Word is Dominoes stopped delivering to Tiger's house in Florida 'cause he never toked. Maybe an urban legend- I don't know! John Daly seems like the real deal, Tiger should take some etiquette lessons from him. Drinks and smokes, my kind of golfer- all the rest seem to be frigging mannequins! Kudos to Big John!

Journeyman Bill Glasson was always my favorite, and I love that Darren Clarke, that story about him leaving Wake Forest is a classic told by Curtis Strange

When people say the "Game of Golf" ahead of just golf, it is a reference focosing on the PGA. The top 120 players in the WORLD.....In the WORLD

golf is what you and I do and every other golfer does, even teaching pro just plays golf, even the scratch club pro plays golf.

THE GAME OF GOLF when used in this context refers to the MASTERS of the GAME, and they are the top 50 to 100 in the WORLD. And you know what that percentage versus how many dick heads own a set of clubs is ??????

It is like like .0001 percent.

YOU GET IT NOW!!??

Uhhh, no. It's still the same activity with the same rules. NBA players are the best group of basketball players in the world. And they are still just playing basketball, just like you or I might in a league. They are not playing "the game of basketball".

If anything, those who do it for a living should call it "the profession of golf". When you do something for a living, it's no longer really a game, it's a job. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

With you all the way, and here I thought I was the only one. He`s an arrogant little prick! And yes that`s my opinion, which we`re all entitled to.

I like him because he cuses and beats his club into the ground. Because thats what I do when I hit bad shot.

I think alot of people dont realize that these big time athletes like Tigger and Barry Bonds constantly at every second have guys all over them either asking for interviews or autographs. That would annoy the hell out of me to. Hell I garantee that if I had people in my face all the time I'd be worse than Tigger, Barry or T. Owens. I saw Tigger in the Orlando Airport one night after a flight and he seamed nice enough to me. He was talking to people and signing autographs. Sure he may be a dick at times but who isn't. If I got asked the same questions 300 times a day I'd be a little pissy to.

EasyMoney, you have a great point; none of us will ever know what it's like to be a megacelebrity like Tiger. I can only imagine the pressure, the lack of privacy, the critics & naysayers. I would probably be a dick too if I were trying to eat dinner and some dude kept bugging me for a picture.

However, during PGA play the fans are kept reasonably quiet and are not hounding players for autographs, the course marshalls see to it. I don't think Tiger can say he was slamming his clubs on the ground after a bad shot because too many people were asking him for autographs between shots.

MORE REASON TO BE HUMBLE AND GIVE PRAISE TO THE GAME....AND FELLOW GOLFERS.......you do not think that will take the pressure off of being hounded all the tiime. If you act like the king, you get chased like the king..

If he acted like a real MAN, and not a puppet boy,he would be OK

The constant pressure that premier athletes like Woods, Jordan etc, experience would really get old. I know they are paid extremely well but wouldn't it get old to not be able to go out in public without being hounded? I mean, think about it. You want to take the ole lady out for dinner. You walk in, sit down and for the next hour people are constantly asking you to sign this, sign that, take a picture with them. Damn.... and why? Because you can hit a golf ball better than anyone else? OR in a lot of cases it's because they can sell the autograph for money. Or sell the picture for money. I can't wait till a celeb pops a cap in a photographer's ass. Our whole society's adoration of athlete's is out of control. If you want to idolize someone then idolize the school teacher taking extra time to help out a kid. I don't blame the athlete's for being tired of this whole situation, I blame the public for being so shallow as to want to bother them all the time.

The public left Jordan alone more than Tiger, and you know why....He was Charismatic.......Tiger is as Charismatic as a stuffed animal

And he was on the Johnny Carson show when he was 2, so he should be used to it. Jordan was just a kid until he showed up at Carolina at 18.

The bottom line is the press and hounding in Tiger is to try and crack him, and YOU KNOW what they will crack him someday.

Act like a Man, act like you are the same as everyone else once in awhile, give praise, be humble, and show some respect......Then it would be different. See Tiger likes being trated with the propaganda of royalty, and that is what I do not like

Newport,

What are you basing this statement on " the public left Jordan alone more than Tiger" ?

And it's the media that made Tiger what he is.... they hound him because he's the #1 player in the world. IF the media didn't bug the shit out of him after every round then I don't think your perception of him would be what it is. I don't know if you've played golf at high level or not, but after shooting a horrible round the last thing I would want to do is answer some asinine questions from 10 different reporters looking for a sound byte. After shooting 5 over and knowing that all the work you put in the last couple of weeks might be wasted, would you have a happy face on? " OH gee, guys, life's great. I just wasted three weeks in about 4 hours but please ask me a couple more stupid questions that I've probably been asked 100 time before "

Sorry, but from what I've heard about Tiger from people that play with him is that he's a consumate professional. But the old adage "don't judge a man till you walk in his shoes " might apply here.

As far as the media pressure IT IS ALL RELATIVE To ALL ATHLETES

and as far as the MEDIA and TIGER....He Loves getting hounded, he loves them up his azz.......so do not patronize him too much or feel sorry for him getting hounded.....that has been there his entire life since toddler

and I never said a thing about his professionalism.....so please do not pontificate. And Playing any sport at a high level, and failing is tough to deal with regardless of the sport
