(Washington, D.C.) -- The PBS program, To The Contrary with Bonnie Erbé, is pleased to offer, free of charge, DVD copies of its award-winning, documentary-style coverage of how the environmental movement dropped population from its agenda and how population growth is affecting the US environment.

Watching this series is a great way to learn why this incredibly important environmental issue is no longer covered by mainstream US media, or discussed as an environmental issue by federal officials. The series won the 2009 Population Media Center’s award for “Best TV Program.”

The "To The Contrary: Population & the Environment" series provides accurate, fact-based, historical coverage of how the environmental movement morphed from its original stance on population stabilization to its current state today, when U.S. population is no longer an issue taken seriously or addressed in any fashion by the U.S. environmental movement.

Our goal is to educate people who understand the importance of US population growth and its singular impact on the world environment, about these changes.

In the intervening years, US population has risen from under 200 million to 310 million persons and is projected to reach 450 million by mid-century.

White Open-Borders Activists Accuse Anti-Amnesty Black Group of Being Like the Klan

I have grown accustomed to well-funded open-borders groups sending hecklers to call me a "white supremacist" every place I speak.
But I was still a little surprised when I spoke to a Black grassroots group recently to have all the African Americans there also accused. It now looks like pro-amnesty groups are willing to label as racist anybody who advocates for less immigration.
It kind of makes me laugh. But it really is despicable, because the ridiculous efforts to silence our side are not the work just of fringe activists but of the largest pro-amnesty organizations of America. These groups not only spread the same lies and libelous characterizations, but they orchestrate the McCarthyism tactics of intimidation and marginalization.
BLACK AND WHITE TAXPAYERS FIND COMMON GROUND
I was one of five panelists at a meeting of People For Change, a grassroots group in Prince George's County, Maryland -- probably the premier majority-Black county in America. Three of the speakers were Black and I was one of two White speakers. The moderator and leader of People For Change was Black, as are most members of that organization. Also present were members of a mostly-White grassroots organization called Help Save Maryland.
All of us were agreed in our concern for what largescale illegal immigration was doing to costs for taxpayers and to services for the needy in Prince Georges County and in the whole state of Maryland.
Our calls for mandatory verification to keep illegal aliens out of jobs, and for the use of the SAVE system to keep them out of most public benefits, drew enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
BLACK AMERICANS WHO STAND UP FOR JOBLESS BLACKS OVER ILLEGAL ALIENS ACCUSED OF ACTING LIKE THE KKK
When the panelists were finished and the floor microphone was opened for questions, a middle-aged white woman stepped up and said:

I have always wanted my whole life to see the unity of Black and White workers.

It seemed like she was really impressed to see such a rare display of Black and White solidarity, comity and integration that was evident in the room that night. But she quickly continued:

But this thing is more like a Klan rally.

The shocked audience groaned and then jeered her attempt to make a pro-illegal-immigration speech, finally allowing her to ask the panel a pointed question.
A number of Black citizens expressed amazement that they had for the first time in their lives been compared to the Ku Klux Klan. "I don't think I've ever been to a Klan rally before," one African-American man deadpanned after giving his name at the microphone and before asking his question.
Interspersed among the citizens asking questions about how to reduce the illegal population in the county, several more white women took to the microphone to accuse the Black citizens in the audience and the leadership of conspiring with the worst dregs of American society against the oppressed undocumented peoples of their community.
Despite the attempt by the white open-borders women to use race to divide the Americans in the audience that night, I saw no sign that any Black or White citizen grew any less resolute about their common cause to fight illegal immigration -- and to fight the local government efforts to encourage and reward illegal immigration.
Perhaps the most popular panelist was a Black woman who was fired from her county job for refusing to break the law to give unsanctioned benefits to illegal aliens.
Also, a big crowd pleaser was dynamic Washington DC mayoral candidate Leo Alexander who said that Black Americans owe no apology to anybody for saying that the skyrocketing unemployment among fellow Black citizens has a higher priority claim than the needs of illegal foreign workers.
As strange as was the whole encounter, I have to say that it fits with nearly 20 years of experience I have had in which Black and Hispanic Americans who oppose illegal immigration come under the most withering attacks by the high-immigration activists. Even though Black and Hispanic workers are suffering by far the worst unemployment and are most directly affected by high immigration, it continues to take a lot of courage for U.S. citizens within these communities to speak up for themselves on immigration issues. The predominantly white high-immigration advocates' ridicule and condemnation of Black and Hispanic opponents of high immigration is unrelenting.
My summary of the evening would start with the opening sentence of the open-borders agitator: "I have always wanted my whole life to see the unity of Black and White workers." But my second sentence would be: "And I saw it at the immigration forum in Prince George's County."

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is announcing protests across America to be conducted on April 15, 2010 in conjunction with existing Tea Party events in protest of the current push for Amnesty legislation in Washington and as a counter measure to the 'March For America' marches held nationally on March 21 by bill sponsor Luis Gutierrez.

"Despite the fake polls, bought and paid for by the Open Borders Lobby groups, the truth remains that 80% of Americans oppose Amnesty for illegal aliens and turning millions of illegals into voters would have a catastrophic effect on America," said William Gheen of ALIPAC. "We will be sending tens of thousands of people out to support Tea Party events on April 15 to properly represent public opposition to illegal immigration and Amnesty for illegals."

ALIPAC helped build the initial success of Tea Party events in April and July 2009 by leading a coalition of over 20 immigration enforcement groups behind the effort.

On November 14, 2009, ALIPAC directed "Tea Parties Against Amnesty" which rapidly organized protests in over 50 American cities and towns successfully pushing Congressman Luis Guitierrez back from his original dates to file his Amnesty bill.

SUNDAY (3/21) - Day 3, the pro-amnesty organizers will host their rally on the National Mall in Washington D.C., and we'll be there. We'll provide a webcast of the day's events on our homepage. Look for video leading to the event on our website early next week.
MONDAY (3/22) - Day 4, it's our National Call Campaign, so check your Action Board for new phone notes with talking points. The pro-amnesty supporters will be walking the halls of Congress urging Members to pass an amnesty. So It's very important to make these phone calls and have the office phones ringing during their visit. We'll also provide coverage on our website of an immigration panel that Roy will take part in, educating Congressional staffers.
Our message will be simple. Congress should focus on putting 25 million Americans back tofull-time work, not offering an amnesty to 12 million illegal aliens, most of whom are in the U.S. workforce. Make sure they hear our message - stay tuned throughout the upcoming week to see what you can do!

Like most of the NumbersUSA staff, I've spent the past week watching video of balloon bearing mimes and listening to those annoying whistles. When our Local Power and Legislative Teams began planning "S.T.O.P. Amnesty in 4 Days", we really didn't know what to expect when we decided to produce a live webcast of Sunday's March for America. But when the organizers found out we were coming, they did everything possible to bring down our broadcast.
Roy went to the National Mall armed with facts and figures speaking for the 25 million American workers looking for a full-time job. The March's organizers were scared, but it wasn't Roy they were afraid of. It was YOU! Roy alone can't frighten the pro-amnesty groups, but the 940,000 of YOU can and did!
While 60,000 people were marching on Washington last weekend, YOU sent 149,216 faxes to Congress. YOU made personal visits to the offices of more than 400 Members of Congress. YOU made more than 8,000 telephone calls to Washington on Monday. And 90,000 of YOU watched our webcast on Sunday. (See Roy's blog for the full recap.)
Those numbers are amazing, and if it weren't for you, the pro-amnesty supporters wouldn't have spent so much time and resources in trying to shut us down last week!

If you know the facts, you will answer your own question: Hitler was selected by the people because they wanted to believe in the promises he made. The United Stated elected Obama by a majority of the people because we wanted to believe in the promises he made.

Fact: The majority of the German people were not members of the Nazi party. They didn't want to kill Jews or anyone. The Germans feared their government, who would murdered you in your bed for speaking out against them.

Fact: The American people chose Obama as their leader. A year later, be is making decisions that in no way reflect the wants, needs and best interests of the people. We can't undo the election, although many have said there are grounds to impeach him. That is another subject.

Fact: The American people choose members of Congress to "represent" and speak for them...to express what the people want...to be their voice. The fact that this is no longer the case in Washington is the problem. Politicians are out to further their own agenda. Pelosi is trying to push amnesty so as not to loose the 20 votes of the Hispanic Caucus. Obama wants to make over 10+ million illegal immigrants into citizens, because that will give him 10+ million new votes in November. Does he care what this situation is already doing to further worsen the American economy? Not to mention the fact, as I did in a previous post, that the American public overwhelmingly disagrees with him? Obviously not! (Anyone who would like to challenge this by saying how much illegal immigrants "contribute" to society, has not read our own government statistics proving different. Not to mention the affect the the excess crime has on our communities, i.e. over a million sex crimes, that we know about, wouldn't have occurred if these illegal immigrants weren't here.)

In the case of the Germans, had "the will of the people," been carried out, there would have been no Holocaust.

Do You Suspect Local Employers of Hiring Illegal Aliens? Look Them Up On Our E-Verify List -- Then Act

You can put unemployed Americans back to work if you start using our database to pressure employers in your local area to use E-Verify.
Yes, you as an individual citizen.
You don't have to wait on Congress to pass the SAVE Act. Look for businesses that appear to be hiring illegal aliens, check our database and then start building the public shame that the business is keeping open the option to hire illegal aliens over U.S. workers.
We have the entire E-Verify database on our website. You can look up any business, non-profit or government to see if it is using E-Verify to ensure that jobs go to U.S. citizens and legal immigrants.

If a local employer is NOT using E-Verify, you can express your disappointment and begin a pressure campaign until the employer signs up.

Keep in mind that any employer who is not using E-Verify is at the least keeping the option open to be able to hire illegal foreign workers in the future -- and quite possibly is doing so now.

Only if the employer is using E-Verify can you know that there is a good faith effort to reserve scarce jobs for U.S. workers. The employers on this list are the patriot businesses.

We have the entire E-Verify database on our website. You can look up any business, non-profit or government to see if it is using E-Verify to ensure that jobs go to U.S. citizens and legal immigrants.

Just remember that most of the illegal aliens in your community are there because somebody not using E-Verify is giving them jobs.

You can make it socially unacceptable in your community to hire illegal aliens. You don't have to prove that the hiring takes place. You just have to prove that an employer isn't using E-Verify. We provide the proof. Then make the refusal to use E-Verify a sign of willingness to hire illegal aliens.

If you are an employer and are not yet signed up for E-Verify, please do so immediately so you can avoid the embarrassment of having your fellow NumbersUSA members targeting you. NumbersUSA has been using the system for years. It takes about a minute to run a new hire through the system. But either you or one of your employees will have to spend 3 or 4 hours at the beginning to get you registered. It is so worth it. Plus, don't you want to set an example?

Our website editor, Chris Chmielenski, notes that you should not make immediate assumptions if you don't at first find an employer in our database:

"Our search engine is very particular, so if you don't find a company, it doesn't necessarily mean they're not using E-Verify. For instance, food distributor FreshPoint is all one word, so they won't come up if you insert a space between the two words. Another common error could come up when searching for franchises. Your local McDonalds is likely owned and operated by a business group that is not located in your city, and they may not have the word 'McDonalds' in their title."

So what do you do?

You first phone, write or personally visit a business and note that you don't find them listed with DHS as using E-Verify to screen out illegal aliens. Ask them if they are listed under another name or is it true that they don't use E-Verify.

That is very civil and is a great way to open up the issue.

Focus on businesses you suspect of hiring illegal aliens. These are the ones that are really angering you, aren't they? Look up all of those and start contacting them. It won't take much for you to be sure they aren't using E-Verify. At that point, do all you can to publicize the apparent willingness of the business to employ illegal foreign workers instead of U.S. workers.

I called an Electrical Contractor in Englewood, CO, just south of Denver, E Light Electric, after I noticied they were not listed with Numbers E-Verify. I have tried this before the system was improved upon. It is excellent idea and very effective. I see more businesses with "We use E-Verify" signs. It is a marketing tool for the business. People who perform these useful checks on local companies might consider emails to their representatives in the state legislature and Congress reporting their findings. If all politics is local, information like this will have special weight. Most elected representatives don't feel good about crime in their own districts. Some congressmen might even call ICE and suggest an employment audit, and government agencies are extremely responsive to congressmen. Your good citizenship might mean that legal residents in your own community would be able to put food on the table and continue to have a house in which to keep the table. Even if a business says they use E-Verify it is a good idea to ask if they require their sub-contrators to use E-Verify too.Thanks for putting this info on Numberusa.It may not be a perfect system or weed out sub-contractors use of IA's but it is a start to recovering lost jobs IA's have stolen. You can also print up fliers on colored paper and start handing them out to suspected illegal workers and companies that say "ICE has been called on this company"!! and most illegals will not stick around because nobody knows when they will show up! Unfortunately, just because they are signed up, that don't mean they are using it on every new hire. Then you have to inform them on using the IMAGE Program to weed out current workers that are illegal. I applaud companies that use it but it makes it difficult to compete for work, so it is a must-do for OUR Federal government to do their sworn duty and enforce our immigration laws by mandating E-Verify for all jobs so we can get back 8 MILLION MUCH-NEEDED JOBS and reduce the flow to OUR E.R.'s where Obama admitted that "we pay for"!! Don't think "We The People" can do anything about Illegal workers, think again . We need to boycott all Companys that do not use E-Verify. I watched the stream on your talking to people marching for amensty. The person who you talked to from Idaho Falls, ID is back in the dark ages. Most of the sprinklers that are used for irrigation are automatic. There is very little sprinker pipe that needs to be moved by hand. Most of the potato shippers in the area hire illegals.
