That is for people who get chewing gum on a surface in public. Illegal immigrants end up in slave labor camps and no one ever hears from them again.

So if this was Singapore the ones that throw pop, beer bottles & cans on my street & old tires in my alley would be in serious trouble, beaten or have to work hard & that sounds like a good idea to me...

Friends of ALIPAC,

Our activists are working hard to assemble activism campaigns for the states. While we have more state lawmakers that oppose amnesty and illegal immigration than ever before, the illegals and their team are still trying to push their agenda.

We are already tracking important legislation designed to crack down on illegal immigration in 18 states!

So far, our side is progressing with legislation in 2011 in Kentucky, Colorado, Indiana, New York, West Virginia, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Oregon, Wyoming, Tennessee, Maryland, Mississippi, Texas, South Carolina, Nebraska, Michigan, and Virginia.

Are you ready to make the calls, and send the emails, faxes, and letters required to get your state on the list? Are you ready to focus and use ALIPAC strategies to pass bills that will put illegal immigrants on the run in your state in 2011? ...

Here is our tracking list. Please review our work and check back often. Please help us monitor the news in your state to add information to this area.

The Democratic leadership that has blocked the vast majority of bills designed to save American lives, property, and jobs in NC from illegal aliens has fallen.

For the first time in 150 years, Republicans will take control of both houses of the NC General Assembly on Wednesday Jan. 26.

Though the weather may be cold and wet, please join us on this historic day for an event on the Halifax Mall between 11am and 1pm.

We have a real chance now to pass a stronger version of Arizona's illegal immigration crackdown bill SB 1070 here in NC.

ALIPAC's speech and message at this event will be directed at all state efforts coast to coast!

Alert! State of the Union: Obama missed an opportunity to help American workers by reining in immigration! In his State of the Union speech, President Obama concentrated on creating jobs, but his failure to call for mandatory E-Verify usage or reduced levels of legal immigration show that these are just empty words. His call to "address the millions of undocumented workers who are now living in the shadows" was the same tired code for amnesty that has been rejected by Americans.

Our nation continues to import a million new legal immigrants every year, most of them working age. This does not include those who come on employment-based, "temporary" visas or the millions of illegal aliens who are already working here.

From: Roy Beck, President, NumbersUSA Date: Tuesday 25JAN2011 10:30 p.m. EST PRES. OBAMA'S IMMIGRATION COMMENTS WERE INSULT TO AMERICAN STUDENTS . . .

. . . AND CALLOUS DISREGARD FOR AMERICA'S UNEMPLOYED

Below is my overall assessment of the President's immigration-related comments in his State of the Union address.

Action 1
Click here to send NEW faxes to your 3 Members of Congress about your reaction to the President's approach to immigration and jobs.

http://www.numbersusa.com/faxes?ID=12666

These are not the faxes you sent earlier today.

After you send these new faxes, please go to your Action Buffet and:

(A) Send the new fax to the White House.

(B) Many of you also have VERY important faxes to send to your STATE legislators on extremely important immigration legislation in front of state legislatures NOW.

The rest of this alert are excerpts from my live blog tonight. Read the entire live blog at:

MY OVERALL ASSESSMENT OF THE IMMIGRATION PART OF THE ADDRESS

10:10 p.m. -- FINAL COMMENTS FROM ME FOR TONIGHT

Pres. Obama spent most of the speech talking about preventing U.S. jobs from going overseas to be done by foreign workers there, and then incongruously argued for increasing the number of foreign workers to take the scarce jobs we keep in the U.S.

Though mostly ambiguous, his statements on immigration seemed to put illegal foreign workers and foreign students first while keeping unemployed Americans in the shadows.

On trade, he said he would "only sign deals that keep faith with American workers, and promote American jobs" and yet on immigration policy he failed American workers, declining to ask for reductions in immigration even though 24 million American and legal immigrants can't find a full-time job. And he declined to ask for mandatory E-Verify to put millions of them back to work by opening up 7 million jobs held by illegal foreign workers. Instead, he vaguely asked for work permits for illegal aliens and an increase in foreign workers.

The disappointment over his comments was tempered by the lukewarm response from Members of Congress who seemed in no mood to follow his unpopular suggestions.

CONGRESSIONAL AUDIENCE RESPONSE TO THE IMMIGRATION COMMENTS

9:39 p.m. -- Well, now he's made the immigration statement and it was not a crowd pleaser. Very good sign.

It felt like there were a couple of major applause lines in these paragraphs, but there was no or very little response.

Here is what he said and how the folks reacted:

"One last point about education. Today, there are hundreds of thousands of students excelling in our schools who are not American citizens. Some are the children of undocumented workers, who had nothing to do with the actions of their parents. They grew up as Americans and pledge allegiance to our flag, and yet live every day with the threat of deportation. Others come here from abroad to study in our colleges and universities. But as soon as they obtain advanced degrees, we send them back home to compete against us. It makes no sense."

I feared we'd get a standing ovation on the "It makes no sense." But there was absolute silence in the Chamber!

In fact, "It makes no sense" was one of his repetitive lines through the speech and it usually got applause. But not this one. Maybe Congress has a little more interest in our American kids graduating from college than does the White House.,

"Now, I strongly believe that we should take on, once and for all, the issue of illegal immigration. I am prepared to work with Republicans and Democrats to protect our borders, enforce our laws and address the millions of undocumented workers who are now living in the shadows. "

Finally, some response. It was one of those slow rolling applauses that lasted a little while and then got quite a few people to stand. But a very short ovation.

So what were they applauding? Protect our borders? Enforce our laws? I hope so. If they were applauding "address the millions of undocumented workers who are now living in the shadows," they were applauding a very ambiguous generalization.

It is a very good sign that Obama KNOWS how extremely unpopular "amnesty" is. So, he didn't dare use the word. But note that he also didn't dare use the words "DREAM Act" or "legalization" or "comprehensive immigration reform."

He seemed afraid to even use the word "REFORM."

I find all that pretty delicious.

"I know that debate will be difficult and take time. But tonight, lets agree to make that effort. And lets stop expelling talented, responsible young people who can staff our research labs, start new businesses, and further enrich this nation. "

Well, here was the crazy talk that all those American kids who have graduated recently and are unemployed or underemployed don't deserve protection but instead should be forced to compete with tens of thousands of foreign students for these jobs.

There was a smattering of applause, but I saw NO standing. Nice!

As bad as the language of the President's text -- and as disappointing that he would not put unemployed Americans first by reducing immigration -- I am reassured that this section of the speech basically bombed.

A FEW MORE COMMENTS

9:28 p.m. -- What is the point of innovatiojn to produce jobs IN AMERICA and not OVERSEAS if we give many of those jobs to workers who we allow into our country from overseas?

Here's what he just said:

"Maintaining our leadership in research and technology is crucial to Americas success. But if we want to win the future if we want innovation to produce jobs in America and not overseas then we also have to win the race to educate our kids."

It is hard to take this statement seriously when we know that later in this speech he will call for us to keep foreign students when they graduate in our universities so they can compete with our own American grads for the jobs that he admits we are going to really have to struggle to keep in the U.S. vs. them being in other countries.

State Legislatures Recognize the Benefits of E-Verify
picture-202510_1283369949.jpg
Nearly half of all state legislatures aren't waiting on the President, who said nothing in his State of the Union address this week about keeping illegal aliens out of jobs that unemployed Americans want. In 14 states, legislators have already passed some form of mandatory E-Verify legislation. And another 16 states have legislation pending to require E-Verify or toughen existing laws.
Check out our map of states with E-Verify laws for more information. And watch for our Alerts when your state legislators need encouragement from you to move bills forward.
Read Roy's blog below about the main obstacle to full mandatory E-Verify in states and in Congress. That obstacle would be the business lobbyists, led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. If you want to be prepared to respond to the big arguments by the lobbyists (and their supporters) that E-Verify is too big of a burden on businesses, read Roy's blog.
He breaks down the amicus brief that NumbersUSA filed at the Supreme Court to oppose the Chamber of Commerce's contention that the federal law that created E-Verify never intended for states to be able to require its use.
In fact, the Congressional debate during the creation of E-Verify shows that lawmakers did not intend to prevent states from using E-Verify. They felt it was the best possible and least burdensome way to help employers root out illegal workers.
There was no room in his State of the Union speech for pledges to expand E-Verify, despite Pres. Obama using even more words this time than he did in last year's speech. But after a failed attempt to pass the DREAM Act during the lame-duck session last fall, Pres. Obama did have room for a plug for the amnesty bill during the education portion of his speech.
With the new Immigration Balance of Power in Congress, it'll be nearly impossible for the DREAM Act to pass in the next two years. Furthermore, how does the President explain to 24 million unemployed Americans, and the millions of college seniors who will be entering the job market in a few months, that his recovery plan includes granting millions of work permits to illegal aliens?
If you haven't had a chance, check out Roy's response to Pres. Obama's State of the Union address and then visit your Action Board and urge your Members of Congress to remove the jobs magnet by requiring the use of E-Verify for all employers.
THANKS,
Chris Chmielenski

Alert! Ask Senate to reduce H-1B visas and protect American jobs!Unemployment has been over 9 percent for 20 consecutive months, the longest such streak since records began in 1948, but Congress continues to bring in foreign workers to displace Americans. Employers complain that the annual cap of 65,000 "temporary" H-1B visas is insufficient, yet a new study from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) admits that the "total number of H-1B workers in the U.S. at any one time—and information about the length of their stay—is unknown."

Tell your Senators that we need to reduce the number of H-1B visas and keep track of the total number of workers who arrive on these visas and stay.

Thank you for getting in touch with me about H-1B visas.

The H-1B is a non-immigrant classification used for individuals who will be employed in the United States in a temporary, specialty occupation. H-1B visas allow skilled professionals to live and work in the United States for up to six years.

As Congress considers proposed immigration reform legislation, I will support provisions that ensure H-1B and other visa programs do not disadvantage US workers and are only used as a short-term solution to fill a true gap in the US workforce.

Thank you again for being in touch.

Sincerely,

Sherrod Brown

"The North Carolina Illegal Alien Crime Report" has been published for the month of January. 50 Word doc. pages full of the latest crimes by suspected and confirmed illegal aliens in North Carolina. Keep in mind, this is not all of the crimes, it's just a small sampling of the ones we found.

The latest report can be viewed here and it can be downloaded here.
Don't forget, you can also view the last two years of Crime Report archives here

We could literally fill an entire book every month with the numbers of crimes committed by illegal aliens in our state.

Friends of ALIPAC,

It is very important that you constantly monitor and take active steps to support immigration enforcement legislation in each of our states found at this link...
http://www.alipac.us/forum-24.html

Today we have a flash point in New Mexico! We need ALIPAC activists in every state in America to focus on New Mexico this week.

ALIPAC has worked hard to cut off licenses for illegal aliens and we have made progress. Only three states continue to issue licenses to illegals and today we have a chance of stopping New Mexico from continuing the practice.

The great news out of New Mexico is that the new Republican Gov. Susana Martinez has reversed the sanctuary policies established by Bill Richardson and ordered state police to check for immigration status! This is a major victory for our side.

The other good news is that Governor Martinez campaigned on the promise to stop New Mexico from giving licenses to illegal aliens. The fact she campaigned on this issue and won further confirms the polling data we have collected showing 62% - 77% of Americans oppose licenses for illegal immigrants.

ALIPAC Poll and Survey Collection Section
http://www.alipac.us/polls_surveys_opinions.html

The bad news is that the state legislature is trying to thwart the will of the American public by offering illegal aliens a special driving permit.

Article
New Mexico Legislature Trying To Give Special Driving Permits to Illegals!
http://www.alipac.us/article6050.html

After you have read the article above, please pick up your phone and call legislators in New Mexico along with us TODAY!

Sample Message

"I'm calling/writing today to ask you not to give special driving permits to illegal immigrants in New Mexico! New Mexico is one of only three states that continues the destructive policy of allowing illegal immigrants to receive state id and licenses. Polls show that most Americans want New Mexico to stop giving any form of driver licenses or ID to illegal immigrants. Please vote to stop New Mexico from giving licenses or special permits to illegal aliens!"

Remember to call, call, call with your messages and then follow-up your calls with written emails, faxes, and letters.

Here are the contact lists for all New Mexico state legislators.

States pursue English-only license testing
By Keith Goble, Land Line state legislative editor
Efforts to ensure that aspiring drivers have a firm grasp of the English language before they obtain their licenses to drive are drawing consideration at statehouses around the country. Another measure seeks to simply do away with driver’s licenses.
Supporters say they are concerned that people are allowed to drive on roads without a command of the English language. They say it’s a matter of safety.
Opponents say there are no studies that suggest English proficiency makes better drivers. They also note that legislative efforts do not apply to illiterate residents.
At least nine states already limit licensing tests to English only. Seven states have the language mandate for commercial drivers. Six states offer their tests in at least 17 languages. California leads the nation with 32 language offerings.
Missouri
Aspiring truck drivers in Missouri already are required to prove they have a firm grasp of the English language to obtain a license to get behind the wheel of a big rig. HB167, which could come up for consideration on the House floor as early as next week, would apply the same rule to all other drivers who want to be licensed in the state.
Both portions of the driver’s examinations – written test and skill test – would be required to be administered only in English. Currently, it is available in 12 languages.
Applicants’ ability to understand traffic signs and signals written in English also would be required. They would be prohibited from using translators while taking the tests.
Montana
The pursuit of English-only license testing is on the move in the Montana statehouse. House lawmakers voted 62-38 on Thursday, Feb. 3, to advance a bill to require the knowledge test, road test, and skills test to be offered only in English.
Montana now allows exams to be offered in English, Chinese, Russian and Spanish.
Rep. Janna Taylor, R-Dayton, said that it is a form of prejudice to offer the test in only four languages.
“We’ve decided for some reason we only care about the people speaking these four languages. That is being pretty prejudiced,” Taylor told her counterparts during House floor consideration.
This is not the Legislature’s first time to consider the English requirement. During each of the previous two sessions an effort to apply the English requirement to all forms of driver’s licenses, including commercial driver’s licenses, never emerged from committee.
This year’s version – HB302 – now heads to the Senate for consideration.
Tennessee
State Sen. Bill Ketron, R-Murfreesboro, is once again pursuing a bill to narrow the language options on the state’s written portion of the driver’s license exam, including commercial licenses, from four to one. Tennessee now permits exams to be conducted in English, Japanese, Korean and Spanish.
“I believe we need to offer the driver’s test either in all 52 languages, so as not to discriminate against any residents, or offer it only in the native language of our country,” Ketron wrote on his website. “It will be much less costly to offer the test only in English.”
In 2010, Ketron pursued a similar effort that sought to require all portions of the exam to be administered in English. This year’s version – SB10 – is awaiting consideration in the Senate Transportation Committee.
Texas
A House bill would require English-only driver’s tests for all license applicants. Currently, testing for a standard vehicle license is available in English and Spanish. CDL’s for intrastate haulers are also available in both languages.
Sponsored by Rep. Tim Kleinschmidt, R-Lexington, the bill – HB615 – is awaiting assignment to committee.
Utah
The Senate Transportation Committee has advanced a bill that would help refugees attain their driver’s licenses. Refugees legally in the U.S. would be allowed to take their first license test in their native language.
Intended to help new refugees become self-sufficient by getting a four-year license, the bill – SB47 – would require English-only testing when they renew.
Illegal immigrants attempting to gain a license would not be affected by the change. They must still pass the test in English.
The bill now awaits Senate floor debate. If approved there, it would move to the House.
Georgia
The state of Georgia now limits the signage portion of the written test and the driving test to be in English. The House Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee voted Thursday to approve a bill – HB72 – that would trim the written portion of the test from 14 languages to English only. Its next stop is the House floor.
Affected applicants could still get a temporary license in another language, but for only 10 years. At that time, testing must be done in English.
According to the Asian American Legal Advocacy Group, the bill would affect about 5,000 applicants each month. The group has also raised concerns about the proposal potentially leading to the loss of some federal funding.
Meanwhile, another effort in the House would make the English-only debate a moot point. Rep. Bobby Franklin, R-Marietta, has introduced a bill that would do away with Georgia’s driver’s licenses.
In his bill, Franklin states: “Free people have a common law and constitutional right to travel on the roads and highways that are provided by their government for that purpose. Licensing of drivers cannot be required of free people, because taking on the restrictions of a license requires the surrender of an inalienable right.”
Franklin’s bill – HB7 – is awaiting consideration in the House Motor Vehicles Committee.
Editor’s Note: Please share your thoughts with us about the legislation included in this story. Comments may be sent to statelegislativedesk@ooida.com.

Let's Shut Down The Last Three Illegal Alien License Mills!
Posted on Monday, February 07 @ 10:59:02 EST
Topic: licenses for illegal aliens terrorists Friends of ALIPAC,

Only three states continue to openly give licenses to illegal aliens although 77% of Americans oppose the practice. These licenses are threshold documents which are then used to steal American taxpayer resources, jobs, and classroom seats from innocent Americans and legal immigrants.

The final three states that are acting as document mills for the illegal alien invasion of America are New Mexico, Utah, and Washington state!

Stopping all non emergency taxpayer benefits for illegal aliens, such as licenses, is essential to ALIPAC's national strategy to reverse illegal immigration. ...

If you have not made your calls into New Mexico yet, please follow this link and correct that as soon as possible.

Call New Mexico lawmakers to stop licenses for illegals at this link...
http://www.alipac.us/ftopict-226748.html

There is important news coming out of Washington State.

They are FINALLY having hearings about illegal alien licenses. Please read the details here.

WA - Lawmakers consider immigration, licenses issue
http://www.alipac.us/article-6058-thread-1-0.html

They are also learning, like many other states learned the hard way, that helping illegals with licenses draw them into a state!

Illegal-immigrant numbers in state jump 35% in 3 years
http://www.alipac.us/article6061.html

TAKE ACTION NOW IN WASHINGTON STATE.

We need ALIPAC supporters from every state in America to converge on Washington state with thousands of calls followed up with emails, faxes, and letters.

Our message to Washington State lawmakers

"Washington state is one of the last states in American that give licenses to illegal aliens. Over 77% of Americans oppose this. Licenses for illegal aliens aid and abet their unlawful presence and serve as a magnet to draw illegals into a state and the country. That is why the illegal alien population is growing so rapidly in Washington. Please stop giving licenses to illegal aliens immediately."

Here are the two links where you will find all of the phone numbers, emails, and contact information you need.

Washington State Senate

Washington State House
http://www.leg.wa.gov/house/representatives/Pages/default.aspx

Let's get those phones ringing off the hook in both Washington and New Mexico today to let them know that Americans from every state are sick and tired of these states pandering to illegal aliens.

ACTION 1: If you live in the other 379 Congressional Districts, send another fax urging your U.S. Representative to sign up. Find it here: www.NumbersUSA.com/actionbuffet

We need to get across the 100 mark before winter is over to show the House leadership that this is an issue the American voters really want tackled.

ACTION 2: Several dozens of you have a U.S. Representative who promised during the 2010 campaign to support an end to birthright citizenship -- but who have done nothing in the month since H.R. 140 was introduced.

You will find a specialized fax to send if your Congress(wo)man is one of those.

I can tell you that your reminding these Members of their promises has caused quite a few staff people to get their feathers ruffled and complain that NumbersUSA is being too pushy. One staffer said, "What's the rush, nothing's going to happen until next fall at the earliest, anyway."

That staffer attitude is exactly why it is so important for citizens like you to put the pressure on Members -- and keep it on.

Members of Congress love to string stuff out and out and out until it is too late to do anything about an issue. Let's have a House floor vote on birthright citizenship this year. Then, if we don't win the first time, we will have the roll call to know who our opponents are for sure and work on them for another vote in 2012.

We're especially finding that a lot of freshmen Members are a little startled to find out that voters in their Districts want action right away. KEEP STARTLING THEM.

YOUR CONTACT WTIH STATE LEGISLATORS IS CRITICAL RIGHT NOW

Something big is happening in at least one state legislature every day.

Keep track of the news on our NumbersUSA.com home page.

ACTION 3: And make sure you are sending every fax and responding to every phone action note we post on your Action Board for your state's officials.

Please don't miss a single opportunity. Because the districts for state legislators are so much smaller than for Members of Congress, we really do need EVERY ONE of you to send these faxes and make these phone calls.

VOTING ENDS TOMORROW FOR ADDITIONS TO OUR PRESIDENTIAL GRID ON IMMIGRATION STANCES

If you haven't already voted, you will find the survey at the top of your Action Board.

NumbersUSA members are voting for politicians to be included with the 9 who have the best polling and are already on our Presidential Hopefuls page.

This list is of people who have not taken themselves out of the race and have shown some interest in running for President.

Your votes break down like this after 6 days of filling out the survey:

20.1% -- Gov. Christie (N.J.)
18.4% -- Rep. Bachmann (Minn.)
12.6% -- Gov. Jindal (La.)

12.1% -- UN Ambassador Bolton
10.4% -- Gov. Perry (Texas)
08.2% -- Businessman Cain (Ga.)
08.2% -- Sen. Santorum (Pa.)

05.2% -- Gov. Daniels (Ind.)
03.2% -- Gov. Huntsman (Utah)
01.7% -- Gov. Pataki (N.Y.)

I would note that all of these are Republicans because no Democrat has indicated an interest in challenging Pres. Obama in the Primaries.

THANKS FOR KEEPING THE PRESSURE ON YOUR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS. THEY NEED IT.

Friends of ALIPAC,

NEWSFLASH!

John McCain (202-224-2235) and his proxy operative SC Senator Lindsey Graham (202-224-5972) have returned to negotiations with the Obama administration on Amnesty for illegals!

Is there anyone on our lists who actually believed McCain's campaign promises to abandon his support for Amnesty in 2010? Many Arizona voters told us "he has changed" and they were wrong.

Many of you will recall that almost a year ago ALIPAC knocked Graham away from the negotiating table to buy the American public time for another election. The elections have passed and those of you betting on how long it would take for McCain and Graham to return to their efforts to pass Amnesty for illegal aliens can now settle your bets.

STATE LEVEL LEADERS NEEDED

We appreciate all of you who are calling and writing your state legislators from home, but we need more of you to stand up and take a leadership role.

While ALIPAC will work hard to track state legislation in every state, gather news reports to help you, and send out email alerts for state legislation hot spots when the time calls for it, more is needed.

We need more of you to take a stronger leadership role in your state. We need you to actually set your mind to passing legislation to crack down on illegal immigration in your state and to do what it takes to make that happen.

We are finding state lawmakers eager to take on this issue, but they need more people in the hallways of the legislature along with them providing support in the form of information, lobbying, communications, etc...

Make no mistake! The illegal aliens and their supporters are in the hallways and offices of your state legislature right now! Their well funded and well organized groups are doing their best to stop our advance!

You need no experience to do this. You simply need the will and determination.

Where there is a will, there is a way.

The most powerful way to motivate and influence lawmakers is face to face in their legislative offices. You can go on your own or in small groups.

If you are willing to head up the state legislation push in your state and you are willing to physically go into your state legislative offices to lobby, please send your name, address, phone number, and email to
WilliamG@alipac.us

Please include some information regarding how often you can go and how much time you can spend on this effort.

Please include your state name in the subject line of your email.

We need more focused state leaders moving into position right away to handle the unprecedented amount of state level legislation we need to address.

We need state leaders to arise to this challenge and ALIPAC will help you every step of the way.
