I remember Harrington on Holdem was one of the best series on tournament play as well as cash game play that there was

Yeah, I have that series. Probably worth a crack open, haven't read them in probably 6+ years.

Harrington is a good series. Probably one of the best. Problem is, it's a bit dated and doesn't necessarily equip you for today's tournament play. I will give a more detailed answer when I have a little more time.

Got my second cash of the summer....Better yet, I'm in the biggest cash game of my life. This session could potentially make or break my series. The pots are massive and it is playing extra large. I will keep you updated.

Running pretty good in the Horse tournament. I have what has to be a top 10 stack early. Playing really well, and feeling great despite the absolutely horrible food in the poker kitchen. Why cant they serve a healthy meal? Probably due to the fact that 90% of all poker players are overwhelmingly fat and disgusting people who don't shower regularly. It amazes me every series how disgusting the human race can be, especially the ones who chose poker as a career. I hate spending so much time around this breed of insanely gross people with such shitty attitudes. Why would you chose a career, hobby that makes you so negative and unhappy?

The very reason why I never got much into live poker.
People say live is great because you can interact with real people.
Only problem with that is the people you interact with are fat, lazy, and low lifes for the most part.
Of course there are many exception but you get the point.

Give me a big MTT on poker stars any day of the week.

I've always been pretty strict with bankroll management, so that usually keeps the nerves down by not playing above your roll. I will be honest though. The game I am playing right now makes me a little nervous based on the size of the stacks. If it starts to affect my decisions or play though, I will step away. I just watched a 18K+ pot get shipped to one of the few guys in the game that you want to win. He will not leave the table until he loses it back and reloads 1-2 more times. Its definitely up for grabs. I'm 2 hours into a hopefully 10+ hour session and I am +2650. This game is so live that there are 18 players on the wait list. The directors here keep trying to open a new table and the waiters are refusing.....In layman's terms, there are 4 of the "livest" high limit fish all in the same game at the same time. Everyone wants a piece of the game. Guys are trying to buy seats, no one is selling.

Getting ready to hit the comfortable bed. Was up all night. Played a 10 hour session in the biggest game I ever played. At my highest point (about hour 7) I was +17k....Ended up cashing out +13K. I lost 2200 on the game last night and gave another 2k to the carney games. Still a great night, but could have been better. Getting some sleep and 7 of the guys in the big game from last night are meeting up again tonight. I'm hoping for another good night. I watched a kid last night take a 1 outer on the river (all in on the turn heads up) for a 29k pot. I almost puked, he took it damn well.

Sounds like you had a good night. Wish you continued success.

1 outer for 29k..........I don't think I'd be able to see straight or a few days.

Hey awmllc - i know i PM'd you last year during this thread asking what your name was - let me know via PM, wouldnt mind following you - i have a good handful of friends from Chicago area that i follow. if not, i understand - otherwise maybe shoot me your twitter account if you have one.

Earlier you mentioned the satellite day - did you and your friends all win seats? how many tries?

good luck to you - high stakes PLO has a little too much variance for me - highest i ever got online was 2/4 PLO to try and learn the game - was great to gamble it up, especially for people who can't fold flushes on paired boards, etc...

Well... It happened, I had my single worst live session ever last night. I played the big game again last night. I not only played bad, but couple that with running bad also and you have a -11k session. Yuck! All I can do is get back at it and ill be playing the same game tonight. Then back to the series tomorrow.

got it, GL, great thread to follow. How's the business (not sure what you're in) while you're away, fears abated?
I manage/list reo properties for banks and lending institutions (a RE broker specializing in Reo.) things are going surprisingly smooth. Almost all of the day to day is conducted through email, and my office manager is doing a great job acting on my behalf.

Back to the grind, I'm first on the waiting list for the big game. I'm hoping to regain some losses from last night plus the 1100 I just dropped on the carny games upstairs. It's officially the wsop here at the rio. Amazon room is starting to smell like the amazon! These disgusting kids have figured out the "4 bet" but they are lacking in the personal hygiene skills. I'm telling you, the hookers on Fremont smell better downstairs than the downstairs of the rio!
