good post buzzsaw, i tend to agree with you. though i think this guy was wrong, and well, foolish for doing this, i also think that wsex isnt completely smelling like a rose either.

at the very least, they should do something about the software allowing what this guy did.

i must say though, im really curious about the fake contact info revere gave them....

Why not ? If his bankroll is 1M or 2M, it's ok to bet 40k on a game like this.

If someone has 1 or 2 M, I can think of many less stressfull ways to invest his money.

Wilheim, you are very wrong to call him thief.
His bet had very high risk (even though it was probably a scalp somehow).

Wsex should have something like this from a kicked back e-mail:

"There was a problem:
The nickname theperscription.com is not in your Address Book.
Please enter a valid e-mail address (e.g., in the format person@yahoo.com) or use a nickname from your Yahoo! Address Book.

Your message has not been sent".

If they would post it or even send it to the Rx. it should prove they did try to send an EM and it was a wrong address,

Hache,I doubt if any bookie would do that for you, except Spyro.

I think Revere fits the definition:
Main Entry: thief
Pronunciation: 'thEf
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural thieves /'thEvz/
Etymology: Middle English theef, from Old English thEof; akin to Old High German diob thief
Date: before 12th century
: one that steals especially stealthily or secretly; also : one who commits theft or larceny.

Rever14,

Would you like to call me and try to resolve this situation? Would you prefer to let the Shrink mediate?

Revere14, You had to know better. After 20 times over the max. and the line did not move, did'nt you become a little concerned that these bets would be cancelled? How bout when you bet 30 times over the max? Maybe 40 times? When your wager hit 50 times over the max? And then 60 times, 70 times? And after two hours of betting the same soccer match and having wagered 80 TIMES OVER THE MAX. in the middle of the night and the line did not move? What did you think was going to happen? You have a bogus phone# and e-mail address on file so WSEX was unable to notify you. WSEX is in the right for cancelling all wagers over the max.

.. Just my observation on this if your going to do some unique betting like that, and its that kind of cash involved and wsex obiously knows you well .as you are a big time bettor WHY not call that in to make sure all is well after you placed all those multi bets..... I know im very small time and that money figure to you is probably nothing but that is just my opinion on it....good luck here on both sides I am glad ken will mediate this one

Revere14,

I am surprised that you didn't call me back like you said you would to resolve this dispute. Do you agree to let the Shrink mediate? Is there a reason why you gave us a phoney phone number and email address? What was your reason for putting in so many bets with different amounts? Were you trying to sneak them past us when noone was in? Do you think we take $40,000 on soccer without moving the line? I was awakened at 6;30 a.m and tolf of the bets. We tried to call you and email you
but you had given us wrong information.

Steve, answer the quesion directly please: The wagers were placed between 4:19 and 6:07, the match started at 7:00, exactly what time or times were the wagers cancelled/refunded? What TIME? You stated it was before the event. What was the exact time and do you have some recorded record of the time? I think we need to hammer down that fact before we move on.

Steve has asked 2 times in the last hour, for you to call him to resolve this matter.

Why would you not want to make that call?
