Would anyone out there make bets of this size under these circumstances and leave yourself incommunicado. When you sign up at a book you have to supply a Phone Number and E-mail address. If what Wesex claims is true how do you expect them to contact Revere to discuss the problem? Every on-line book uses EM to conduct business with customers. To not have a current EM or phone is the players fault. It looks to me like he did not want to be reached before or during the game, could that possibly be the case?
Everytime one of these incidents comes up the player could have avoided the problem by doing the right thing. Also what makes most of you guys think that WSEX would not have refunded his money if the game had lost? I know "how naive can you be". Excuse me, but I will not condem anyone without some evidence that they would have kept the money if he lost. This guy is in the wrong and knows it. Maybe Wsex will make some sort of deal with him, I hope so, but deep down I don't believe he deserves it. Do the right thing and this stuff will not happen to you.

Wil,
If you think WSEX was going to refund his money if the bets lost, then why on earth would they wait till after the game was over? Why not just cancel all the bets except for $500 before the game start and not have to deal with returning 39,500 after the game was over?? That tells me one thing. They would have graded all his bets as a loss if Man United lost. They took their shot and they lost and then decided we will only credit him with a $500 bet win. Just does not make sense if they were not trying to pull one over him.
