Hi Ted; I appreciate your site. I have been using one of your sponsored off shore clients and its been good. I've really kicked butt in College football but I'm avg. at best to terrible in the pro's. I want to raise the stakes a little and be more involved in betting. Are there reputable pay sites that have good track records on what teams to bet on? My friend joined Adam Meyers site but had a terrible experience and a big losing streak on it so he quit it.
Is it best to just bet gradually, look at other points of view and just grind it out, or to actually join a site of supposed experts. thanks!
First of all, please accept my apologies for the delay in responding. Mondays and Tuesdays are my days off. Welcome to the the RX. Nice to see a another new member from Northern California's Wine Country. Glad to hear you have been enjoying our site and are using one of our sponsored offsore books and have had positive results. Also, glad to hear you did well in College Football this past year. As for the NFL, you're far from the first bettor that has struggled with the NFL. Not an easy sport to beat.
Now as to your question regarding Sports Services. By and large, the Sports Services industry is loaded with far more bad handicappers then good ones. Many just want your money and can't handicap a sport better then throwing a dart. However, there are legitimate services such as the Gold Sheet (
www.goldsheet.com) that have been in business for 50 years now. That being said, however, over the long haul, no service will have continuous winning records year after year. They will go on streaks just like anyone else. The information provided at a site like the Gold Sheet is valuable but better used to improve your own handicapping skills. You need not pay for a service as you can receive many of the top services selections daily right here in our RX Service Plays Forum via the link below. It is especially busy during football season.

As to your final question, Sports Services are not made up of experts by any means. These are not professional gamblers. As I said, they make their money from getting clients. To be successful in this industry, you have to look long term. This is a marathon and not a sprint. Bet gradually and grind through each season. Establish a bankroll for the season, and bet a small percentage of the bankroll on each wager. If your bankroll, grows 20%, increase your wagers a little more. This way you can continue to compound your bankroll if you are selecting winners. If your bankroll drops 20%, reduce your wagers a little. This approach protects your bankroll from the ups and downs and keeps you being disciplined and not chasing.
I hope this information will prove valuable to you and thank you once again for registering with the RX and enjoy the site and best of luck to you.
