If I was forced to answer the following question on a game show without looking it up this is the way I would answer the following questions:

% of people who make 30K or less that graduated college.
Less then 10%

% of people who make between 30K and 100K that did not graduate from college
About 80%

% of people who make 100K to 500K who graduated college.
70%

% of people who make more then 500K per year who graduated college.
About 50%.

I would be almost willing to bet unlimited money that the percent of people who graduated college making 150K to 300K is much higher then the percent of people who graduated college that make over 500K per year.
I am almost 100% confident of this.

Most in this category are either doctors, lawyers or CEOs and almost all of them have degrees.

I guess what im trying to say is you can only go so far in corporate america working for someone.
College is great for getting a degree in a something then hiring on to a fortune 1000 company doing your 30 years and retiring with a nice pension.
Nothing wrong with that.

This is why I said college helps you raise your floor.

But the really well off people go out on there own and make it happen with there talent.

It is not disputable that getting a degree is better then not having one.

As long as you put it in the proper perspective.

If I see someone on the street that makes 30K per year there is almost a 100% chance that person did not go to college.
If I see someone on the street that makes 150K per year there is a great chance that person graduated from college.
If I see someone on the street that makes 20 million per year the odds he graduated from college is less then the odds of the person who makes 150K per year.

Huh? You are far more likely to have 20Ms in networth or income and have a college degree than not have in 2013.

I don't have the #s to back this up right now but it seems pretty obvious to me that most high level executives as well as entrepreneurs or real estate moguls do indeed have college degrees in 2013. If this # wasn't over the 50% threshold then it is on the way to becoming over it very rapidly....

This is moot because no way in hell justin is ever making 20Ms per unless someone leaves him a billion and even then I'm not sure he is a fav to pull it off.

oh shit just saw the unlimited amount of money thing, are you laying odds on that?

You said in the thread 20Ms or greater income means you are less likely to have a college degree, that might be true for guys in the NFL/NBA/MLB but the rest of the world I don't think so.....

what you said you want to bet unlimited amount of $ on I disagree with. It says % wise people graduating college 150k-300k income > 500k income, I'd guess the %s are pretty similar but I'd give the nod to >500k

Well I just did a google.
It says that 88% of Billionaires are college grads.
So I guess my theory is wrong.
Basing a world view on my personal experience sometimes does not match up in the grand scheme of things.

high level CPAs, executives, CFOs, CEOs, VPs, etc

Then you have another which is the small business owner, this % is way less in terms of being college educated (a lot of 1st generation families) but most of this generation is probably 50+, most of their kids go to college, even if they eventually are taking over the family business.

Justin, personally I'd like to see you get into combat sports for what its worth. MMA/boxing/kick boxing/muy thai whatever

This is good advice for almost every 20-something male in this culture. I've been training about 5 years now - best decision of my life.

How much money have you made from training in the last 5 years or is it all about fitness?

lol honestly I was just trying to lead him to get his ass kicked

Me too. That's the point. As males, we have the urge to dominate. In this pansy ass culture, the way we've been taught to do that now is through money and the legal system. So some males are trying to show how badass they are by building a bigger investment portfolio. IMO, the guys at my gym who actually train for something authentic are much more impressive. At the end of the day, authenticity is more impressive than some fancy bank account. You've got the Mercedes, but this guy can fuck you up, so fuck your Mercedes.

Yeah but then the guy with the bank account is gonna go withdraw some money and pay for a lawyer to sue the guy who fucked him up, no?

not much. I teach now to kids but its peanuts. The reason it changed my life is because I was miserable thinking that my worth in this world was how much money I made. It's ridiculous - you can make billions and not be happy. Find something or someone you love and do that thing or person as many times as possible, forever.

Well, I obviously don't advocate assaulting someone. I'm just saying most folks judge how they're doing in life by money. Before that, degrees. Before that gpa. And none of that shit matters.

And that is good but you have to have money to live as well.

I take shit nearly every time I post and respond to maybe 5% of it.

Wow so many people don't like you here, you should make a big 3 or 5 team parlay bet and give the winnings to someone posting in this thread. Then you will be liked better.
