Clip bring up a good point about paying for a service and winning percentage. i never thought about that but it is very true.

Also if you are not a tout why have that name and avatar?

I agree with ClipJoint about finding the right service with the highest winning percentage over the long haul, IF you are someone who purchases picks. If you don't purchase picks then you have nothing to worry about.

As far as the name and Avatar are concerned....Look a little deeper.

today, the sports bettor has choices with the internet and good gambling forums like this one

for the reasons stated above, how can you not get the inescapable conclusion that touts are useless!

ok i have a question for THE TOUTHOUSE

why should the rx forum, have touts here at the RX

i know the rx is the number one gambling forum on the internet.
Why does it have to be the number one tout forum. also why should you or any other tout here , profit from this site.. i feel that is just wrong. in my view, if you are the number one gambling forum no one in here should need the services of a tout

i would love to see the owners of this site charge you guys a fee to post in the site promotion room

or follow these suggestion from another poster

Touts can ONLY POST in the site promo forum without posting a record.
Touts can ONLY POST in the Tracker Forum according to the rules in there.
Touts CANNOT post in the Sports forums.

that is the best suggestion i have seen on this site

Here are the Questions you posed and here are my replies.

Question: Why should the rx forum have touts here at the RX?
Answer: Beats me...Lot of Solid Cappers Here.

Question: Why does it have to be the number one TOUT fourm?
Answer: It doesn't

Question: Why should you or any other tout profit from this site?
Answer: Not profiting anything. I agree with charging touts to advertise, good idea.

Any more questions.

Thanks,

I get the feeling i am in a Philosophy class with this topic. Bottom line is most touts lose and if you need your proof go to Consensusonline.com>>>they have a ton of services there with their records and tell us how many rpofitable services you see there. I for one, am glad they exist because they are the perfect fade, especially on MNF and big TV games.

RDC-3 Thanks for the Reply,

Bottom line is most gamblers lose. Consistently stating the obvious helps nobody.

Touthouse, I have used services (which I consider different than touts) in the past. In all honesty, I have found a few that were extremely respectable. I just believe I am a big enough player to make it worth my while to make up the cost of the services. But for the record, the reputable services I have had dealing with in the past were Mel Stewart Sports (Excellent Handicapper, but very pricey), Tony George (above average) and Donn Wagners group (also above average). These three have always been repectable, didnt win all the time, but never promised 10-0 days either.

I agree with Dubpoet, What's your point?

The Whole point of this thread is not to establish who is a good "tout" and who is a bad "tout". It is simply to establish that the handicapping industry in general should not be put on the hotseat constantly as it is for people simply trying to make a living at what they enjoy.

TH unfortunately it always will be so long as some people misrepresent their records and give out both sides of games. Just as the offshore industry will be under scrutiny because of stiff books and scams.

Thanks for the reply mrhognuts,

Frankly, there is nothing in particular that i want to hear. I am certainly aware that some of the "cowboys" on this forum have been around the block a couple of times. In Turn, that makes it the perfect place to be spoken about. Wouldn't you agree.

Good Luck

Yes, I am looking for a little exposure.....I am looking to expose the fact the the handicapping service industry in general has a bad wrap due to a lack of information and people constantly bashing hard working individuals that do nothing more than provide a service that people can "choose" or "not choose" to purchase.

Good Luck

You should really do your homework before you defend an industry.

If you spent half the effort trying to expose touts as you do promoting them, even you would be disturbed with what you would find.
