Med, Adriatic borders the entire east coast of Italy, Ligurian (northern Italy, Italian Riveria, Genoa, Portofino, etc.), Tyrranean (sp?) and I don't know the fifth. Ligurian, Tyrr and the other one are sometimes considered part of Med.

true equality would mean basing employment on percentage of population. for instance each line of work should employ about 13% hispanic and 12% black to equal the population. however, that number would be unfair to other ethnic groups, because hispanics especially, have larger families ie more children so less employable workforce
the bottom line is this....hispanics and blacks have problems, have had had problems and will have the same problems 100 yrs from now in this country not because of discrimination...but because of their natural intellectual weakness. Jews are probably more discriminated against than these groups yet they consistently rise to the top.

1 - Are they "competing" even with AA? Sure, it will open doors that may not have otherwise been open for someone with capability and they will thrive, but placing someone in a job or college who doesn't have the underlying skills isn't going to do anything for them. They will get into a competitive situation (whether college or work) and fail. Giving someone an opportunity doesn't necesarily mean they will be able to compete when the handouts stop.
2 - While IQ is a measure of intelligence it has nothing to do with desire to work. There are plenty of jobs that can be had that don't require high intelligence but still provide a good quality of life. This is where the cycle of poverty gets perpetuated. Immigrants work these jobs and advance socio-economically if not intellectually, american poor don't.
I don't think IQ varies much by race, more like you need the IQ and the ability to attend ( pay for) college in order to become a doctor or something.
The poor black kid in Detroit may have the IQ ( born with it) but goes to SHIT schools, and doesn't get nearly as much chance for a scholarship, so then if/when he even graduates HS, he has to go right to work at Walmart, and becoming a doctor doesn't have much hope. He could join military, but that is still a much harder path to college.
The middle class white kid has an easier path, likely goes to much better schools, and possibly can go right to college after HS.
