BetCBS and their fanciful explanation.

Let me explain a few things

This is not true. I would never blatantly lie. You must remember that when in the wimbledon rounds there are 128 or 64 matches? Anyways its alot. I remember #s as best as any human can but i dont write anything down other than the actual bets i place. Railbird confirmed he found +500 and if you ever check betbrain you will realize that there are always several books have have very favorable lines. Go check www.betbrain.com tonight and look at any match. Just about any match will have huge differences in line and often time 25-50c+ scalps but the books are generally not reputable.

When Pinnacle had Clijsters -500 in the french open semi's i got Clijsters at -420 at another book that was reputable. Was this a bad line?

I generally place the best line that the best reputable book has to offer. So if oly is +120 and pinn is +119 and betsba is +165. I will play oly because i will get paid (this is ambiguous example). If i called every time i played the best line i would be on the phone all day! It's not realistic to call when you find a favorable line.

If the line is ridiculously off +800 instead of +400 i would call. But as stated previously in this thread on NBA games where its LAL vs Toronto you can find -1300/+1600 type scalps between major books so who is to know which line is bad?

Another thing is Max(dave's lackey) said was that the kid move the line "the wrong way"

So if the line was supposed to be +300/-500 and he had it at +600/-800 we can assume the line was +450/-650 right before the move.

I think i should at least get paid that +450 minimum on my bet.

A friend of mine from Chicago has this same problem. Areef- I can put you in contact with him if need be.

The way he explained this to me this morning - he bet this dog for like $300 and the line did not change. So he took another 700 on it. He tried to call them to make sure of it but nobody answered the phone.

Message to CBS!

Take tennis off the board!!!! You are a sitting duck!!! Lines can and do change and if your software cannot change you will get blasted again if line changes happen.

If you pay +300 on half the bet you are really only paying +150 odds. That is in no way fair!

Why ruin a reputation over a squabble like this? You cannot book tennis by hanging the lines and going to bed!

Pay these players a fair price - they say +500 was available - you said you would have accepted +300 all night. Split the difference - Pay them +400 on their full bets.

At least you salvage some of your reputation. Otherwise, lets set the meter and watch a ton of postup going out the window which took you a long time to build up and keep even during a baseball season.

Is there anybody out there who took the favorite in this particular matchup at betcbs? If so, did they adjust the line and refund a portion of your wager TWO HOURS AFTER IT WAS GRADED? I really wonder? I can see them doing this now to help with the spin control.

The Eurobet +650 odds were for Trebles minmum (trust me, I checked ). That's also why I didn't include the +650 in my cross-section of closing prices, since it would be like comparing apples to oranges.

As you may or may not know, Eurobet have two separate websites, each with different odds and betting options.

Eurobet.com targets the European continent - this is the site whose odds show up on Tip-Ex. Their tennis odds are for Trebles Minimum. Because of this, they offer higher odds than they would for Singles. As a matter of fact, they are currently hanging Nadal -167 (1.60) versus Childs - this would be an 18 cent scalp (2.5%) versus 5 Dimes +185 Childs, but alas, the Nadal -167 is Trebles Minumum, and the -167 is what shows on Tip-Ex. That's why it's misleading - you can't make a Singles bet at these odds, you can only use these odds in a parlay.

Eurobet.co.uk (Coral) is their site that targets the UK market. Their tennis odds are for Singles & Up. Currently their odds on Nadal are -225 (4/9 or 1.444). As you can see, there is a BIG difference between this and the Trebles only odds.

Just wanted to clear this up.

Well I finally read this post & I'm disgusted. I'm sure there were some 500+ lines out there as lines are always all over the place in tennis from what I've seen.

I will be withdrawing everything from this book after this incident as this is an unacceptable practice by them & they deserve to get the heat for it.
