Men:
One thing to learn from the girls race: shooting conditions seem real easy..that should give a slight advantage to the runners over the shooters..if the girls can go with 1 mistake, i dont see the guys doing more.
that being said it s probably an advantage for the germans and norwegians over the russians.
at first look i liked Bjorndalen @ 2.38 over Greis as i think he will close down the gap, but looking deeper into it:
They are both on the same level in running ( i expect the norway skis being prepared better today), so a 41 sec advantage means actually a 2 shot advantage for Greis. that is to bring them on level..with Greis on improoving form to get 2 shot @ 1.70 even over Bjorndalen looks tempting.would like to have some opinion on that.
i also like Graf over Roesch @ 1.84
Graf is 26 sec ahead, but was shooting 0 to roesch's 1..so in effect they are on the same level in running. that leaves me with a 1 shot advantage @ 1.84..i like it (also Graf already finished 3rd in a persuit this year, so he is capable)
Wolf over Ferry @1.70...it s loosing value, so i am not so sure anymore.
two good guys here, but Wolf as mentioned yesterday seems to come in form recently. he is 15 sec ahead of Ferry and had 1 error more than ferry. so in effect he was about 40 sec faster in the track. he also missed just his last shot yesterday, so i dont think there is much between them shooting wise. with the running advantage plus the head start i see at least a 2 shot cussion for him, so even at 1.70 a good play IMO
