its 88 degrees with humidity at 39%.....watchin the cws and got to thinkin about some blackberries i seen up on the ridge a few weeks ago....if they're ripe, would taste awfully good with some heavy whipped cream...hmmm....havent had my mandatory 24 hrs rest from joggin but im guessin that walkin uphill does'nt activate the same muscles as joggin....looks like a job for mr google......'keep the continue'

last night was 1st time since i started joggin that i pushed myself more than a casual jog...id go as hard as i possibly could for 1/4 mile then walk 1/4 mile.....wheeew...30 fkn years of smokin will slow yer ass down....only have 4 more days leftin this 30 day challenge,so tryin to figure out a new one for july...am considerin the walk jog walk jog,or what they call LSD..long slow distance.............im headin up on the ridge to check out the blackberries.........'keep the continue'

took the same route as last evenin and the exact same time..31 minutes...rained sometime durin the night and so had some clean air this mornin...have very much enjoyed yesterdays and todays abbreviated walks...might incorporate these into next months challenge....also noticed last night that i slept very well after goin out.... joggin gets me so revved up(for several hrs) that sleep is out of the question..by tonight i'll have 48 hrs rest from same so lookin forward to that.....'keep the continue'

just checked (thats whats so good about a journal) and last jog was wednesday @ 12 midnight.....all the experts say yer body needs 48 hrs to recuperate..tryin to get in the habit of waitin the full 48 cause i know i should....from my experience the rest period might be even more important than the exercise...... ...'keep the continue'

77 degrees with humidiy at 73%...parked at library, walked to bike trail(23) jogged 1st half of trail (30.50) took about a 5 minute stretch break..jogged back down trail (32) back to car(25)...was tryin to see if i could jog up that hill any faster than 31 minutes..gave it everything i had..=30 minutes and 50 seconds....reason it took 32 minutes to go back down was i put it in low gear and cruised.....by that time my ass was draggin and all i wanted to do was survive..lol.......just now, while addin up my joggin and walkin time, it came to me that my warmup and cooldown (45 minutes) is longer than what my entire workout used to be....yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeha...........next time i jog the bike trail the goal will be to get under 30 minutes(goin up)......my expectations are that i probably wont make it,but i'll give it all i've got....the worst thing that'll happen is i'll get a good cardio workout..its all good....(but not easy)...'keep the continue'

paked at library..walked down to forest(15) jogged the trail pus 2.5 miles on soccef field(80 minutes..yes thats EIGHTY minutes)walked back to car(22)....yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeha......gettin enough rest paid huge dividends........as i was joggin along,a guy passed me that i recognized as a dr who i've talked with a couple times, and i got to thinkin about him tellin me that he only jogged 1 day per week for 10 MILES..annnd,said he had done so since college(guy was around 50)..anywho..i said to myself if this fker can jog all night,so can i......after he passed me a couple more times,O U C H... i tucked my tail between my legs and headed back to the car..lol......after 30+years of chain smokin,im lucky to get out of bed........one thing that needs work is the way i prepare(or dont) to start joggin uphill....the calves are fine while im on flat land, but when i do a hill the back of my legs really get my attention.and then it levels off after about 30 minutes....sounds like another job for mr google.........'keep the continue'

after givin a lot of thought to the month of july challenge..i've decided to continue doin pretty much what i've been doin..reason for that is if i stay in the same place for more than a few days i get bored...the joggin is so much easier for me on july 1st than it was on june 1st...a month ago it was a challenge to finish 1 hour of joggin, and now (unless im doin hills) it really is like a walk in the park.......guess what im tryin to say is.........'keep the continue'.
