys can get to Betances. Oh yeah - we've got to hit the old potato's meandering excuse for a fastball. That's quite important..... The thing breaks into the corner of the strike zone just as it goes over the plate so you can't extend your arms and get any power behind your swing.... If he's on. If.....

Vin nowhere to be found yesterday and we missed an easy Homer winner. Getting ready to go out now and maybe the little Yankee boy will be in his usual spot. I still think he's having trouble getting his mind around the idea of giving up the season - even if we did get a boatload of young talent and getting something for a guy in his last year of a contract is the smart thing to do. It's just hard for some of us to throw in the towel. Honestly, I think he put more into into picking during the first part of the season, but we shall see if he can string together some wins or hits .500 and throws in the towel himself.
