Varkey, LOL when I saw WBA hit the woodwork just before half time. I said to myself, not again!

I took Southampton as well when I read that Dial was behind them too for 1 unit. It was a great line at plus money so Dial deserves some major props for digging that one up.

nice hit on WBA - not sure you looked at MLS in your lifetime but i am a bit tempted on LA Galaxy -1.5 ... looks like some 2-0 wins a row and i don't know if you heard that TFC are terrible...they play them tough but mini-revenge could be on their minds after the CL knockout last season. TFC have to travel to El Salvador midweek in an attempt to do the impossible and qualify to the next round in the CL (beating santos in mexico by multi-goals might be needed). Certainly LA will be looking to climb up the standings...it's just TFC don't lose to LA and needed 2 goal wins is tough in the MLS.

I think LA Galaxy would make a nice double with Real Salt Lake but that seems too obvious. Probably no bet but i might take la -1.5 just to support the local league..haha..

Thanks for the play! wwoah pulled it off

What do u think about Juventus over 2.5?

I don't wager on Ialian soccer. I may have mentioned that I have a cousin who manages a Serie C club and he has told me never to bet in Italy.

I would expect an over like you do, Juve have gone over the number 5 of the last 6.

The overs I like in Serie A are:

Lazio vs. Genoa Over 2.5
Cagliari vs. Roma Over 3

If the fix is not in they should go over but no way do I bet on these crooks on the field and I was born an Italian. Ashamed to say it but they are crooks on the field.

I rarely look at the MLS. My last wager was Portland/Quakes Over.

You are right that TFC cover vs. them but I like the Over 3 in the match up. Fade or Follow. LOL.

Liverpool vs. Manchester United (COMMENTARY ONLY not a Wager)

I know everyone is keyed in on the Derby between Liverpool and Man U, but I can’t seem to find an edge I am confident with in this match. Man U (the better team at the moment) have struggle at Anfield and as such we see favorable odds if you are backing Man U. Why not take United at even odds? Is it a trap? Maybe!

I don’t know but what I do know is that these two teams rarely draw. In fact, they have had only 2 Draws in the last 26 meetings. Another interesting stat is that 7 of the last 10 Man U matches at Anfield have gone under 2.5 goals. Liverpool has 4 wins and 1 draw in the last 5 Man U matches at Anfield. These are close matches and Liverpool has been cashing in.

Just food for thought!

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Queens Park Rangers

***LINK***

Above is a link to a video that will add to my preview and help explain my choice.

As you heard in the video QPR is winless this season and with the injuries at the back four I can’t see how Cesar can do it all on his own. The notable absences of Anton Ferdinand, Fabio, Stephane Mbia and Armand Traore in back and Diakite and Johnson up front will clearly dishevel the QPR lineup. Furthermore, I don’t know where they plan on finding goals? They have only 2 goals in 4 matches. Considering they prefer a 3-4-3 set up, one has to wonder why Hughes hasn’t seen much goal scoring success.

AVB is not my favorite manager but his team is shaping up well. They have their share of injuries too. But I can’t help but feel for them after the mess they went through against Lazio getting the short end of the stick with 3 disallowed goals. (FIX???) How they didn’t win is beyond me! Seeing what Everton did in response to being robbed at the hands of the officials last week, I expect a similar performance by Spurs; who can still taste the bitterness of Thursday. I expect great things from Dembele and Dempsey today who are a nice addition to Defoe and Adebayor.

Let’s face the facts; QPR have not won away from home since November 2011. They have 12 losses and 3 draws in their last 15 matches away from Loftus Road and let’s not forget that QPR just missed relegation by 1 point during a crazy final week of do-or-die matches.

I couldn’t paint a better picture if I was Michael Angelo.

Tottenham Hotspur -1 (-135) 4 Units

WOW!!!

The 1st half is still on but I am moving on. I backed Spurs and AVB for the first time and look what I get. I get crapped on.

AVB Crap. I cannot and will not back an AVB side again.

This team is playing like shit and are managed by shit and I still don't understand the love for Brad in net.

I went against my better judgement (BIG MISTAKE) and I am on my way to the hospital now to remove the baseball bat AVB lodged in my rectum. :)

Have a nice weekend.

To come back from 0-1

A push is a win in my book =o)

I hear you but I'm a pragmatic and the facts speak for themselves.......AVB is out of his league in the EPL. It's not Portugal which is primarily a domestic league, it's the EPL...One of the top 3 leagues in the world with many of the best players in the world.

Chelsea are better for releasing him and Spurs will learn the hard way.

EPL is the best league in the world, I don't even think that can be debated anymore... Spanish La Liga and Bundesliga are 2nd and 3rd. Serie A and Ligue 1 have fallen off last few years.

Southampton vs. Sheffield Wednesday

When I was going through the match ups in this round I saw this match and it screamed OVER!!!

Both clubs struggle defending and putting them both on the field at the same time equals goals. Wednesday have scored 12 and conceded 12 goals this year . The last 6 matches they have played have resulted in all six hitting the 3 goal total.

Southampton will likely field reserve and youth players evidence that they don’t really care about this competition. Wednesday have greater motivation to go further in cup play and we will see them aggresively go for it tonight.

With the changes that both sides will make, the need for Leeds to get a result and the weak defending I like the over to hit in this match and early. I really believe this is the best play of this round.

On it myself already. Got a few plays going in Capital One Cup, some big payout parlays hoping to connect on one. Sunderland are worth a look with Martin O'Neill who takes this cup very seriously.

AGREE!

And they could use a win to boost confidence too. Plus you are right about O'Neill he took Villa to the finals twice and won with Villa. So he is serious about this Cup.
