Are you still having your posts reviewed or are they going through alright?

As for units, they could be worth any amount depending on the person wagering. One man's unit could be $10 while another's could be $1000. There is no standard for the value of a unit.

Posting is going through now, thanks.

Is there a way to save a specific thread or mark it like a bookmark or favorite file, so i don't have to search through the myriad threads to find the one i want? Not a complaint, i dig the site. Just curious.

VA, you can just bookmark\"favorite" it in IE or whatever browser you're using like any other site.

This clown is well known at other forums as 'Tha Godfather',
he's done nothing but get caught time & time again lying.
He's just some young punk wannabe tout that is clueless.
He's been trying out so many different f*ckin systems that
fail miserably that you couldn't possibly keep track of it all.
He calls them "systems" anyway, they're really just garbage.
This idiot is just trying to compete with another idiot, (IC).
These guys are both a couple of scamming losers, that's all.
Fair warning to you youngsters, don't give him any money.

hey I just started gambling and will be the first to admit that I know nothing about it.

But here goes my question anyways

Do you think it makes sense to do like multiple parlays with the same teams but in the 2nd or third parlay you choose some teams to cover that you didn't in your first?

if you do a 4 team parlay it pays 11:1 and if you do three of them with different results for "insurance"

is that a common practice?

And also would you recommend money line parlays at all?

I'm not a parlay junkie or anything I was just wondering....75-80% of my wagers are straight wagers...I like to fool around with parlays and stuff every now and then

TopDawg24:

First off, I'd like to welcome you to the RX. As to your question, I will provide you my opinion only. Many will feel otherwise, but I try to be straight with my answers. I am not an advocate of parlays whatsoever, whether they be with straights or moneylines. Whether it is common practice to attempt to provide yourself with "insurance" in your parlays, the answer "no" not common because parlays are a less common play. My advice to you would be to stick to straight wagering and try to grind out a profit. It's hard enough to pick a winner let alone hit multiple winners. I know this is probably not the answer you wanted but I am strongly opposed to parlays of any kind.

A "Pick" means "Even". The team is neither giving points (-) nor getting points (+).

Greetings sir,

I have been experimenting with ways on how to keep track of all my bets. Type, price, payout, teams, etc. Do you keep meticulous tracking in an excel sheet? If so, what kind of details are important to keep track of. I'd like to track my betting trends and profits or losses. Thanks.

Using Excel is an excellent way of keeping track of your betting history. Start with the date, team(s), type of wager (i.e. side, total, halves, quarters, etc.), amount wagered, win or loss, profit or loss, and cumulative bankroll total.

Hey regarding excel tracking...I do that but instead of every single wager I just do total wins and losses for the day

because on saturdays and sundays are the only times i bet (football)....I bet some and then re invest the winnings into later games or halves etc...

so is it ok to just do like a beginning bankroll of the day....wagers...total wins for the day...total losses...then profit for the day and ending bankroll for the day and then a running profit or bankroll too

thanks

Sure, it is absolutely OK. The most important thing is that you do have some form of tracking so you not only know how you are doing monetarily, but what are your strengths and weaknesses in the type of wagers you make. There is more then one way to track your wagers. Not tracking them leads to lack of discipline.
