Roll, I know you're probably referring to the automatic spot in the next round for the US but a few third place teams in the group stage will advance too. Really, the US just needs a win vs. Ghana and the 4 points should be good enough to get them through.

Thx for the Korea winner.

Mali/Greece u2.5 1u to win 1u

oppressive heat in Gaziantep today with temps approaching 100 which has killed off this mexico game with 0-0 at half. really only 2 chances all half and a very slow, plodding football. tough to play in this weather with little rest and could see a 0-1 goal game with greece/mali

will add a bet on the other 2pm game as well

colombia u20 +1/2 1u to win 1u

- south american champs with VERY disappointing 1-1 draw against Australia despite dominating most of the match and now up against the hosts. both teams know this is the toughest match in group and a draw is a great result.

Italy .5u to win 4u

- can't pass up 8/1 on europe's #2 team even vs spain. spaniards here more for the brazilian beaches than anything and they HAVE to be dead tired after guys like mata, iniesta, and xavi have played a stupid amount of matches in the past year. italy haven't been great but with pirlo and de rossi back they at least have a competent midfield although balotelli is back in italy.

England under 3 goals 1.35u to win 1u

- england went 2-2 with iraq in first match which has pushed this total to a 3 but offense is not their strong suit and they will be conservative vs the top club in the group, chile. in uefa u19 championships and qualifying england went over 3 goals just once, 6-0 vs Faroe, in last 12 matches and the u20 team went 0-0 0-0 0-0 0-1 in the 2011 cup. Against the better clubs in the south american tourney this year chile played 1-0 arg, 2-1 colombia, 0-1 uru, 1-0 colombia....only against the lesser teams like bolivia, peru, paraguay did those games see goals. chile with 10 straight u20 WC matches that haven't surpassed 3 goals

England 1-1 final....

2pm game in u20 tourney, Iraq vs Egypt

Iraq a pretty decent side and got the 2-2 draw vs England. This match might be wide open as both know this is their best shot at 3 points. Iraq's u19 lost Asian title to Korea in penalties and didn't lose a single match in 2011 and 2012. Too high odds...worth a small play

Iraq +235 .5u

adding u20 2pm Croatia vs Uzbekistan

decided to play Croatia as odds have moved a lot in Uzbek's favor. Croatia very solid team...this u20 team is basically the u19 team in 2011-2012 that lost just once in 15 matches, 1-0 to France, and played some really decent sides (England, Greece, Poland, Serbia, Bosnia, Austria, Holland). Uzbekistan rolled New Zealand in opener but NZ have never won an u20 match and just got outshot 21-3 in the Uruguay loss. Uzbek's lost in asian u19 semis to South Korea but in that tourney lost 2x to Iran plus 3-1 vs Korea and only beat Vietnam (2x), North Korea, and Australia.

Dc loser in 70th...only 2nd team they scored more than 1 goal against all season

both Portland and Dallas mostly first choice players out there but Portland defense largely reserves. Still about 97 degrees in Frisco

Dallas 2-3...Timbers keep rolling

3rd and final group matches start today in the u20. 3rd game in 6 days in heat so fitness will be a key...especially for the Kayseri matches (portugal, usa)

Portugal/Cuba
- hot weather should help cuba but they really can't defend. not impressed with portugal's backline either but not taking over 3.5 in this heat.

South Korea/Nigeria
- South Korea advance with a draw, Nigeria certain to advance with a win. teams quite equal IMO and all 3 results possible. Lean on Korea pk +105

USA/Ghana
- didn't expect USA to get a win but after watching Ghana I'm sure the USA are the better side. Neither team particularly organized in the back but I have to stake on the 2/1 odds for the more talented team. One thing Americans usually have is fitness with their altitude training. Joya suspended for US which hurts. Draw does neither any good so I'm going for the +200 price... USA 1u to win 2u

Spain/France
- France without Pogba, their best player, and continue to show they're a level behind Spain who are the only 2-0-0 team in the tourney. Both will be fine with a draw so not sure how great of a game this will be but it's either Spain -1/4 or nothing. teams met last year in u19 semis with France equalizing in stoppage time for 2-2, then losing in penalties after 3-3 extra time. Spain went to final and beat Greece for title.

so right now have 1u on USA u20 and the .5u on Italy from the other day

USA u20 1u to win 2u
Italy .5u to win 4u

11am Mediterranean Games

Libya vs Tunisia
- 3rd place match which is an automatic over bet for me...any tourney, doesn't matter. Teams met in group stage and Tunisia won 2-1. Libya's 5 matches in tourney ended with 3, 3, 3, 3, 4 goals. Very warm in Mersin so just a unit on this total

Libya/Tunisia over 2.75 goals 1.2u to win 1u

would be happy with 2-3 points though a 0-1-2 2/7 or so is more likely.
should have stuck with my original thoughts as they ended 0-1-2 3/9 .... worse thing you can do as US national team fan is:

1) expect them to win in a must-win situation
2) beat an african team in a tournament
3) entertain

really an embarrassing performance by Ramos' boys today. absolutely run off the field by Ghana to the tune of 4 goals and 25 shots allowed, including 17 of them on frame.

disgusting...and unfortunately not surprising

Tunisia won 4-0 so even for day with Italy pending

Mexico u20 vs Ghana u20
- Both Cuba and USA already eliminated from tourney and Concacaf's only hope might be Mexico as I don't see El Sal getting a point tomorrow against Colombia who've been my #2 team in the tourney (Spain u20 #1). Mexico breezed through the concacaf u20 title but looked disorganized in Toulon. I thought they played very well against both Paraguay and Greece and the 0-0-2 -2 is a tough result. Against Paraguay they put 11 shots on goal (vs 7 for Pgy) but just couldn't finish. Against Greece they missed some really incredible chances and ended with a 20-9 shots advantage after seeing the ball for nearly 2/3 of the game. Mali are a defense first, defense second team and pretty awful to watch. Their last 5 matches (u20 WC + African cup) have seen them score just 2 goals. Mexico have an excellent club and were favorites to win this group and 3rd/4th favorites to win the World Cup. While they can't win the group a victory could see them advance to the KO stage as a top 4 third place team depending on other results of course. Weather will be a big factor with expected temps of 100 at game time and both team playing 3rd match in 6 days. This will be a disaster for Concacaf if Mexico don't advance as I don't believe El Sal can advance with 3 points and likely -5 or worse goal difference which means all 4 teams would be out.

italy showed they should have never been +800 but only 0-0 in the end

Fri 2pm

Colombia u20 vs El Salvador u20
- Colombia have been very impressive after winning South American title and getting to finals of Toulon tourney. First match here was a comedy of finishing errors in 1-1 draw vs Australia where they outshot them 19-7. The finishing didn't get any better against the hosts, Turkey, in a match they dominated the final 75 minutes. Shots in that one ended 14-7 for Colombia and now SOG in two matches for them sits at 21-8 but just 2-1 goal differential. I watched all the El Salvador Concacaf matches and only Orellana impressed me. He's been in RSL's development team (so not even MLS first teamer) and just signed with Brondby but is a pretty good looking player. Other than that I really don't see much out of El Salvador. They were beaten by Mexico 2x (5-0 combined) and by Guatemala 1-0 in concacaf tourney and Colombia are quite a bit better than Mexico. Also like the u3.5 as SLV will play very defensively and Colombia aren't showing a lot of fininshing ability but they will get so many chances that I have to think at least 2 find the target. They've scored in just 2 of 21 SOG so it's a bit of a risk to lay -1.5 but there's not been a more offensive-minded team in this tourney and El Salvador defense will be the worst they've faced since dropping a 6-0 on Bolivia in January.

Colombia u20 -1.5 2u to win 1.33u
