I'm with Clip. Any decent tout gets monitored by a legit publication. Never send money to anyone who doesn't.

So you are saying that IF you were to purchase handicappers selections, you would tend to sway more to a handicapper that is publicly documented?

Interesting, Many services that are publicly criticized constantly are documented by a third party.

Because they are documented losers...very few that are documented win over the long haul.

Makes sense too...why would you need (or want) to sell your information if you can win consistently?

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

Why, because there are buyers.........Simple as that.

So show me a documented long term winner...

I know guys that win, but there is no chance in hell they would want hundreds of others betting the line up.

Not trying to convince anyone of anything. Just stating that if you are going to be critical of a sports handicapping service of being unfair, unethical or a scam it would be nice to be provided detailed reasoning and proof of any accusations made against them.

As I have stated earlier there are "bad apples" and there is "proof" in the past of sports handicapping services being involved in unethical practices. I believe however that this is not an accurate depiction of the industry as a whole.

Thanks,
BigRon

Personally would not pay for a service. But if I did it would be a documented one. And Ron, I would disagree. Think there are a lot more scam touts, then legit.

As stated before, Records have nothing to do with this conversation. All Handicappers, Professional and Amateur, etc go through winning and losing streaks. This fact is undisputed

The fact is that a professional handicapper or "tout" service should not be negatively criticized simply for what he does for a living.

Even then, what most people (not you Judge) don't take into consideration is a "pay service" would have to hit much higher than 55% because you need to factor in their fee with the net winners.

If you are paying for picks and the capper provides you 55% winners (very solid), depending on their fee, you are more than likely losing money.

As I respect your opinion, I would employ you to prove that most handicapping services are unethical.

As I cannot prove they aren't, I would believe the same is true for you.

That is no reason that they should constantly be on the hotseat. If someone wants to sell their selections and there are people who are happy to purchase them.

THEN WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

I can assure you I can prove almost all tout services lose and mislead their potential clients which is unethical.

I have also been in the industry and benefited from many unethical tout services.

You can't prove they aren't ethical???

:lolBIG:

How hard have you tried? I can assure you that it won't take much effort if that is your intention.

If you spent as much time trying to prove handicappers unethical as you have spent typing in this thread, you would already have 10 stories to share.

Gambling is an addiciton...desperate gamblers who actually believe the hype and LIES these handicappers use to sell their picks get buried.

It is like saying you should not fault the drug dealers for supplying drugs...they are just trying to make a living and there are plenty of buyers.

Thanks ClipJoint,

You Stated, "I can assure you I can prove almost all tout services lose and mislead their potential clients which is unethical."

No problem at all. Just like I don't have a problem warning posters about touts.

There is nothing wrong warning posters about certain touts, I have done so myself, As I have stated before. Just as long as you can back up what you say.

I don't have any interest in digging up info and taking time out of my day to document what is already common knowledge.

If you would like to email me and swap stories, I would be more than happy to chat.
