I went to the Grand opening of the new Cannery East on Boulder highwqay last night. It's a don't bother place if you're interested in Video poker playing. It was a total traffic disaster as I had to park in the nearby WalMart parking lot and walk. It was very crowded to put it mildly but I pretty much surveyed the entire Casino and I saw no 100 % Payback machines in the whole place. Sportsbook seemed pretty OK but I've seen better around town. It looks like a place I will take in their free comps but avoid even though it's not far from where I live.

Thanks for the very kind words Kermit and thanks for hanging out with me last nite, I had a great time. I coud have stuck aroud another couple hours to tell you the truth. You were very easy to talk and had some interesting disscussions on a variety of subjects. Thanks for all the knowledge, you were a big help and I really came out of that meal with a way better idea on how things work when it comes to comps, coupons, video poker, etc... There is NO DOUBT in my mind this guy is a winning player all the way around, he knows value and has discipline and those are probably the 2 most important things you need to win, IMO.

Listening to Kermit just made me realize again how many different people were taking advantage of all this little things back in the day and winning cause of it. At times it just frustrates the crap out of me to think about how much easier it was to bet and I am talking only about 2-3 years ago. I cant begin to tell you how many different conversations with how many different people I have had pertainning to "good ole days of 2004, 2005, etc.."

Should be fun adding some of things Kermit talked about. It is going to take me getting orgainized better on some of this stuff and then putting in the time but it should be fun to give it a try and do it on the side with my sportsbetting. Now if I can only get Fishhead to answer back my e-mail's (LOL) I should have a few extra things in place to earn a little extra income on the side with all this. I patiently await you Fisher, football is almost here and I need some info buddy. I know one thing Kermit had me all fired up when I left there last nite to learn some of the things he talked about. I will keep everyone posted on how this works out for me. Thanks again Kermit!!!

Thanks FH. I replied back!! You wouldnt believe how excited I get seeing people e-mail me nowadays, LOL but I am being 100% serious when I say that. I have a few different ideas and things out there and instead of getting the e-mails I use to get from my last employer all day (which made me sick to my stomach, LOL), these e-mails are usually informative and overall are great to read as I learning so many different things.

I am wating around for the dish network guy to get here. This feel pretty weird as I am doing the "housewife" type stuff latley (paying bills, running errands).

Today shoould hopefully be a productive day. After this dish guy gets here (he says 8-12 and I can almost guarantee you it is closer to noon) I am leaving and going to get my Nevada ID. I am going to be making some cals to a few casinos and try and learn about how this betting over the net/phone at the Vegas sportsbooks thing works. This could be huge but the few guys i know in town acted like that dont use it. We shall see. Also going to get an I-phone or something similiar. Tried to memorize everthing yesterday when I went to the books and I felt I did poorly. It was more a test but I walked away confused. Maybe something where I can take a brief look in and around the books as a lot of what I do revolves around line shopping. To be honest with you I dont know how important betting in the local sportsbooks will be to what I am doing. All this stuff is going to be a hit and miss thing for me at first until I find a pattern on doing things. I have a plan laid out for a typicl week but I am sure I will be making adjustments.

Going to also try and load up 5-8 books today, there are some great offers and bonuses all over. I want to bet mainly 2nd half CFB tomorrow as I did very well with these last year and really want to look deeper into them this season. Cant wait for the adjustment of watching CFB starting at 9am tomorrow. This will be so odd to me. I had feeling pressured and behind so I imagine getting up around 6am tomorrow. Going to take it light more or less but just try and get a feel for some things. One thing I want to do is head downtown tomorrow and just look at some of there numbers right before game time, see if it worth being down there. I can already see how beneificial it would be to have a partner ot two with covering all the bases. I have spoke to a few guys but I think it may be better at first to go at it alone for me as I feel most comfortable doing things the way i did them in the past, espically at first till I get use to a few things.

Should be a very interesting weekend and hopefully I learn a few things along the way. That will probably be the most important thing this weekend on how to use my time most effiecently. I will keep everyone posted on how it is going.

Hilton has the BC lions +6.5 and +220 on the ML. (according to SO)

Nobody offshore is close to that, highest is Pinny at +198.

This game (IMO) could go either way, perhaps a slight edge to the home team, but +220 is very high on a very talented BC team coming off a loss.

+6.5 is also quite sweet, I wonder wether they would let you buy to the 7 for only 10 cents. Probably not worth it, but in CFL a team can often win by "exactly" 7 in OT due to the overtime rules.

hmmmmmm........

I guess there are some golden apples if you live in vegas, its just a matter of finding them.

Vegas residents...I need help locating some one i believe to be one of the best soccer gurus i ever met. I spent the entire superbowl weekend and basketball all star week in vegas and she never once gave me a loser in the sport of soccer.

I was too intoxicated all those weeks and never paid much attention to it because i was doing quite well in other sports and gambling options.

I would like to make a proposition to the any one of the sports betting residents to help me seek her out.

She works at a known casino and will be dead easy to find by just describing her as a soccer fanatic.

If any one is interested in being a runner for easy winning soccer picks please get in touch with me at

mattelt5t@yahoo.com so we can work something out.

I just need some one to get some picks from her and may be pay her (because she will probably do it for free) She never asked me for a penny but i would pay her any way.

Does SO show many Vegas lines other than the Hilton?

pretty much at home. I try and stay away from the mess of people unless I have to be down there to bet. Get back to me about this in a few months and I will have a better idea/answer. Ironic thing is I have lost 5lbs in the 3 1/2 weeks I have been here, think it may have to do with the heat.

There are lots of good bonuses about online atm, I just wish I still had the level of trust to take full advantage of them!

about online ATM? You lost me here?

I was thinking the same thing. I have been very patient and I am refusing to accept less than 30% from any book right now. Been hard work but I am finding a few.

I gotcha. It's a candy store out there right now. Now that I have the time I am going to try and move some money around in the next few months.

ICe,

So your strategy is to play at slow books and just leach off of others talent? Common strategy. Your now adding to your arsenal coupon clipping, dont forget to consider 2nd hand casino smoke into the equation, you lose a little health, not a great tradeoff.

Not at all RB.

I am a huge volume player looking for any small edge I bet.

Some of my stuff will be steam type plays, sure but I also will throw in value when I see it (which can be small mistakes by books who are sleeping or need some buy back or whatever) with a number that has been there for quite a while.

I do cap some things but not without extensively trying to time the market.

I am also exploring openers pretty hard this year also.

I also have little things I pick up all week from others on the net with situational capping. For example I read a situation yesterday on another site involving first year head coaches in CFB games not covering there 1st game over 60% of the time the last 100+ situations, so I am looking all week when to jump in against team like N.Illinois, Missisppi, and Colorado ST. So far 2-0 this season with strategy going against Baylor and SMU. More or less great stuff you read while being on the forums all day and putting in the time.

I have a few respected people get plays from with their opinion on them that I feel work very hard at this.

I love 2nd halfs and have done very well with them the past few years and when you have enough books and work hard enough you can find more plays there.

I will play back (if number is better than consensus number) against the line move if I think the line has moved to much and more or less fade the move.

Looking to use what I feel is every advantage I can while working all week at it.

Bottom line looking to bet all of my plays at or near the apex of the line is the goal.

I think if you put all of your focus and attention on a sport and are on top of it completely then you should be able make enough +ev plays to show an edge. That is what I am looking to do.
