Leaf was almost as big a prospect as Manning and Pol

in the chargers defense Leaf was a huge prospect . Some people had him over manning . Even polian himself said taking manning over leaf was not a total slam dunk at the time
Chargers wanted to trade up to 1 to take Manning but Colts said no. Eventually that decision came down to between the ears. Leaf was all over the place in interviews while Manning came prepared to interviews with exact questions, different personnal opinions; sober.

All Leaf had then was swagger and cockiness..... with size and a big arm

The odds of Fields playing for another team next season not named the bears is over 50%

I think they dump him.... Been very quiet about it..
He still has 1st round trade value .
Some team will be dumb enough to give them a 1st .
Hopefully not the saints

Just sad a team would be that dumb. Don't get it. Would love to be a fly on the wall in those meetings.

If I had it my way, trade back to 9-12 and take a left tackle.... Get a 3rd this year and 1st next year. See Drake Maye and his development and then potentially do it next year.

Play Ehlinger all year... Let him know now... He is the guy.. Give him a full calendar year to throw with receivers, etc... Then this time next year you know exactly what you have.

Let these other dumbass teams " win the draft" before the season is kicked off and take a CJ Stroud.
As a Buccaneers fan we're the same boat as you guys right now at the QB position

This coming season?

No chance Chicago is done with him

They are actually excited about him
Probably means 2024

Chicago is not going to surround him with pieces, even with cap space and draft resources

Arguably the dumbest franchise in the NFL

Outside of the Raiders, no team should sign Aaron Rodgers. You know you only have the for 1-2 years to start with... He is beyond flakey. He is kind of 1 of those far left crazy liberals

He doesn't get close to anyone right away so it would take a couple years for him to want to throw to you anyway. Thats how he was even with Devante Adams.

He isn't walking through any doors and immediately start throwing to strangers.

I disagree. They are being quiet because they are going to try to fleece a team.... Their GM isn't the guy who drafted the moron.

This is basically their last year to get any trade value on him because of 1. after next season, everyone will know he sucks and 2. still under rookie deal.

When in that spot, it is best to take a flyer mid round on a qb, try to build your roster since you aren't paying anything for a QB..... Take a young guy... Kyle Trask in your case and just tell him... You are the guy... This will be a 1 year try out. Throw 5 picks?? You are the starter nect week...

You will know excatly what you have in a year... If he sucks, you are still paying him nothing and will have a top pick..... If he is good... you are still paying him nothing and have a player at the most important position and are set to build around him.

It is like you are either KC or the 49ers. I think your approach and how you handle yourself are different knowing you are the #1 guy vs being a Chad Henne.

Will tell you right now; Jordan Love sucks. The entire league knows it too.

Is that just some guy writing an article on trades he'd like to see?

Mike Evans demands a 1st round pick
Cap relief for the Bucs, for a younger WR with upside who will make at least 80% of those catches.

Evans is also a UFA after this season, which means they could lose him for nothing.

What happened to Evans last season? He fell off a cliff. I would never sign a player like that unless I could get him cheap. He also gets dinged way too much for a big money player.

You may not get the #1 pick in the draft for another 50 years
There are NFL teams that have never had the 1st pick of the draft .

Unless you think Fields is better then every QB in this draft and by a lot you trade him .

This does 2 things . Gets you a new QB and also resets the rookie contract timeline
