went back to the nature preserve yesterday mornin.....88 minutes of some great hikin......had a canopy of trees that some of 'em you couldnt see to the top.....when i got down to the water (ky river) was a beautiful sight...sides of the river (limestone, palisades, or whatever thy're called) im sure went up to at least 200 feet.....seen schools of ducks,muskrat,otter........i was the only person around and all you could hear was the sounds the wind, water, and animals were makin.......in that area the river is exactly the way it was hundreds of years ago.....i never seen a paper cup, beer can,bag of chips,..a couple of hand carved signs tellin you how to get in and out was the only evidence i seen that a human being had ever been there...nothin but mother nature the way it was meant to be..... there are only two trails in this preserve..the knights ferry, and the palisades...today i took the knights ferry..2mor ill probably check out the palisades......wish i had a little cabin right beside the river...YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHA...... while slowly makin my way back up the hill..i began to realize that i didnt want to leave..but was also hungry and thirsty.........luckily i'd brought along a plate of ham, gren beans, boiled eggs, a big red apple and a jug of ice water......after findin a just the right tree stump for a table and havin dinner, all i could think about was........what time am i comin back 2mor............first thing i've got to do 2mor is check out this dump that an old farmer wants to rent to me....primary attraction is you can go across the back fence and its 1/2 mile to the kentucky river..supposed to be straight down a gulley....( he said).......stay tuned............but most importantly.........'keep the continue'
