He talks about thermodynamics and starts pointing out alot of things that are "scientifically impossible". If he is just talking about some type of energy or some type of other state, unknowing to us, then i can dig what he is saying, but if he is trying to defend about some religion - this guy is wrong and is a hypocrite. Case in point, the books, like the Bible and the Koran and the torahh and others. Its scientifically impossible for someone to be born of a virgin birth, die and the come back to life, walk on water, make fish form bread, live to be 850 years old or believe that the sun was made after the earth. If you believe in that shit, your delusional.

SABINE, I LIKE YOUR THINKING. I DO NOT CALL MYSELF A “CHRISTIAN” BECAUSE I WAS TOLD THE TERM MEANS “CHRIST LIKE”. I CANNOT CONSIDER MYSELF TO BE NO WHERE NEAR CHRIST STANDARDS. THAT BEING SAID, I AM A BELEIVER. I TRY TO LIVE A LIFE PLEASING TO GOD, BUT I AM HUMAN AND MAKE MISTAKES. ABOUT THE BIBLE, I KNOW IT WAS WRITTEN BY MANY PEOPLE. IT PROBABLY WAS DISTORTED IN SOME PLACES, BUT I DO BELIEVE IN THE BASIC PRINCIPLES JESUS THOUGHT. FOR EXAMPLE, THE GOLDEN RULE AND THE GOOD SAMARITAN. I DO NOT TRY TO PUSH PEOPLE INTO MY BELEIFS. MY THINKING IS, WHAT DO I HAVE TO LOSE IF I BELIEVE IN JESUS AND AN AFTERLIFE DOES EXIST? IF THE BIBLE IS CORRECT, WHAT DO YOU NON-BELEIVERS HAVE TO LOSE?

So you think people should force themselves to believe in Jesus Christ because it might be beneficial to them? You do know, do you, that truly believing is not a voluntary act?

A good Christian would learn how to release the ALL CAPS KEY

Meanwhile, I believe God provides us a healthy afterlife because She told me it was so.

Jesus was a woman? Does that make him/her a lesbian, because of that whole thing with Mary Magdeline?

And quit trying to bait the Rapture Crowd with inferences that Jesus Christ might have been gay.

Not saying God is gay
Not saying that at all

But if Jesus Christ was God and God created all.
Then Jesus Christ created the homosexual.
There might be a little f-agg in us all.

Jesus Christ - homosexual
Jesus Christ - homosexual

(verse 2)

They say that God hates Fags,
They walk around so pissed.

Disguise their hate as love,
But have they thought of this.

He made us in his image,
Now listen to what I say.

Then it’s a possibility that Jesus Christ was gay.

Jesus Christ - homosexual
Jesus Christ - homosexual

Mankind has developed lots of fairy tales since being in existence, you just have to decipher what is made up and what is not.

The truth hurts.

Bar I hate religious debates. You either have faith or you don't. I don't, but I want to be wrong. And then for God to forgive me. Yeah I know that's asking A LOT!

I also believe you can be a person of high moral value without religion [that statement might make Joe C create a real ghost]! And I believe every person I meet is good until they demonstrate otherwise.

But out of curiousity Bar, I believe you have previously stated you are a Christian. Then above you wrote, "Jesus Christ is not my God." Help me out here.

Okay Scott...I'll take off my court jester hat and get serious for a sec

Many sects of Christianity (there's at least a couple hundred) teach that "Jesus Christ" is God incarnate.

Many others - including the sect with which I most closely affiliate (Unity) - teach that we are all God incarnate and that Jesus Christ was notable primarily as a Master Teacher whose short time on this plane provided demonstration of living with adherence to higher Principle.

FellowRxForum mate PAT PATRIOT is also a Unity supporter and may be able to provide additional perspective.

=====
SIDE NOTE....I've come to learn that I've not been counseled to "seek forgiveness from God".

Rather, I'm counseled to practice forgiveness towards myself and my fellow man.

Christ did not teach the notion of "seeking forgiveness", but rather he actively promoted the message of "forgiving".

barman, I'm a bit confused here. Earlier you said "Jesus Christ is not my God" yet in this post you say we are all God incarnate. Wasn't Jesus then God incarnate?

I also believe we are all God incarnate. Jesus also taught that when he said in John 10:34, “Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?”

Thanks Barman.

I don't think faith is a choice. You either have it or you don't.

But I am a believer. What I believe is one should keep his/her own relationship with God to themselves and not force their beliefs on others. That would make for a more peaceful world.

But while we're on religion, what do you get when you cross a Jehovah's Witness with a Hell's Angel?

Well yes (to your lead question). The distinction I intended was to note that many sects of Christianity believe that ONLY Jesus Christ was God incarnate and therefore he is given the same level of deification and worship as is "God Almighty" (or equivalent name) in other notable religions.

Fundamentalist Christian sects - notably Pentacostals, Baptists, Assembly of God etc - will honestly submit that "Jesus Christ is my God" because they perceive him to be the exact same spiritual entity as "God the Father" (per many New Testament interpretations).

I personally make no such tribute to any one individual, nor do many Christians who perceive interpretations of the New Testament differently than do Fundy Christians.

Thanks for the explanation barmeister.

Have you ever studied Hinduism? The Hindus believe that God is participating in what they call the grandest hide-and-seek game by hiding the Divine within us. In other words, we are all separate facets of the Divine just like a diamond has separate facets. Yet our knowledge of the Divine is limited until we choose to know more about Divinity.

QLEAP, I've never studied Hinduism and my knowledge on it is just bits and pieces sucked into my brain by osmosis over the years.

Probably half of it comes from the allegories present in Zelazny's "Lord of Light".
