Ah, not THAT retarded, lol! But as I said, not easy to make the right picks here - too many questionmarks. Same goes for the men's sprint, which I will skip too. Perhaps the pursuit is worth a shot when things are a bit more clear...

Saturday:

i see no value in the men race at all,but some with the girls:

Berger over Denkinger @ 1.95

Berger starts 17 sec behind Denkinger. She had one error more than the German yesterday. overall she should be better in the track and shoting should be about equal..so the 17 sec should be possible.

Glagow- Panza: Glagow @1.80 !! 2 units!!

Both with the same time, bith with 2 errors. Glagow had both errors in first shoot (the easier one), which is unusual, which shows to me that she is overall in good shooting form. even if she is not in top form she is still way better than Penza. the only reason i can see for that kind of line is "hom advanatge" for the italian...does it really matter in ANtholz..i dont think so. that a clear mismatch

BOL to all

Neuner very shaky in standing shooting position , especially here I watched her shoot and she was breathing a lot and moving when getting ready to shoot and in between the shots . My lean would be Bailly but it will sure depend on standing position results for Magdalena

@Berger over Denkinger: at that price it's definitely worth a shot. I think that Berger is a bit more consistent at the shooting range.
@Glagow over Ponza: Agree here as well. Glagow not back to best form after illness, but Ponza struggling a bit and I don't think that she has any kind of home advantage at all - more of a home disadvantage! Most of the other nations are not so used to the public pressure like the Germans are...

Head to head

Svetlana Sleptsova vs Anna Carin Olofsson

My pick is Svetlana Sleptsova to finish ahead of Anna Carin Olofsson

5 units to win 4 units at gamebookers

Svetlana starting 6 seconds ahead of Olofsson . She lost around 20 seconds because of problems with her ski in the sprint otherwise she would be far ahead . Olofsson shooting very slow this season and if you make an error shooting so slow it will be very hard to finish in top positions . Sleptsova is in very good form , she is running faster than Olofsson , has better shooting times than her and less errors than Olofsson most of time .

TOP 3

My pick is Andrea Henkel to finish in TOP 3

8 units to win 4.88 units at betfair

Henkel is in a decent form and finally not making lot of errors , reminds me of Greis in men biathlon who finally showed what he is made off . She is starting 16 seconds ahead of the third S.Sleptsova which means she should be able to finish ahead of the people starting behind her if she doesnt make many errors plus she has already enough time for an extra penalty loop . She has top 10 running times at the moment and her shooting improved a lot after bad start this season .

Yep, congrats Chriscol+Brainiac.
Reporter said sth like "Olofsson has a sweet secret - but I can't tell you more!" if I got that right, I'm not sure... Is she pregnant?

Great odds , I see 1.20 for same bet at gamebookers :missingte

Nobody else wanted to bet at 1.50 so I could only get 3 units in .

Ole Einar should have no problem at all getting into the Top 3 today , 4th ranked Hanevold is 30 seconds behind him and that will probably gonna be over 40 seconds before the first shooting . Both Greis and Bjoerndalen should finish in Top 3 today .

i agree completely on Greis and Bjorndalen in Top 3..everybody else is too far behind.
unfortunately i only have the pinny matchups, which not much value at all.
I like Ferry over Hannevold (same starting time, much better racer, at least similar shooting), but it is only at 1.68
Also Tschudov over Wolf (Wolf 7 sec ahead, Tschudov is way better on track, he should have a 3-4 shot advantage), but again only 1.54

How good is Kruglov? Can he be in the mix with Greis (Greis @ 1.61) over the long distance...have to look deeper into that.

input welcome

It was surprising that Kruglov was able to go the pace of Greis and Bjoerndalen yesterday. In the past, he got only good results in Antholz when he shot no errors. Under normal circumstances he should not have the physis to cope with the other two. Hard to say if his ski was really good, if Bjoerndalen is in a slump atm or if Kruglov is approaching his "physical peak" right now (which would be bad for him ;) =too early)....

i got one more

Hallenbacher over Pinter @ 2.05

Hallenbacher was 10 sec ahead yesterday. he is nor brilliant, but has solid results lately. Pinter had a good start in the season, but yesterday was his first race after a 3 week lay-off due to illness. He was slower than Hallenbacher already yesterday. today on the longer distance the recent illness should have even more affect.

Lol - could go with Greis over Bjoerndalen @2,06 and Bjoerndalen vs field @2,44 at pinny. Almost a sure bet - but only almost....

Chriscol, you got me on Hallenbarter now.

let s start the money machine again.
today Mass-Start

Girls:

Berger over Jonson @1.69
it s a lean for now, Berger won yesterday and is in great running form as well as shooting. i am looking for some input on Jonson as she is the unknown here.it s her first start in ANtholz. that can be good because she is rested, but it can be bad, because most of the athlets struggled in the first race in Antholz (the Sprint for most) with running, siply feeling the height. Also she could feel the influence of a past illness (poor speculation).i just think it s strange that she skipped the first 2 races...does anybody know the reason??

Neuner over Bailley @1.67
i dont care if Neuner keeps on missing the target...she is so much faster than everybody else and with Bailey also not on her top this should be a winner if she can stay withing 5 errors.

Henkel over Bailley @1.78

Henkel is simply good right now. the monkey of winning this season came of her back yesterday. she is faster than Bailley and proably shooting better

Bucholz over Gregorin @ 1.84
Not sure here as i am not sure what i ll get from Gregorin, but Bucholz is in a very steady form around 10th place which should have a good chance.

Berger - ROgstadt @ 1.57

Same storry here as with Jonson...any input on Rogstadt is welcome.

THx to all
