hey areu....respect that you come and post yer picks regardless, cuz you actually give a reason...but backing any team with tim howard as a keeper, well you are on yer own....if you have seen me post anything about him in the past, you will note that he goes to his knees on the ground quicker than a hooker.......ps. everton were robbed of 3 points in this match..cuz at 3-1 i think there wasn't enough time for newcastle to mount this comeback they came up with today...cheers
I can't argue with that one. Sir Alex dropped him like a hot potato after some costly errors in 2005-06. I train keepers so if you want my analysis of him, here it is for what it's worth:
He's a gutsy keeper and I have seen him do some crazy things to stop the ball. He's not afraid to get hurt. But he still has problems with the ball in the air and that means crosses and corners.
Today the Toffees left him on his own on many occasions. The first goal caught him flat footed and he was not in position. The second was not his fault at all. You have to challenge or at least make a decision and he did.
It's tough to play a match against 14 when you only fielded 11 as the rules state. You can't win them all.
Tough to swallow when you know you had the right side.
But I just hit the over 2.5 (+110) in the Swansea vs. Everton match on Saturday for 3 units.
Two attack minded sides.
Write up to follow Friday.
