Tough break on Clemson. Between some non-calls on Nebraska holding all day and the Clemson QB's IQ being less than his shoe size, it's kind of amazing we were even in that one all the way to the end.

I also took no score in the first 7:30 of PSU-USC today at +145. Two very good defenses take the stage, and I think it'll take a while before the offenses figure things out. I've been taking bad beats left and right lately though, so fade away...

7* Cincinatti Bearcats -2.5 -110

I want to watch the Rose Bowl so I will make this wirteup short. I have been capping this game and the Rose Bowl for over 6 hours today so the writeup does not reflect lack of effort.

Mistake-prone Tyrod Taylor looked great in the ACC Champ Game vs. BC. But this is a new animal he is facing. Cincy is so WELL-COACHED, so balanced overall, too good of a team with a HUGE amount of motivation in this BCS Game. Brian Kelly is one of the top up and coming coaches in the country and Frank Beamer's Hokies are athletic but undisciplined. Saw these guys last year riding around on Jet Skis, leading up to a loss to Kansas.

Cincy has been the thorn in everyones side this year. They were able to slow Pat White, and I see no reason why they cant slow the inexperienced Taylor. Bearcats defense is also very good, and Virginia Tech has averaged 22 points per game.

Huge, huge, huge, game for Cincy, cant stress that motivation enough, while Va Tech is playing in this game for the 2nd year in a row. Va Tech has been know for playing down to the level of competition, especially vs. up and coming teams like East Carolina. This Cincy team is very good and will give the inconsistent, undisciplined Hokies all they can handle tonight.

My Line, Cincy -7.

Hey Box, Happy New Year.... Can't get a break so far in this year's bowl games.... Nice calls though as you are grinding out profit even though nothing has gone your way so far.... Solid, very solid....

On the BC, I live up in Boston and that freshman qb is god awful, would have told you if I could have... He can't read a defense or make a play...

Coach Jags kept running his pro style offense and this kid is not ready to do it...He should have put in more spread/option offense for Davis to run as right now he is more suited to it.... BC never took advantage of his skills at all...

If BC had Crane at qb yesterday they would have blown out Vandy, they are not very good and it took a total bad luck fluke ball hitting a blocker on a punt return for them to win.

I don't know about the o/u but I would say just the opposite. It looks to easy to take USC given the fact that it is a home game for them and USC is one of the teams that is a public favorite. Not to mention more often than not, USC beats the big 10 team that plays out there

Thanks Box. Is that 7 units on a game that is only going to cover by 4.5 according to your prediction? Seems very risky to me.

Thanks for posting your plays, always enjoy your write ups.

Good to see you like Cinci as strong as I do. They really pumped to make this bowl game and will show they deserve it. Let's hit a nice run! :toast:

Should have won that Clemson play. The PAC-10 officials did it again.

This Penn State play is SHOT. They have come out and laid an absolute egg. Stupid penalties, poor playcalling, no adjustments on defense, and now they have given up. Lining up offsides and not getting that sack fumble killed momentum and killed how this game would play out. Now it has snowballed out of control and PSU is showing no fight. USC is NOT this much better than Penn State. Very uncharacteristic first half for Penn State and now they have shown no heart and this one is over. USC is feeling it, Mark Sanchez looks like Joe Montana, and PSU will lay down 2nd half just like they did to close out the 1st half. Half assed defensive effort once the Trojans took a good lead. I dont expect that to end. Trojans get the ball first I believe to start the half and Pete Carroll has no intentions of slowing down. He is a cocky kind of guy and he will try and blow them out, run it up and make a statement here as he was the guy who ripped the BCS earlier this year and wanted a playoff system. The home crowd is loving it and Carroll will deliver for them. Plus, they have so many backs that split carries and so many 5* recruits that need their touches, need their National TV touchdowns. Everyone will get fed.

3* 2nd Half USC -4.5 -110

I am going damn near all in on this one Box.
USC should win this 2h by at least 2 TDs.
