live and let live

My quality of life is not going to go down because two women or men want to live together as a union/marriage.

I don't see a problem with polygamy either, as long as no one is forced into it. People need to mind their own business.

I would offer no opinion.

Its a sideshow issue that the liberals will sidetrack you on everytime and win.

Issues we should care about when voting:

1. Real Jobs
2. Debt
3. Energy policy

A woman from South London has married her dog in a bizarre ceremony in Croatia, following a failed marriage to a human man. Amanda Rodgers married her dog Sheba in front of 200 people in March, and subsequently appeared on ITV's "This Morning" to discuss the matter, the Daily Mirror reported.
Rodger's, 47, explained: "‘Sheba had been in my life for years, making me laugh and comforting me when I was feeling low,’ she said. "I couldn’t think of anything more I’d need from a life partner."
"She was two weeks old and she was new to the world - but I fell in love with her," Amanda said, when asked if they fell in love at first sight.

"I knew that we were meant to be." The ceremony ended with a kiss between the pair. Rodgers said it was the perfect way to mark what Sheba means to her.

"There are different kinds of love — my love for Sheba is very deep. We have a deep connection."

TV show host Phillip Schofield asked her: "It's a big step to go from caring for your dog to marrying it - why did you get there?"

"Yeah, I suppose you're right," she replied. "There are different kinds of love - my love for Sheba is very deep. We have a deep connection."

Schofield seemingly had to hold back his laughter to ask: "Do you think she knows?"

"Yes, and I am totally her b****," Amanda replied sharply.

This has nothing to do with gay marraige. You back tracked the last time you tried to compare beastiality/animal marriage to gay marriage. It is even dumber than acebb comparing knife and gun deaths. Be better than this.

the basic right of 2 human beings to have a union where they receive the same financial, business and adoptive rights as anyone else is protected by the constitution. it is a civil right. it is illegal and immoral to discriminate against them for these rights. sanity and civil rights is finally being recognized, finally.
if you argue this, you are retarded. you don't have to like it. those that don't are mainly religious nut jobs and ignorant bigots. religion has no place in public policy. that is why our country was founded. if you really compare gays and animals with the slippery slope theory, you must ask yourself one question. why does my mind think about beastiality so much???? no normal human would think of that.

i will say i hate the way the militant gays have gotten so much media attention for other reasons not relating to civil rights. every tv show MUST have a higher ratio of gays than the 3-7% of the population they represent. it is insane. there is a difference between having the same rights and trying to convince people it is a normal behavior. something that 95% of the people don't do can't be mainstream. but they have the same rights. as far as school. at the appropriate time, kids could learn the TRUTHS about it, not opinions about it. don't let your ignorance spread to your kids.

There is so much bullshit and ignorance in just these few sentences, it's hard to know where to start. No one in this thread is arguing that gays shouldn't have the same financial rights as heteros, which is why you'll see the anti-gay folks arguing for civil unions. So, most of your argument is one big straw-man that can be flushed down the toilet.

Your bullshit about calling anyone against gay marriage a bigot is an ad hominem that also can be flushed down the toilet.

"religion has no place in public policy. that is why our country was founded." This is the dumbest statement of all. Do you realize that the Bible was *the* public school text book for decades? Do you realize that it was against the law in many states for anyone to work for the government and not sign a document affirming that they were a Christian? I know, you were educated in the liberal public school system in America, where you can graduate now barely being able to read or put a sentence together (see the quoted post above for an example).

Gay marriage is not a civil right, which is why there were no gay marriages in this country for 200+ years, and why Clinton signed into law the defense of marriage act.

One more thing, bestiality has only one "a' dumb ass.

What's even funnier, is you have Justin Cruise prancing in, calling the above post "game, set, match." ROFL. Comedy Gold.

What is funny, is that you think that your Judo-Christian views are what everyone should live by. Congrats, you got him on spelling a word wrong. Is it the constant sound of butt-fucking or your own insecurities or like so many Christian missionaries, it is your job to spread the word of God. Instead of being so obsessed with shoving your own pov on others (yes, the argument can be made for the otherside), afford everyone equal rights. You act like two homosexuals engaging in the act of marriage diminishes your own union. If that is how you feel, then I hope you and your wife were virgins when you met, because if not, it must have sucked to not follow the bible and also have to know that someone left a semen sample before you.

I didn't start this thread asking for opinions. Someone else did, and I gave mine - but yet I'm shoving it down people's throats?

And, since you asked, my wife was a virgin when we got married. I was not, thanks for asking.

the founding fathers warned about forming a country around religion. the fact christians rammed it down kid's throats is meaningless. i don't think you know what a civil right is. if you did, you couldn't possibly argue. hetero's are doing a bang up job in the marriage business. 50% divorce rate and the trauma passed on to the kids, soaring domestic violence, rampant child neglect, physical, verbal, and sexual abuse of kids. using the kids as a pawn during divorce. all great stuff. maybe hetero's should clean up their back yard before condemning gay marriage. it's like hitler conducting an anger management group.

how did i know a guy like you could spell bestiality???? you are obsessed with it just like all the christian nut jobs. so you think schools should use religious beliefs as their guiding force???? the founding fathers didn't think so. what religion???? you get to choose???? so something is not a civil right because it has not been recognized for a long time??? gays would have been killed if they brought it up years ago. now is the time to point out the obvious. i suppose slavery wasn't a civil right issue because it wasn't recognized for a long time???? you are in over your head with me.

Many people don't want to have to think about race or Islam or homosexuality or climate science, any more than they do about economics or foreign policy. It's all rather complicated and boring. When a society has default positions, it relieves you of the obligation to devote any time to the matter - time one could be spending on more important questions like whether one of the Kardashians is pregnant. I'll add that the reality is that many people (many, many posters here) simply can't devote any critical thought to these matters due to mental deficiencies. Thinking "homophobe" is responsive is a crystal clear example.

You have quite literally no idea what the people who founded America believed.

Even though they wrote a lot of it down.
