Then what is your motivation to even post here?

like I said, it's only a few that do the bashing. I enjoy interacting with all the other posters and ignoring the haters is not a big deal to me. I post because I don't do facebook and most of my friends aren't huge sports fans like me. 0% of the people I know in the real world sports bet too.

JC,

Actually, I think you are full of shit when it comes to inquiring. I sent you a PM asking you a couple if relevant questions to try and assist you, but the fact that you didn't respond leads me to believe you are just fishing for shit. Also, who graduates from a top 20 B achooll and doesn't know a tier 1 from a tier 2 law school????

No shit? When JC first started posting here he asked for advice on leadership so he could start his new company with a solid foundation as a leader. I've studied the topic at length so I sent him a very long PM with great information to help him out.

Guess what? He didn't respond.

The guy is trolling.

Actually I really didn't get his pm and I was genuinely needing Law school advice, which I got. Who is trolling here when I am just asking for advice on a topic and you and a few others come on to make it personal? Isn't that the definition of trolling....coming on a thread and trying to start shit.

Btw I got your pm back then and didn't respond because you were probably the biggest asshole on the forum to me at the time. Thought it was water under the bridge until now.

Didn't you go to IU? you mean to tell me people there don't know tier 1 from a tier 2?

Are they supposed to?

I assume the ones interested in Law school do but I'm not sure why anyone else would have the list of tier 1 and tier 2 Law schools memorized.

Are you serious? Chop busts your balls more than anyone here and I'm starting to think it's all warranted. Water under the bridge until now? Why can't you just have a conversation with a guy and not take it as a personal attack?

Chop is just a really weird guy lol I don't think he could offend anyone.

I believe you to be intelligent just very hard headed and strong in your own beliefs. Therefore I have more respect for you then someone like Choptalk, who has done some bizarre and sketchy things on here in the past.

In my defense many conversations I attempt to have on here turn into personal attacks towards me.

If you have me on ignore, how are you able to read my posts?

I click view post.

Not sure why you are on ignore. I took you off if you want to send again. Because I really did not get it and I really do need information.

You don't have to have it memorized, but anyone who graduated from a Top 20 school knows the difference between a Tier 1 and Tier 2/3/4 law school. Also, I thought Lloyd Blankfein would be able to hook you up. Aren't you number #1 at Goldman in their M&A division?

Of course I understand that a tier 1 is better then a tier 2 if that is what you mean.

I thought you meant everyone at a top 20 school knows what the tier 1 schools are and what the tier 2 schools are

I don't need to respond to the other thing I've said over and over I am nothing but a salesman with a finance title. If i was M&A in NYC why would I be asking about law school?

People who don't know anything about law school I guess. The top 20 bschool doesn't mean jack in the real world unless you are ivy league, which I am not. And I did not receive a pm from you.

I did not receive it murph. Is there a way you can look at my account and see that? The last PM I received was on 5/15.

If he was on ignore would that make me not get it?

What kind of degrees do you think so many CEOs have?

I believe you, but we cannot read pms nor verify who has sent who which. If he is on ignore and he sent you one, I suppose it may not show up. If you mark as not ignored it should then show I suppose. (not quite sure)

You think? I'd say less than 3% of total posters at the RX are lawyers but that's a total WAG.

That would mean there are over 500 lawyers on therx.
Far above your 1 estimate.

I have maybe posted about it three times in 9 months. So not quite "over and over again". I don't even have an advanced degree and was just asking about ways to better myself because I basically admitted I'm stuck where I am without more school. What is there to brag about? Relax man.

I thought you weren't going to be the guy that goes back and forth anymore? I didn't even do anything to provoke you here or post anything that was directed towards you.

SO the dream job is not a dream job afterall?

I have a good job. There is no such thing as a dream job. I have made some mistakes on here in the past in how I worded things, I will be the first to admit. But I will be skipped over for promotions until I get an advanced degree of some sort. And I really don't want an MBA that every Joe Schmo gets these days without even leaving his house.

I am fortunate to have a very good job. But I will be skipped over for promotions until I get an advanced degree of some sort. And I really don't want an MBA that every Joe Schmo gets these days without even leaving his house.

Justin, im going to be nice.
What I am going to tell you is well intentioned, not intended to put you down but actually give you some solid advice.

I think you have a really bad case of degreeitus. I made that word up.

What I mean is you are one of those people who gets a degree then goes into the real world and finds out that your degree is not a lottery ticket to wealth and riches.
So then you conclude that your problem is you need another degree.
That will solve the problem.
Then you go get another degree thinking that: "now the world will bow down to me and shower me with riches".
Then you go back into the real world for another 6 months only to find out that the real world is not impressed.
So then you say to yourself: "well I will go get another degree.

This goes on and on and on.

I got out of that rat race after 1.5 years of college.
I learned that I would be better off getting good at something then wasting my time in a classroom.

The secret to being a success in life is to be good at something.
You have to be able to find something in life that is valuable that you are better at then over 99% of the population.

This country is flooded with idiots with degrees that think think they are auto entitled to all the great jobs. But many of these people are useless.

Give me a 4 year grad that went to a public university and payed his way through college with a 3.0 with a head on there shoulders over a career student who has not done shit his whole life at a top 20 school with a 3.9 GPA 8 days a week.

Nothing worse then an advanced grad who thinks he or she is entitled.

People pay you for being talented in the work place.
Not for having a degree never having a meaningful job your entire life.

And dont believe the BS about its who you know.

You make your life what it is good or bad.

You control your own destiny.
